Thanks for an awesome video! This brought back so many memories! I grew up riding the ATC 110, the 200 S and later the 200 X but the 200 X is closest to my heart! I have ridden thousands of miles on one and I loved every one of them up until my last! In 2000 I was riding my 1985 200 X and I passed out from dehydration, hit a tree, broke my neck, pinched my spinal cord and became a quadriplegic. And I get so angry when people say "those 3-wheelers are so dangerous!" I always defend the ATC! I always tell them "I would get back on it right now if I could" and that is absolutely the truth! They are beautifully balanced, great running, great handling, reliable machines! And the more you ride them the more fun they are! Thanks again!

Such cool bikes! I had an 83 and 84 200x I rode the hell outta! Awesome playbikes, but the suspension always made you feel like you were beating em up when the pace picked up. Later had a 86 250r. Loved those atcs. Buddy had a 86 200x, they were a huge leap over the previous gens. They finally got the kickstarter figured out so you didnt have to drop a boot in the water if it stalled. Between the 83 & 84 200x's and 86 250r I had a 85, 87 and 89 CR 250's. Ill always consider the 80s the golden age for Honda. 👍👍
It’s true, in 1984, this belonged to a kid I knew overseas and I would sneak out of the house and meet him at the local field to ride it. I SO wanted to have one, but at least I got to ride it.
Whats more fun about them? Seems like the only thing they do differently is flip over. Two in the front, one in the back is the right way to do 3 wheels.
I remember when my father bought my brother and I new Yamaha 225dx's. I got yellow and he got blue. We rode the hell out of those things. They were pretty much indestructible. Unfortunately in 1984 he got in a bad wreck and lost his knee. I kept riding mine into the early 90s then sold it. Man the 80s were great!
For someone who is 18 years old, I am happy to be one of the few youngins to have ridden a 3-wheeler. My father purchased his childhood favorite 250SX a few years ago and I must say, it's is the Most fun of any off road vehicle I have ever driven.
i remember dreaming and salivating over this awesome machine as a kid...id fall asleep with magazines describing the 200x and how fun it was,,,,sadly we could never afford one...but i remember it like it was yesterday!!!
When I went to the Honda dealer in 86 I was going to get the 200 X 3 wheeler but left with the 200 sx trx. Put supertrapp pipe and Barnet clutch it ran great.

