GeforceNow allows me to play game during summer without having to turn AC on, literally saving me money.
The VRR side of it isn't limited to the 4080's - the international 3080 subs get it too thankfully. Just no 4k 120 (1440p 120 though)
the overlay shows you playing at 4k60 with a gigabit connection but only 50mbps was being used. why dont they let people who have a internet connection, router, cpu and gpu that can handle a higher bitrate to use it to get a less compressed and more detailed stream? like maybe not gigabit but if were paying for the top tier subscription why not let it go to like 100 or 150 mbps atleast. still the same framrate or res but just a less compressed video stream to get higher detail
As a home user, sending 100 Mbps would cost me 35 bucks a month. With such expense, would you set up a 100 Mbps service for 20 bucks a month?
In my region, 50 Mbps is near half the price.
Enterprise is somewhat different of course, but basically bandwidth is not free.
@@RadioactiveBlueberry yeah well lots of people already have a capable connection. i pay £70/month for 650mbps so the more i can make use of it the better
2500 Mbps for 19$ per month with my provider in Serbia 😁, 65 inch oled S95B,GFN ultimate membership
you can actually use up to 90mbps if you fiddle with the geforce now config file.
What's better than not owning the games you play? Not owning the hardware you rent to play them. 🤑
Rent play move on
Yep 😐 not cool at all. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good for some. But I’m native hardware till I die ( or run out of money )🥺
@@tituscrow4951 as long as Ubisoft doesn't precedent
Digital games > proprietary tech
@@chr1998isim ok with not owning game ( gamepass). And not owning hardware ( GeForceNow)
I know Nvidia doesn't work on Gamestream anymore, but I would love to see this type of VRR support implemented in Moonlight/Sunshine.
Moonlight with sunshine works with vrr but the funny thing is the client has to use an AMD GPU for decoding.
Putting game pass on geforce was a stroke of genius, playing games like Starfield, Remnants 2 and Diablo 4 on a 4080 is a real treat.
The fact that my 1080Ti can't do the VRR on Geforce Now because it's not a 16 series or 20 and up pisses me off to no end
I have a 1060 6gb and a gsync compatible Monitor and the feature works just fine for me
I've used the 4080 tier service for the past couple of months, and it's pretty incredible when it works. There was a 2-3 week period when I kept getting kicked off the servers despite no problems on my end, but I haven't had any trouble lately. It's also a bit buggy: there's an option to keep your game settings between play sessions, but if I use it I get constant screen tearing no matter what I do. Once I uncheck that option, however, the problem clears up. I can also confirm that playing with a gamepad hides a lot of latency (I have reflex enabled as well).
I'm still rocking a 6700k with a GTX 1080, so to have access to a high end rig to play Cyberpunk with path tracing is amazing.
Really hard to say it's not on your end. I've been through this myself when blaming servers when sometimes my ISP is having issues and working 99% of the time, but just enough issues at the 1% to cause drops whether it be something like Warframe or even streaming/UA-cam. WIFI in general can cause moments of interference or drops as well. There's just so many factors, but very easy to point the finger and blame the receiving network automatically. Since packets often travel different paths to reach a destination, it can even be one path out of many that just isn't up to snuff and is enough to kick you as data isn't coming together. Many times have I assumed it was the server down or having issues until looking it up and finding out it's just me and I'm having some instability somewhere. Even a VPN left on through tunneling causes issues. Many times a simple shut down of the router and booting it back up fixes the instability as it can have issues in the routing tables and needing a flush to re update them.
Gfn needs to get jedi survivor
Gfn4080 is amazing. Fiber 500 up also down zero issues play call of duty with out one issue with a 3.8 kd. If you are a console gamer input to me os better on gfn. If you some hard core pc player who thinks 1 ms is the end of the world you will fine something wrong but that is just a normal pc gamer.
Twitch still hasn't pushed out AV1 support. Think it's in beta
When it works, and in my experience the past 4months or so it usually does, it's a pretty amazing service. It will likely be awhile before it pleases the biggest pixel peepers out there. But for 99% of people, it's quite amazing. Could definitely see this, or something similar being the future of PC gaming.
HDR needs to be encoded with a 10 bit color codec to smooth out the color banding artifacts. Macroblocks are still there
Holy crap he only has 5ms connection to their datacenter
So..Nvidia keeps on improving $hit for gamers and streamers. It is _any wonder,_ that they #1 for so long?
Many out there who buy otherwise really don't understand what you are talking about. Price 2 performance ratios for raster is the only thing that matters.
Gotta love Nvidia constantly embarrass Google without even trying
There is no HDR unless you also buy the $199 Nvidia Shield TV!
I’m a cloud rookie and just figured that out. I will say now that I bought one it’s phenomenal but rookie customers should be aware of this necessity
You can also have HDR on PC, you know that right?
Let’s hope Nvidia fixes VRR on macOS/freesync, it’s not working correctly at the moment.
When moving the mouse the Hz jumps to the monitor’s max disrupting VRR completely. The reason seems to be that even if the app is full screen macOS uses an hardware cursor that is tied to the monitor Hz rather than following game FPS and what VRR tells the system to set Hz to
I play on Mac. What the best setting then?
dr. guy
They need to get steering wheel support - I have no idea. I purchased ATS and ETS2 - Here I am sitting in my recent Cher playing with a controller
love geforce now ultimate, only downside is that not all games are supported, and you cannot use it for anything else then gaming.
Lack of Sony published games is the biggest annoyance for me. But even on Starlink with ~28ms ping I find a lot of games to be really enjoyable. You can increase the bitrate too for higher quality.
I really wish there was a 90fps + HDR Steam Deck client. I currently use the electron based 60fps SDR client. It works in a pinch. Steam Remote Play HDR support would be nice to have too.
i was always told this wasn't possible. hopefully we're able to get VRR with Moonlight and Sunshine some day
I literally love this channel!
I've been with GeForce NOW in Australia since they first launched a private beta. It's amazing!
Geforce NOW + Handheld and/or Chromebook. The best value gaming experience anywhere.
It literally looks and feels like it's running from a local system.
It's a shame ours is governed by pentanet and there's no 4080 in sight.
@@Mantenner Yeah I was hoping for the 4080 upgrade, but I guess we will probably receive that, just prior to the 5080 US rollout?
@@aussieanon-369 mate, you won't believe this. They literally just upgraded to 4080s. They must have seen our conversation haha.
@@Mantenner yeah I know!!!! Fricking awesome!!! Now, if we could only win the CloudGG VIP desktop PC this month
still cant play all your games
Oh
Switch 2 with cloud enhanced visuals maybe??
It's nintendo so no
PC Gaming will always be more powerful than consoles. Imagine playing on 30fps in 2024.
$400 PC? Can it do that?
@@ottomaticallyawesome Long term pc is cheaper. No paying for multiplayer and the games are less expensive to buy.
@@zerus4435 imagine thinking all console games run at 30fps 😂... even switch has so 60fps
@@zerus4435 I’ll grant you that, but the upfront cost is a lot more, and not everyone plays multiplayer games and people like to own their games physically. So yeah a $2,000 PC will out perform a $400 console, but I think it all kinda evens out when you consider everything.
@@mikeuk666 some even 120/VRR with far better HDR without tinkering,
