WHAT THEY SHOULD DO IS CEATE A SEPARATE VIDEO FOR EACH MOVE. LET IT LOOP FOR 3 TO 5 MINUTES AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. SO WE CAN PRACTICE AS WE WATCH IT. THIS IS TOO QUICK.
So I was always hesitant to get a grappling dummy and I finally I guess you could say took a chance and got this and I absolutely love it. I just got a day and have a messing around with it for the last few hours and it's amazing
Great video. I love the Grappling Smarty, best dummy on the market and finally a great demonstration of the possibilities. Please maybe start another video series, once only with Armbars or Kimura variants and so on. That would be great
We just opened up the 2.0! Too stoked. My 5 and 3 year old are playing with him first, I guess that’s what happens when you have small children. But this video is gonna help me a lot, so thank you. ☺️
Too fast? Solution: If you're using the UA-cam mobile app, click on the video while it's playing, then the wrench round setting icon at the top right, select playback speed, and go to 0.75x
Just placed an order for a kid size one for my son and daughter. It would be nice to see videos on how kids who are just starting out could possibly take advantage and train with this dummy. Maybe a set of a dozen techniques that they can work on at certain belt levels.
Yeah, you don't want it to be too heavy, because it becomes challenging to reset it on top from the bottom position. Unless you just want to use it to lift... Hope this helps!
I'm definitely considering getting one since I just ripped the head of my submission master grappling dummy, plus this dummy is less weight (submission master grappling dummy is 85lbs) and almost impossible to do certain moves, unless you are 6'2" and have long arms
I have the submission master too and I'm 6 ft. Bob Doris must have incredibly long legs and arms to pull of the moves he demonstrated in his videos, lol! - I'm thinking about getting the Grappling Smarty XL so I can work on my leg locks.
I just started doing BJJ and used to do MMA, wished I known about these dummies, looks prettty cool. My question to those who have one is do these dummies have any resistance to them or can they easily been thrown over even if you're not always sure what you're doing? I personally would want something with resistance. These dummies just look like a blown up balloon in the shape of a person, would I be correct in saying that?
I just put an A5 Starpro on my XL and it was pretty tight and tough to get the jacket on it. Sleeves stop approx an inch from dummy wrists and are fairly tight so getting grips is not a quick grab.
I am considering something like this but having a hard time understanding if it's worth 3x the cost of something you could grab off of amazon. Also, as someone who is 6ft 4, is there a larger size availble?
To understand better why the Grappling SMARTY is more than worth it, please check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/zvdt58ANntM/v-deo.html Also, given your size, I would recommend waiting for the larger SMARTY XL, which we're still planning to launch before the end of 2022. We're in the final stages of prototype development right now. Please stay tuned to our mailing list on GrapplingSMARTY.com and follow us on IG @grapplingsmarty to be among the first to know when it comes out! Thanks, Patrick
The SMARTY is made from the most durable materials on the market, and the main difference is that it is in a proper grappling stance, with knees above the hip line and elbows in front of the body, which makes for much more realistic training! Hope this helps :)
The SMARTY is made from the strongest materials available on the market. It's not indestructible, but it is very sturdy. It will loosen up with training, but in my experience, that's actually a good thing, similar to how an old baseball mitt works better than a new one.
i just bought it and the limbs are very hard to move, there is huge tension and you need to really use full force, very disappointed. its way too hard, thought it was softer. i bought pre filled
Hey, thanks for the comment! Don't worry, your SMARTY will loosen up significantly with training over time. Similar to a new baseball mitt or pair of shoes, it works best once it's been "broken in" a bit. Hope this helps! Thanks - Patrick

Yeah dummies don’t move, and you are after those who are unconsciously unaware

This is an incredibly good video.
I'm digging this song
This is so awesome, I love the technique and it's so smooth and fast when applying it to the dummy.
Thanks! Glad you like it 🙏

Just found my next birtday present. Gr8 presentation
Just finished filling my XL yesterday. It's awesome!
3 hours and cant remember ever having my arms and chest so drained of strength dear god lol.

The sparring doll I train is 36 kg, it is very heavy. The filling is with flaps of fabric. The sparring puppet in the video appears to be lightweight.

This is so great, would love to see even more moves you would recommend doing with the grappling dummy! Thank you!
Thanks for the kind comment, Brendan!
I think we pretty much covered all the most important ones... lol
@@EffectiveMartialArts Haha yeah you're right, this is a terrific intro to grappling :)
How can you slow it down to learn this on the dummy
In the UA-cam app, click on settings (the cog wheel logo), then playback speed, and you can slow it down up to 25%. Hope this helps!
Great !
the fast speed is doing nobody any favors
Anyone know what gi size fits on it? Maybe a brand and size so I can order one.
A3 to be sure, but some brands you can fit an A2. Hope this helps! 🙏

Can you do judo throws on iy

Does it break easily? What is the difference with the amazon dummy?

How sturdy is this dummy, does it easily get worn out and has to be repacked.