Bought a '85 200X new in December '84. Rode that thing everywhere. Have no idea how many miles I put on it. I still have it, been sitting in my garage for a few years, but now I'm getting ready to bring it back to life. It still runs but needs all bearings and brakes. Already have new plastic from several years ago as well as new Renthal bars. Also new ASV levers on both sides and All balls clutch cable.
DG exhaust pipes are the wrose pipes to put onto any ATC OR ATV. They make less H.P. then any other pipe you can buy. This is Dyno proven. Iv tested 16 different pipes & iv rejet to pipe companys recommend & some pipe brands recommended air box lid off plus with the air filters the pipe company recommended & still they only made 1.2 HP over stock. With K&N with airbox lid off it made 2.7 more HP over stock and yes this was with full exhaust & iv done dyno test with just tge slip on exhaust. Iv only seen more noticeable power when I ported the head & put stage 3 cam, aftermarket valves then I got the power up too 7.7 HP over stock. Just for fun I put big bore with custom exhaust with the aftermarket items iv listed above & it finally pumped out 10.3 HP over stock. But the money spent & time wasn't worth it in my opinion but the customer wanted it so we did it. It become a true wheeley king after the added HP walking wheelys was even easier. The 350-X we did the same way pumped out 17.1 more HP over stock & the 250-R pumped out 22.6 HP more over stock. It was truly fun building these 3 bikes & adding the extra power. For example one night we was on the dyno so long it was 2 am before we realized it. 😂🤣😅
I had the 200X had great fun on it. I remember my brother who loved motorcycles thinking my little 3 wheeler wouldn't climb hills. Well a few times I climbed over him on that 3 wheeler. Pitty 60 minutes did a hit piece on them.
My great grandma had 2 atc200 Es that my dad used to ride when he was young, they still ran when I was around 5 or 6. Great machines and im not even a 90s kid, some of my greatest memories are from riding these things.
Great video! I watched it twice in a row. I've never owned any three wheeler but I'd love a 200X now. I live in the desert SW and it would be a blast in the sand. I do have to commend you on the line towards the end about being a culture unwilling to accept personal responsibility killing the 3 wheel ATV. Unfortunately, that can be said for a lot of things. But hey, 4 wheels are fun too. Now to go scour craigslist!
I loved my 200x. I stuffed a xr500 motor in it and that was a mistake. moved onto a 85 250r and regret selling it everyday since. great memories thanks for this flick
We love you taking the time to watch and comment. From what we understand the 86 Tri Z is a pretty good machine. If memory serves correctly that is after they switched to the six-speed transmission which improve the engine performance. We'd like to have one sitting in our garage.
ATVonDemand well i have had my 86 tri-z for over 20 years now and it’s never let me down but i don’t know much about them only that there lots of fun to ride unlike anything else
I got a used 86 200X as a gift when I was ten years old in 1989. First atv I ever owned. I was in heaven! I traded it for a YZ 80 three years later. Dumbest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve regretted it ever since! These were bulletproof bikes, and fun too. I wish I could go back and ride it one more time!
Great video! I had a 1985 ATC 200X that I restored and rode form 1997 to 2000. Only minor things missed: PROS & CONS vs Quads - PROS: MUCH lighter steering and ability to make tight turns at LOW speeds. Super fun and best at lows speeds. CONS: You MUST learn that if you leg goes down to prevent a tip over - you must kick wide past the rear wheel to avoid running over you leg. Hitting a stone with just one rear wheel can over turn the rider or shock you to your senses - but the tilt used properly makes up for crappy straight 'live' rear axles. When you pass a tree, etc you MUST remember the rear is wider than the front! Hill climbs - The front is SO LIGHT it is hard to keep it down and from flipping over backwards - I welded a bash plate that doubled as a Wheelie bar and it saved me a few times. FINAL CON: Stock suspension was STIFF and left much to be desired. FINAL PRO: mystique - a "dangerous / outlawed" three-wheeler!
Not necessarily, I had a Z50, XR 80, RM 80 ATC 90, 110 and a 200X, not to mention SL 125, Xl 250 CR80, Honda Expess. Yamaha Chappy, and an It 200. I'm transgender too.

If I get stuck I can very easily pull it out of the mud try doing that with your rancher :)

I used to have a LOT of fun riding around on a 185S! LOVED IT!!! Used to trail ride with guys that had 250rs and 200xs (and a couple of Yammies and Kawwies). Made 'em crazy cuz there wasn't enough room for them to really utilize the horsepower they had on me so they couldn't outrun me until we found some open ground. I wish now that I could find a good 350x (my brother had one). That was a REALLY sweet machine. Loved shootin' the dunes on that thing!
We believe it. They are pretty tricky to ride and will let you know pretty quickly when you make a mistake. However, they are a lot of fun and a valuable part of ATV history.

Balloon tyres are designed for sand riding.
The chassis was designed to work against forces generated from level surfaces. Not hills.
That is some of the WORST riding I've ever seen.

