ATC 250R Legend Tanner Pies Bio

- Опубліковано 30 жов 2020
- You've seen the pictures of him hitting the world-famous Sky Shot at the Unadilla MX track in New York on his 250R.... You've seen him shredding in the dunes over Thanksgiving weekend on his Fourtrax... You might have bumped into him in camp and borrowed a socket or shared a beer around the fire.
I think we can all relate to a guy who works for a living, turns his own wrenches and is just trying to make his way through this world.
Please join me in celebrating an underground rider from the 3-wheeling community, as he shares his thoughts about a sport he loves so much, that he once told me "Sometimes I feel like a was born 40 years after I was supposed to be".
So sit back, relax and enjoy the story of Tanner Pies! - Авто та транспорт
Thanks I enjoyed this.
Thanks for watching. I’ll get some more videos out this year.
Can I just say how awesome it is that a few of my amateur photos made it into this. Met him when he came to Unadilla, such a great kid!
A-W-E-S-O-M-E-N-E-S-S Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching.
the words u are looking for is BORN TO RIDE!
You said it man!
I'm an old guy still riding a 200s every weekend. So cool that Tanner has roots with the 185s. Long live hardtails!
Nice! I love the 200s. I know that Tanner still rides the hard tails in the dunes and a few of my other friends do designated hard tail rides all over Glamis. So much fun.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine Great video, btw!
@@phxfunfly9083 Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video and I’m glad to hear you still ride!
Bring back the 3 wheelers industry 💪🏻 I remember seeing first ATC250R in the dunes in 1986 or 87. It was marvelous.
Hell yes dude. I remember the first time I saw a 250R. It was amazing. Dude saw me checking out his bike, pulls a wheelie off of parked, and then rides up the street. I was hooked.
Theres some guys BVC trikes i think, they have youtube, and website who are building trike conversions for most of the new 450 bikes, honda, ktm and ect..they build some nice bikes that look factory.there sick you should check them out..
Its dope because I think you can see the dude taking the picture if that was the moment
Really? Sweet. I'll have to go back and look.
Really can appreciate all your hard work putting this together and dam ya can’t help but like this dude after watching this. T-PIE TANNER PIES
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and then write a comment! This video was a mountain of effort but I’m really happy with the story that got told. I would not have made this video about a rider who didn’t deserve it.
I live in Scotland but i used to ride Glamis, Buttercup and also Pismo! I miss the dunes its been nearly 30 years but i just recently sold my '84 Atc 250r and i still got it in me! Once the trike life is in your blood it will always be there! Need to get back one day but im just a truck driver nowadays and its all a bit outta my reach I'm afraid! Long live the dunes man!🤗🏴🇺🇸
So cool to hear from a fellow old-school rider! Brad, who you saw in the video, had an ‘84 250R and he’s spoken very highly of that bike. He told me it’s one of his favorite machines ever made. Trike life forever!
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine tough old machines! Hell yeah man!🤟
I had to pee before the video... and damn if I didn’t watch the entire thing... and holy hell.... hang on.. I’ll be right back...
....
....
Ok... I’m back!
Outstanding video editing and riding footage. Absolute madd skillZ! Like Tanner said, Glamis is my second home. I too love riding my quad at Glamis (87 Banshee, with “J” arms!! I learned to keep the front end lite, soon became one with my ride.. man...... I really appreciate all the excellent footage at Glamis.... y’all kick ass!!
Ride safe 🤙🏽
Peace.

Darin! I'm so glad you had chance to watch this video. It's funny man, all the elite riders who watched this video, have all mentioned to me, how they were "one with the machine". B/C that's the trick.
Dude, thanks taking the time to watch a few of these videos and I really appreciate you throwing down a comment.
You knocked it out! Can’t wait to see the additional videos you’re working on. Which I know based on our conversations will be great.
Tanner- can’t wait to ride with you at Glamis or wherever again!
Glad you liked it. We'll have to get together again for another video sometime soon. And you need to make a video about your Generation 3 Fourtrax 250R!
That man has skills.
And honestly, my videography does not do him justice, so this video is just a sample of what he can do.
Retro you put together an amazing video on him!!! Would love to see more of Tanner on film
@@travisstark9527 Dude! Thank you so much. It’s fantastic to hear that some folks really enjoyed it. Yeah, Tanner and I will definitely collaborate again in the near future. I’ve got a lot more videos coming out!
Awesome Review Tanner🤩🤘Keep it Sideways!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video. See you in Glamis!
I was 10 n atc250r 86 n have 86trx 250R know 40 yrs old
Yeahhhhhh buddy. I think I’ll be riding my 86 250R till I’m pushing up daisies.
