Jessica interesting because I was thinking he reminded me of Chris Chan, who for anyone not aware of who that is. All that you need to know here is he has autism.
He doesn't really understand. People, like my nephew, with autism are taught how to mimick certain expressions in a situation. My nephew has this awkward, very unsettling smile when he engages in communication with people because he was taught that other humans expect that greeting. He looks like a psycho 🤣. He has zero filter ... he says exactly what is on his mind. It's one of his more charming behaviors because we should all be as honest. He'd say he understands right from wrong, but left to his own devices he'd do whatever popped into his head.
I watched a few of these videos now and I noticed that some of the people who were being interrogated didn't seem aware of the situation. I think Russell was definitely vocalizing internal dialogue rather than actually hallucinating someone there. It fits with his theatric eccentricity in pretending to be a supervillain character when he’s left alone without stimuli. Knowing he’s on camera only increases his desire to act and try to intrigue whoever he is imagining is on the other side. He’s like a little kid playing pretend.
It's terrifying that having your own child rebel against you so hard for having what is considered a socially unacceptable relationship gets you brutally murdered. So sad, and so terrifying.
It's amazing how manipulative the girl is. I can see how she could wield a ton of power over someone like Gavin. Doesn't take away the fact that he committed the murder, but he was definitely pushed into it against his will and brainwashed. When weak willed people meet an effective manipulator, then things seem to go wrong very fast.
God help Russell's cellmate. There are few crimes I could envision they were convicted of to be worth the punishment of being forced to live with this man for years.
Jesus Christ, I never even thought of that... imagine trying to shut your eyes, to go sleep and all you hear is Russell's rambling nonsense....23hrs a day 😵💫
I went to school with a girl like her. One day she threw herself into my arms, fake crying that her brother had died in the military. But I wasn't too sorry for her because two weeks ago she said her brother died of cancer and before that her brother died in a car accident. I asked one of her friends how many brothers does she have and the friend rolled her eyes and said she doesnt have any brothers.
I know Russell steals the show with the arch-villain schtick, but Ellie having a coughing fit from drinking every time something serious was brought up was hysterical, especially since she didn’t do that at all once the real talk started happening.
She also didn’t do it when she was alone in the interrogation room. For someone so “intelligent,” you would think sweet Ellie would be aware that she was constantly being observed. Not so intelligent after all.
The investigators had such an easy day. One lies about everything and gives obvious signals, one confesses thinking himself to be a hero, and the third one investigates himself.
This is a truly delusional human being, there he sits in the interrogation room, nowhere to go and absolutely no leverage, and still he wholeheartedly believes he has the upper hand on the cops like he's some kind of mastermind supervillain, crazy.
She’s definitely the master mind. The way she’s acting innocently and sighing and saying clichés about the life of a teenage girl to evoke an understanding is so easily seen
It reminds me of that one criminal minds episode where the girlfriend was making her boyfriend and his friend torture and murder women for her. It was all based on the fact that she was raped repeatedly by family when she was younger, and because of her sociopathic personality, she needs to regain that power that was once taken from her. I see a lot of similarities with Ellen, except I am still hesitant to believe if she was actually abused. I would definitely speak with her sisters/mom to get a better understanding.
Mike: “I can twist your mind. I can manipulate cops and get around the legal system.” *Cops enter the room* Also Mike: *Tells them everything they need to hear*
I haven’t gotten to the section of the interview yet. But I’m guaranteed going to use it in a dead serious manner it with someone. I hope I don’t break up laughing in their face.
so many of these interviews are so dark and serious that i never laugh at them, just view intently. this guy is a complete class act, i’m only halfway in but i’ve laughed out loud multiple times 😂 fucking brilliant
Ellie is one of the most obnoxious people I’ve ever observed. The terrible awful attempts at seeking sympathy, the obnoxious robotic baby voice, coloring and acting like a child after being involved in the murder of your father is a massive red flag. Wish she got a harder sentence. PS : That detective deserves a massive raise for dealing with her.
It's possible she's acting like a child because her brain was broken by some sort of trauma...but also -- it's possible she's just straight up evil. Dunno. Known a lot of people who acted very child like and it was from trauma...but they also ended up being so extremely sick, dangerous and overall untrustworthy individuals.
You have to admit. She is a little cutie. She's no Jodi Aries. Like if I worked at her women's prison, I'd smash her. Her defiance makes me think she'd keep it on the low as our little secret, and I'm good as long as she doesn't get pregnant. She'd be a good ride or die. Don't you think 🤔
Considering her childlike regression it WOULD appear there was some kind of sexual abuse with the development of her childlike voice sounding like a girl around 6 years old that's when I'd say it likely began
or more like why did her dad get involved with her relationship as even though that they was under age the guy wasnt much over the minimum age either and they could have been dating before they both turned 16 and so therefore was both under age but even though this wasnt the case here but somewhere else in the world it does happen