We would agree with you. The eighties were Honda's best decade.
Thank you guys I love the video ! Nothing more fun then a 200x
Simple, affordable, and fun. That's magic blend is what's missing from modern sport ATVs.
It’s true, in 1984, this belonged to a kid I knew overseas and I would sneak out of the house and meet him at the local field to ride it. I SO wanted to have one, but at least I got to ride it.
Great memory. We would have loved to have ridden one back in the day.
it took me back to when I was a kid and ripped them. to me more fun then a four wheeler anytime. keep up the quality videos
Hearing about people riding the old machines back in the day is the best part of doing these. Glad we could take you back.
Whats more fun about them? Seems like the only thing they do differently is flip over. Two in the front, one in the back is the right way to do 3 wheels.
I had the 1986 when it came out and it was an exceptional machine. So many hours of fun in my life. Cheers from NYC USA.
Thanks for sharing your story. We love hearing them pebid stay warm up there in New York.
Honda know how to make reliable engines that's for sure.
Miss my 85. Bought it new . Gave me so much freedom and fun. Used to hop on it after work and head to the woods.
Glad we could help take you back to those times.
thanks for doin this one guys!
Our pleasure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What are you doing here? 😆 love your vids
Not true the 200x could keep up and also beat it
I remember when my father bought my brother and I new Yamaha 225dx's. I got yellow and he got blue. We rode the hell out of those things. They were pretty much indestructible. Unfortunately in 1984 he got in a bad wreck and lost his knee. I kept riding mine into the early 90s then sold it. Man the 80s were great!
At one point i swore I was born on a 250R.
Never had any 2 3 or 4 wheeler fit so good.
Good video
For someone who is 18 years old, I am happy to be one of the few youngins to have ridden a 3-wheeler. My father purchased his childhood favorite 250SX a few years ago and I must say, it's is the Most fun of any off road vehicle I have ever driven.
24:30 dam straight, so well said.
Loved the video, took me back to when I was a kid. Grew up on a three wheeler, broke my first bone on a three wheeler. Still love them.
Very well made documentary, I just wish you made in on the worlds most loved 2 stroke, the banshee!! That would be a sweet video!!
We hope to make it happen.
i remember dreaming and salivating over this awesome machine as a kid...id fall asleep with magazines describing the 200x and how fun it was,,,,sadly we could never afford one...but i remember it like it was yesterday!!!
When I went to the Honda dealer in 86 I was going to get the 200 X 3 wheeler but left with the 200 sx trx. Put supertrapp pipe and Barnet clutch it ran great.
We haven't found a well built ATV that we haven't had fun on yet.
thanx for all of your hard work and time to bring us this great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I had a 70 with the 5spd and my Dad had the 200x 6spd we had fun when I was little
Fantastic works guy's. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
Bill, we're glad you enjoyed it and sincerely appreciate you taking the time to leave the positive feedback. Look for a Rust to Glory ATC200X Racer Project coming this fall.
After seeing this I'm missing my old 1987 ATC250R
They're still out there.
I grew up in the 80's and remember a lot of this stuff.
Great video! Brought back a TON of memories, makes me want to dust off my 350X!
Do it! If you need more inspiration, make sure to watch our ATC350X Classics test and MX Project build. Glad we could take you back. Thanks for watching.
U don’t have a 350x.
They should start selling 3 wheelers again, that would be pretty funny.
No one who owns a 350x would let it sit.
Not for very long anyway. Lol
I grew up on my dad's Big red I was just a little guy riding around on that thing RIP dad.
Thanks for sharing the memories of your dad with us. Hearing viewers stories from back in the day is the best part of doing these vintage test videos
The center of gravity on these three wheelers is upside down. A bike that wants to roll over.. Guess that’s what makes it fun 👏🏽
It's called body english
In the right hands these bikes are as safe as any other motorcycle, I had a 250x fourtrax it was a beautiful ride with reverse.
Great video very professional
Much thanks. Glad you liked it.
I had the 200X had great fun on it. I remember my brother who loved motorcycles thinking my little 3 wheeler wouldn't climb hills. Well a few times I climbed over him on that 3 wheeler. Pitty 60 minutes did a hit piece on them.
If I could turn back time.l would have never gotten rid of my 200 god I miss that ATC
You can still find good ones for under a grand. Its not too late to turn back time!

Truffle Shuffle I found one I have a blast riding it
My great grandma had 2 atc200 Es that my dad used to ride when he was young, they still ran when I was around 5 or 6. Great machines and im not even a 90s kid, some of my greatest memories are from riding these things.
The 350X is legendary. Well, so is the 250R. Awesome machines.
I broke more shit on my body on my 250 r. Lol then i git the quadzilla 500 n it was all up hill from there . But at 100 mph lol
Great Job on the production of this video. Thanks for putting it togeather. Much appreciated.
Can you please do a review on the Tri-Z? I used to have one and miss it a lot.
Loved my 125x honda, and my 300 Kawasaki as a kid!! great times!! many injuries but it comes with it!
Sorry to hear about the injuries. Love hearing about the good times.
We love quads! We just enjoy paying tribute to our roots. Good luck procuring your 200X. Keep us posted on what you get and how you like it.
Awesome video. Took me back to my childhood. Thank you
There’s just something about a three wheeler. 🏁
Mike Yerke so fun to ride and you feel like a rebel when you do it.
ATVonDemand You nailed it! 🏁
That's it I'm not selling my atc
They look stupid and flip over?
I loved my 200x. I stuffed a xr500 motor in it and that was a mistake. moved onto a 85 250r and regret selling it everyday since. great memories thanks for this flick
to much power for the small frame ?
Wow, that must have been a missile on smooth ground and a handful in the rough stuff. Thanks for watching and for sharing your 200X memories.
Almost done restoring my 1985 200x to mint condition.. it's expensive but worth it
We hope to see it when it's done. Keep us posted.

