Good video man! I like to use EMP in the campaign, it really helps to capture and salvage enemy ships.
Yeah I have yet to compete the campaign but can imagen is saves a lot of resources! I should try that too sometime
@@GMODISM lol, neither have I. I usually get past the White Flayers but run out of creativity when it comes to the Lightning Hoods. I'll tend to focus on one game, play the crap out of it and get bored and move on. Then, months later I'll come back and restart from scratch. That's how I have thousands of hours in KSP and have never been past Duna lol!
how do you get that EMP surge for testing?
Found it, it's in the Z menu in the designer
I noticed when you used the weapon controller you didn't insulate the underside with rubber as well, is there a reason for this?
We are building on a turret, so the game needs to go throught the turret block to get at it, it won't just jump structures :)
@@GMODISM The weapons controller isn't a part of the turret structure, it's part of the main craft. If it is sitting directly on armor, isn't it still vulnerable?
@@rylanyoung2018 Yeah if it's installed inside the armour like for fixed guns and not on a turret block we need to make it insulated on all sides :)
@@GMODISM the weapon controller is placed on the main construct with or without it being a turret. If the weapon controller block itself is vulnerable the weapon could be disabled by emp even if the turret block is undamaged. The block underneath the weapon controller is metal in the video and the rubber only blocks the open air
@@rylanyoung2018 It is placed on the turret sideways. For the game logic, the turret block itself is the sole point of connection between the turret and it's hull, even if you clip them through each other.
You can insulate the turret from the hull completely by just placing turret block on rubber. Probably not the smartest idea, as something may blast that weak rubber away, but is a possibility.