I’m so glad everyone involved in this sucked at lying or just straight up monologued and explained themselves. Makes it easier for the police at least.
@@ontheblock2063 I watched the whole thing, the video explains it way later than I thought it should have. It’s mostly mental illness in Gavin and Mike, along with theories that Ellen was the manipulator in the situation. Mike was the worst of the three when it came to how his mental illness affected his everyday life and ability to logically rationalize, compared to a neurotypical person’s ability. This caused him to want to be a protector (he says of specifically women, not in a creepy way like it sounds) and he went to extreme lengths to live his fantasy of basically being an anti-hero. Luckily, the video does address that mental illness usually makes people a victim instead of an abuser or attacker, handling the stigma well if you ask me.
I feel bad for him. Probably not unique sentiment but I don’t think he was fully aware the situation he got (found) himself in. Doesn’t seem like life has been kind to him and prison is likely to make that worse.
It’s funny that he is truly mentally illl? Un medicated, autistic, bipolar and extremely unaware that this is going to be a life changing event. He is mentally unstable and i personally do not think he should serve any time
Its hard to feel much besides annoyance. When the person is so clearly faking it as a manipulation technique. I think that she is finding the detectives harder to manipulate than a couple of moderately functional autistic guys and her parents.

The detective interrogating Ellen is _extremely_ patient and impressively skilled at shutting down every attempt she makes to evade the questions. They definitely picked the correct person to interrogate this strange girl.
I feel bad for Russell. I feel that seeing the dead guy might have triggered his psychosis during the interrogation considering his account of it being scary. Having been a foster kid AND a homeless youth, I know that dude’s been through some trauma. I like a criminal with a sense of morality. Being a young white autistic male, there’s some pretty hateful ideologies he could have fallen into. But instead he learned to value justice and protection of women and children and the homeless. I’m not saying he was right to assist in the murder. I just think he’s a complex dude and I hope he gets some guidance and rehabilitation and mental health treatment and becomes a really good social worker someday

Was he part of planning the brutal murder of that man?
I like the part where he said "It's Bipolarin time", and bipolarized all over those guys.
🤣🤣 stooopp
Truly one of the investigations of all time
mf said bipolaring time and snitched on the other half
Time?
@@nastyfox9929 It's a Morbius meme
The smash cuts to Russell discrediting all Ellie's lies are superb.
lMao yeah actually hilarious 💀
What's the guy's name?
"Gavin."
"Justin."
"Hmmph."
Beautiful editing!😂
Funniest video I’ve seen on this channel by far, solely because of those edits. 10/10
What do you think your friends are saying?
Russel: "Wanna see a magic trick?!"
Yep, Ellie is one of the worst people to ever live, Entirely evil. Every single word from her mouth is a lie.
What’s crazier: this entire case OR the fact that the dog is named “sparkle beak”
The dog’s name was most likely chosen by the younger sisters, which is so sad :(
Considering this cast of characters, its about par for the course. I'd have been shocked if he'd been named Spot.
We had a dog named "wags".......🤭......bcuz
He didn't.............😁
It was probably named by the younger kids. Kids name pets weird stuff. My childhood cat was named Turtle McQueen Elizabeth Scar the Fifth. Me and my 3 siblings decided on different parts of her full name and that was what went on all of her paperwork.
My younger brother named his cat "Cat," the kids are not too original lmao