ATVonDemand Thanks
Florida*ARMY*VET nice man. I have an 85 200x also. I plan on restoring that and my 85 250r
I have an 81 185s no suspension I love that thing gets me every where I need to go and I can have a blast, starts up third pull every time too
The 185's is a very cool machine hits one that we would like to film at some point.
It's time to bring the ATC back again! Are you listening Honda?
I had an 85' 110 and am a grown ass man. I still had a lot of fun on the trails and surprising the people I was riding with. I miss that machine.
Are 86 tri-z’s any good ? Luv this by channel by the way 👍
We love you taking the time to watch and comment.
Sounds like you need to find one. We have a couple childhood era machines we would like to purchase.
I almost died on one of those things!! *A BUNCH OF TIMES* 😂😂
So did I. Those junkers are easy to flip.
@@av3169 just had to know how to ride em. I still miss my 200x. My first bike.
Nut Buster That’s bs, you have to know how to ride them. Never flipped my 200x
I did enjoy one when I was a teenager nothing but fun.
1111stunna1111 glad we could help you revisit your teenage years. Thanks for watching.
Hell fricken yeah! Well done as the rest in the series. I wish we didn't have to wait for these but the quality of the video was well worth the wait!
PUMPED on the positive feedback! sorry we made you wait. Look for a Rust to Glory ATC200X Racer Project coming this fall.
+ATVonDemand can't wait to see that
Back when we rode on 3 wheels and defined people by there proper genitals
Back before the inmates ran the asylum.
Not necessarily, I had a Z50, XR 80, RM 80 ATC 90, 110 and a 200X, not to mention SL 125, Xl 250 CR80, Honda Expess. Yamaha Chappy, and an It 200. I'm transgender too.

We're happy we could help you relive some fond memories fro your past. There are lots of them still out there on the used market. You could always pick one up.
this video is great, i always wanted the ATC350X but then the liberals outlawed three wheelers
mike cubes they're still out there in remarkably High numbers. We wouldn't blame you if you picked one up. Ride safe.
My dads friend found one for 800 that’s cheap
Liberals ruin everything they touch!

So cool, makes me want to find one. Grew up in Arizona riding dirt bikes, but lots of buddies had these.
3 wheelers are so cool!!!!!!!!"

A year or so back I bought a pocket bike for 75$... a few trades later and I am now the proud owner of a completely original 82 ATC 110. She's not the fastest machine out there but itll get me places I wouldn't dream of going on a bike or a 4 wheeler. If I get stuck I can very easily pull it out of the mud try doing that with your rancher :)
6:04 almost died I bet images of his parents went through his mind.

I am 54 and would love another!
only have one thing to say :
'85 tecate 250....
That's more than one word though. We are planning on filming a 1986 early summer.
I had an 85-86 Tecate that was scary fast.
@@@ATVonDemand one word and two number to be precise.
I got a 87 yes I said 87 white 250r I will race u any place anytime
Never seen one of those rolling in here in Europe... I did find some for sale a week ago and here I am watching this video to learn more... looks like a neat toy!
My mom and dad when they was dating they used to big reds together
Memories , memories....i rode a big red and the 250 r back in the day , its amazing how far atv's have gone since the 80's
My dad owned a 200x
Tpucky cool dude.
My dad broke 3 ribs on one of these beasts
We believe it. They are pretty tricky to ride and will let you know pretty quickly when you make a mistake. However, they are a lot of fun and a valuable part of ATV history.