I had a yz 490 when I was 14. 250r at 10 is impressive
Any person who can man handle a 250R trike like that has my respect as a man
Exactly dude. Thx for watching.
Great video and story!
Thanks much for watching. I would have responded sooner but I've been riding in the dunes with Tanner for the last week. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I love night ridding its crazy I've never had a lite lol
Tanner and I just went on several night rides last weekend. We went North into Glamis out by the lookout. It was super fun.. Thanks for watching!
Check out my tri z. Before I jacked up my back I’d absolutely do the sky jump on my tri z.
Cool tri-z and cool Camaro. I’ve ridden a tri-z once and I was really impressed. I’m surprised more guys who like to ride hard don’t run the tri-z. Maybe parts are just too hard to find.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine thank you! Mine is a little quicker than the average tri z. I have a yz250 top end on it runs pretty hard! Parts are actually getting easier to find now compared to 10-20 years ago.
How doesn't this channel have more subs? Shit I think I finally caught one before it blows up
Thanks bro. Appreciate you watching. More videos to come!
I have a 85 atc and 86 atv thay are my true love
Same. I've got (2) '86 ATC 250R's and (1) '88 TRX and I just love these bikes. So much fun.
You're the sky jump at Unadilla it's pretty scary on a dirt bike and I can imagine what it is like on three wheels 😃👍✌
I'd love to see more
Then you'll be glad to know that I've got more coming your way. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
at 48 seconds when you see his name introduction and photo at Pine Lake TT, the #88 bike(on his left with small back wheels) is my buddies atc250r....It's the sickest cleanest ATC I've ever seen by far!
Damn man, now that I’m looking at it- that is a sweeeeeet bike. Thanks for pointing it out!
I love the video man
Dude! I'm so glad to hear it. I've been in the dunes with Tanner for the last week, otherwise I would have said "thank you" sooner. I appreciate the feedback.
Insane
He can ride alright. .. And he's a little different... Enjoy!!!!!!
did this guy ever ride with dave voelker of lakeside?
Loved my 350x would like a hot summer on a 250r. Probably fall in love all over again!
Heck yeah man! The 350X is the one I’ve never had. In fact, I rode Jake’s last summer and that was my first time even riding one. All Honda ATC’s are awesome but if I could only have one bike for the rest of my life, it’s a 250R. Thanks for watching!
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine I had to Subscribe now lol! The 350x was 4 stroke thumper. Price of a good used one has gone up. 250R Still a supper model wet dream! I will have to look through your vids to see if you have some. Maybe some of the Tecate from Kowalski ? The Widow Maker! Love to see one of them.
@@damiantruttling9785 Dude, I should def do a video on the ‘87 Tecate. That would be cool. Jake just rebuilt his 350X and we shot enough photos and videos to do a video on his rebuild. So, that’ll get edited together sometime soon. But a good Tecate video? I can’t believe I’ve never thought of that. You gave me a great idea. Thanks again for watching!
Damn, I would of loved to ride with this young man.. I was one with any machine also, and aggressive..
I'm sure he'd be happy to ride with you. If you guys are cut from the same cloth, you oughta reach out to him on Instagram.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine I'm 51 now, but in my day we were cut from the same cloth.. The sad thing is no video, or pictures..
@@chuckhixson2725 Man, I know your pain. I have less than 10 photos from the first 20 years of riding. And for you guys who are/were riding on that higher level, god, it must be that much more frustrating to not have a few more keepsakes.
@@RetroRiders_250R_Magazine exactly, I perfected most of my skills alone, I didn't care about an audience, it was to push myself.. Plus all of my friends would get hurt trying what I did.
@@chuckhixson2725 Dude that’s as awesome as it is old school. That’s also 100% Tanner style right there.
Badass video. What's the song name at 38:32 ?
Is this Honda Hoarders brah?
Nah, it’s just me.
Awesome!! Surprised he doesn't wear gloves tho 😅 I rather wear gloves than a helmet almost. And you don't use blue flags over in the US? Im sure he was lapping people 😁
Well Done!
Thanks so much. I hope everyone enjoys it, now and in the future.
if you want to capture the poor side of vintage riders hmu im in CA
Sounds good. I’m trying to move back to AZ, and then I can start doing more riding in CA
The man wears no gloves?? One tough guy!!!
So, I asked him about that not wearing gloves. Tanner has big hands and he told me he has a hard time finding gloves that fit. I’ve spent a lot of time in boxing gyms and Tanner has hands like Muhammad Ali and some of the other heavyweights. Big ol’ bear mitts.
At 43:47 I thought he was jumping the 185 like 45 feet high😂
Damn dude, I can see how it could look that way. Ha!
