PIKE of STICKLE: a winter walk

Join us on our winter walk in the English Lake District up the Pike of Stickle via Stickle Ghyll and Stickle Tarn. Weather conditions were variable, with occasional snow flurries, but that all added to the challenge. The Pike of Stickle is at an elevation of 709 metres (2,326 feet) and is located in the Great Langdale Valley. It is one of the three fells (mountains) of the Langdale Pikes. The others are Harrison Stickle and Loft Crag,
During our walk we meet other hikers and their canine companions, including Archie, a black Labrador.
Following our descent, we enjoy a much-deserved pint at the famous Old Dungeon Ghyll pub.

We must be Brothers from Another Mother . First we share a Favourite Mountain - Helvellyn (I'm the guy that spent his 50th up there) ,
Now Langdale - Another big favourite of mine . It's a cracking valley , it's got everything going for it . Easy to get to , some of the best walks/climbs in the Lakes - The Pikes , Crinkle Crags , Bowfell , wild camp spots , and as you know - one or four really good pubs . Another well put together upload , nice mellow thoughtful presentation . Subbed .
