HELVELLYN - My favourite mountain

Helvellyn - my favourite mountain. This is one of the most popular walks in the Lake District. There are many routes up and down the mountain, some easy and some more precarious. In this video, I show you some of the sites and environments to expect on a winter walk from Glenridding, over Striding Edge, to the summit plateau, and descending via Swirral Edge and Catsye Cam, back to Glenridding. Included in the video is a brief rundown of the gear I brought for this winter walk.

My all time favourite mountain too . Lost count of the ascents I've made , and loved everyone one of them . Spent my 50th Birthday up there with my partner . It took me 6 years to get her up there but she did great and saw what we see , and now knows why we love it so much .
