Those 5 principles are very powerful and will help us to understand what we need to do to win a fight. What I need to work on his 5: tactics ( when I’m in the bottom, know when to attack or to defend). Study time!!!

Good point, I need to work on that as well, along with all the other principles! These can become infinitely complex... Thanks for the comment, Seb!

Thanks, Mehmood! I know I’ve learned a lot from countless martial arts teachers online, but I don’t think I’ve seen many copy our content... any examples?

Grappling holds and submissions are difficult for me. I try to watch them but still I don't understand what I'm watching.

Don't worry, it takes time. Study, practice, and watch grappling matches, you'll get there!

Grappling and wrestling, two terms I have difficulty in understanding, were one ends and the other continues. Maybe you're could explain. Thanks Patrick nice video.

Of course, still plan to do the "Principles of Wrestling" and "Principles of Striking" videos in the near future. To make it simple, Wrestling is when both opponents are on their feet (or knee) with hips not touching the floor, and are trying to take each-other down. Grappling is when one or both partners are already down. Hope this helps!

Yeah... I can see how it could seem that way. But it’s actually a beautiful illustration of the concept of control through positional advantage and posture manipulation.
      Hope this helps!

@@momthegreatest It’s normal for the uninitiated to see only the suggestive nature in any grappling position. With time though, you only see them for what they are: great means of control to defend or inflict damage on an opponent. It just takes some getting used to.
      Thanks for the comment! 🙏

Lol... It’s quite normal for neophytes to only see the suggestive nature of these positions. Just keep training and educating yourself on grappling, and eventually you just see these positions for what the are: great ways to control an opponent and defend or inflict damage!
      Hope this helps 😊
