    I didn't know such cool skate blades existed! This would be really fun to bring out once the lakes freeze where I live.

    How is the stability of such a setup, for example on a comfy FR1/2/3 boot? (I have an FR3)
    And is there any danger that the mounring would not be strong enough, like danage the mount points?

    • @Thisissoul

      that will all be fine. so far we have sold hundreds of these without any of the problems you mention.

    i have been looking for a while now but haven't had any luck. Are there any combo ice and roller skates out there? even if its not "supported" by the manufacturer.... Something like the m12 should be universal enough to switch back and forth every season. this video here seemed more about a permanent conversation

    Is there any differences between using just a blade setup or a full-frame setup like trinity? Any stability, stiffness,performance differences?

    • @Thisissoul
      @Thisissoul  2 роки тому

      I can imagine a full frame would be stiffer. But just bij holding it in my hands i sont see any big differences no

    • @endrehalasz
      @endrehalasz 2 роки тому

      not much difference really. you choose by what setup you want to build / what type of boot / frame you have to fit the blade on. size (length) of the blade however matters, make differences, of course, and you can further configure your blade by sharpening it to different diameters and profiling them. that counts a lot.

    Hey I'm interested in trying a double-bladed ice skate for adults as I'm not a good skater/unsteady on my feet. However, I only find these available in children's sizes.
    Would it be possible to create my own double-bladed skate using the first method of conversion in your video? I mean, there would be room for two blades between the wheel attachments with a spacer between the two?

    I am currently thinking of buying some ground control ufs ice blades to throw them on my 909 or SX boots. However I still don't know how they compare to a dedicated ice hockey skate. I've heard that the most important benefit of ice hockey skates is the flexibility to the side, something inline skates don't offer. Have you tried both? What is your opinion?

    Would the ice blade fit on the usd aeon 80s?

    • @leonardticsay8046
      @leonardticsay8046 2 роки тому +2

      No. Aeons by nature are unibody construction. You *can* put ufs mount frames on them, *but* it would require sawing the frame off and drilling new holes in the boot. I highly advise against doing that. Also.
      UFS compatible boots and frames have interlocking annular indents and detents that are molded into the plastic. It protects against shear stress on the UFS bolts.
      Without the interlocking system, you risk high shear stress on the bolts.

      @@leonardticsay8046 Thank you for the answer! I was actually asking about the first ice blade that was shown in the video Since they don’t require you to remove your frame, would they still be compatible with the aeons?
