Dean could have been a top level scientist. But raising a family, and helping millions to achieve auditory bliss, is as Noble as any state of being. Great job 👍🏼
In some of these videos your music reminds me of the Spice Girls... I just got a 2019 GMC and toying with taking a vacation trip to have you both upgrade the speakers and the Head Unit to a DVD type.😊
I have a manual Jetta mk5, to get through the firewall, there is a gourmet just above the hole for clutch. If you take the battery tray out you can see the gourmet from under the hood. Poke a hole with a hanger, tape wire to the hanger, and pull it through. You can kinda see the area around 12:50.
Hello from Brazil! Just did myself a system on my 2015 Jetta. Stock HU, DSP, 5 channel amp, front 2way, coaxials on the rear doors and a Rockford P2 8" ported.
Hey Dean, listened to you on The Old Fashioned Car Audio Podcast the other day. You were talking about Fernando's old wire crimpers. Now you have me intrigued so I think he needs to show them off. Keep the great videos coming.
"ETON" makes some nice replacement speakers (with new rivets included, they work quite well) for all German vehicles, and they are made in Germany, rather than China.
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc I used to install forty years ago. It floors me how much has changed and truly how much has passed me by. I love your videos and the manner in which you explain in great detail, how to build systems correctly. I think it's safe to say, car stereo installers are far and above their auto tinting brethren! 😉
Im about to upgrade my front speakers with components on this same vehicle, does anyone know if its possible to replace the pillar tweeter or do i have to make a new location for it
Hello Mr. Dean ... I have a question .. Is there any difference in the quality of sound between Pioneer GM-D9705 and GM-DX 975 and which is better ... Please answer me.. and thanks in advance
He said he got a battery and on the speakers he took out he connected the wires till it made the speaker move so just color match the wires on the speaker once you find that part
hello 5star, in the pioneer GM-D9705 manual it says under "before you start" always install the amplifier on a flat surface. do not install the amplifier on a surface that is not flat. doing so could result in malfunction. so is it safe to install amplifier on it side like you have?
By flat they mean an even surface. Vertical or horizontal can still be even or uneven. If you attach the amp to a surface that is not even the mounting screws could be twisting the case and cause damage.
My sis in law got an aftermarket boss stereo installed in her jetta but it stays on even after she turns the key off. And her steering controls don’t work. I’m trying to help her but I’m new to the stereo systems can y’all help me?
1st step: remove that Boss stereo 2nd step: find the biggest hammer you have and apply aggressively to that entire Boss stereo 3rd step: Clean up mess then dispose of into Trash can 4th step: Buy a reputable brand Car stereo 5th step: Remember that "cheap" is cheap for a reason
Dont stand directly in front of the blade on a table saw. Its dangerous if it kicks back. Please use some safety sticks too. Those machines are dangerous.

Fabulous job! I remember when I upgraded my 2014 Jetta 9 years ago. I did use an adapter ring for 6 1/2 “ speakers, though.

Nice video! Learned many things from your videos. From the Philippines 🇵🇭
I like how Fernando says reverse trigger.
Fernando's safety squints 😁, good job!

Nice work guys. Fernando is a wizard with the fabrication.
looking at this PAC interface makes me glad that we have the Connects2 interfaces here in the UK 😂😂
Good video. There is a aftermarket switch blank usb for near the gearstick :)
What size bolt did you use on the battery terminals. Currently running into this problem installing my system.
Hey, great how to.
Where did you guys fit the ground for amp, will soon be installing into a euro passat 3g5, any info greatly appreciated.
Hello from Tennessee my friends
Seagulls having a party 🎉 🤣 this is Florida 👍🏼😂🤣 Bronx NY ✌🏼😎

Thank you
The very best people!
They had a racing league for these cars a few years ago, always wanted to know about this
You remind me of another UA-camr "landmodo". You guys gotta be brothers, cousin's atleast! Great video BTW.
ah man i knew it where are you located in Florida? I am looking for older models that you had in previous videos and isntallation
Where did yall mount the ground for the amp?
Didn't know they still sold Jettas. Bring back the VW Rabbit!
The MK5 platform had the Rabbit with the 2.5L 5 cylinder.
Safety goggles my guy!
Great video
Thanks
I have a Jetta with the Fender system-having issues getting strong enough signal to aftermarket amp/sub.. you have any suggestions?
So when using ABS for amp plates under the seats if clearances are tight, do you ever use 1/8" instead of 1/4" ABS?
Yes all the time

That quote was from the Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis movie, The Campaign.

@@Jettics34 Yes from google somebody wrote that the dx 975 is for High-resolution audio
Jose works hard
Is it bad that I cracked at wrong hole
Put your safety glasses on Fernando!!!!
what are your top 3 Tracks for tweaks and EQ tuning?
What is the best way to wire amp to door speakers with stock head unit?
How did you figure out which factory speaker wires from the vehicle were positive and negative? I can never find a diagram on mine for my Jetta.
He said he got a battery and on the speakers he took out he connected the wires till it made the speaker move so just color match the wires on the speaker once you find that part
Did he skip the rear door tweeter install ?
what radio did you use
Why not just use harness adapters to make it more oem to avoid cutting wires 🤔
He did very clearly answer this in the video. Did you ignore it or just not like the answer?

Hi guys. Good to see a Vw in the install bay!
Amp risers? Which ones do you use or do you create your own? AKA Mobile Dawg
We use the 8 awg wire sizers that come in fuse holders.
Clever and brilliant. Thanks

We use it to protect the shifter from getting scratched.
