- In my opinion, the term "best friends" can only used when two people have known each other for more than 30 years and when these individuals agree that Honda's ATC 250R and Fourtrax 250R are the best machines ever built.
Anything less is just "pals".
So get your gas mixed at 32:1 and come meet us at Oldsmobile Hill. Braaap! - Авто та транспорт
Loved part 1, and part 2 did not disappoint. Takes me back to the 80s when my entire extended family used to go out to Glamis like you guys. All have drifted apart, and I wish I had the tight group you have that all go out and have such a dang good time! I kept all my ATCs from the family. 350x, 250r, 200x, 185s and atc70. Such good times on those old Hondas. Thank you for posting these videos. You have no idea how much they make me happy to live vicariously through!
Hey, thank you so much. Feedback like yours is so fun to hear. I always enjoy the stories from other riders and of course, I love all the machines you just mentioned.
I moved about a year ago, so I haven’t had time to edit much footage, but I’ll get some more videos going soon.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine yesss. More videos when you can!! Long live the ATC250R!!!
@@darrellfolk5284 You got it. Episode 3 is currently being edited.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine Oh, HECK YEAH!!!!

Hey Aaron! Thanks for watching. Yeah, I have a lot more material to make videos. I’ve been building a house for the last year so haven’t had time to edit, but I will soon. And yes, Tanner is still rippin’ dunes and MX tracks, so you’ll see more of him. Hope you still ride Big Reds- great machines.
Great video, thanks for showing us this great adventure…never been to Glamis but planning it
Oh man, you’ll love it out there. Make sure you bring enough fuel!
Great times with the buddies....Too Cool...enjoy your films....Long live Honda ATC's....next time your passing through Queen Creek hit me up....Have to show you my collection....Long Live Honda ATC's
So glad to hear that you've liked my videos. Long live the Honda ATC! And yesss, I'll gladly accept your offer to rendezvous in Queen Creek sometime. With family and friends all over AZ, I know I'll be back soon. You can reach me at 250Rmagazine.com
This was one of the best trips ever... A little of everything and almost all of it on video. You're the man!
Ladies and gentleman, the above comment was written by the great "Jake", who you are witnessing in almost all my videos.
Great stuff, man! My family used to go to buttercup every Easter for about six years, from the time I was 8 until I was 14. I started on an ATC 110 and in 1985 (I was 10) my mom bought a brand new Honda 200s. Nothing fancy at all but we got to experience the sand dunes at least! Great times and great memories! Thanks for the cool video!
Hell yeah bro! I love stories like that. I started on an ATC 110, graduated to the 185s and eventually got a 200x. My favorite memories were riding with friends and family in Southern Arizona. We'd bring the 110 and 185, a few guns to shoot, and chicken to BBQ, and we'd stay out all day. Thanks for watching!
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine where did y’all ride at? I’ve got a 250r
@@davidb1089 Where did we ride in Arizona? The two places I liked most were Sonoita Canyon by the Mexican border and Sycamore Canyon.
Sonoita was an all day affair. If it was just me and my dad, we’d hit Burger King for some 99cent whoppers and cruise over towards Sycamore.
When I was a kid my dad had a 86 250R and the seat was the Arizona state flag. Man that thing was nice
I love hearing stories like that. I’ll bet it was a great bike. I have a friend who worked at a Honda dealership and he said the first thing guys would customize is the seat. Second the six pack rack. Third the exhaust.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine Yea you gotta have the six pack rack lol. We would strap our coolers to them with some drinks and sandwiches, drop in the river bottom right behind our house and ride all day. My 200x couldn't keep up with my dad's 250 lol but they are still some of my favorite memories from my childhood
@@adamhawkins243 I love these stories. I’m from Tucson. We used to ride in the Rillito River and play in the water.
Bro amazing video… just got my aunts old 82’ 250R I’ll be out there in January Glamis baby!
I freakin’ love the 82’ 250R!!!! It’s such a great bike!!! Thanks for watching McFlyy, I’ll see you in the dunes sometime!!!
I also grew up in the era of the Tecate, tri z, and 250r.When the first quad racer came out then followed by the fourtrax 250r.Used to wait for 3&4 wheel action magazine every month.
Hell yeahhhhhhh Woodie! I loved reading 3 & 4 Wheel Action. I’d always search the grocery store for those magazines. My friend Ryan (from this video) had all the old copies of 3 Wheeling, which were another favorite.
I wanted a Honda fourtrax 250r so bad 86-89. I had parents and uncles try and co-sign for me but it never happened. It wasn’t until late 90’s that I bought a used 87 250r and built it from there.Just what I thought it would be. An awesome quad. Did everything great from desert to dunes. Mostly dumont and armagosa dunes.
@@Elisplushies360woodierc Yeah man, I think they were the most versatile quad built until the Raptor. I’ll bet that ‘87 was a ripper alright. Mine is an ‘88 and I’m so impressed with it. I keep hoping that maybe someday Honda return to the sport quads and make a new R. Time will tell.
I’ve had some time on a friends raptor and they are nice and have owned a highly modded banshee that was a dune killer. I have never ridden the new 450 quads though but have ridden a friends Honda crf450r. Things a beast.
And also grew up on 250rs and 350x 3 wheelers but started mx in late 90s.
Sweet. Such fun bikes.
Was hoping for some dune jumps...
Fair. I had a lot more of that but it got cut when I pared-down the riding montage. I’ll put some more action riding and trike highlights in the next episode. Thanks for watching!
Love the content, hope to meet you out there next season for an R roundup of some sort!
Cool man. Glad you are enjoying it. And yeah, I’ll look forward to ripping some big walls with ya one of these days. Thanks for watching!
Can't wait to go back!
Good times!
I am from oceanside California and grew up going to Ocotillo wells and glamis. Now I live in Denver Colorado.
Hell yeah. You still do any riding?
#savesportquads
#makeatcsgreatagain
Hell yes, make ATC's great again.
great video AGAIN! You guys coming out this year? 2 weeks - tick tock!
Oh man, I wish I could go! The good news is that I just moved from Denver back to Arizona and I should be able to start going to the dunes with some frequency again.
Is Bordmansville Bar still there with all the 1 dollar bills as wall paper??
Willie Ray!
👍🏻
Thx for watching!
Sell me the 250r fourtrax
I can’t decide if I’m going to sell it or keep it a while.
