Loved this! For those of us who are very fair with neutral/warm undertones, Merit is a godsend. Love their lipstick! I think their pinker shades would also look fab on you - baby, maybe fashion, also their limited edition apertif (which I guess is no longer available).
Thank you! You are the first reviewer I have watched who actually used the Instant Glow Serum. All the others say, "I don't need that" and then complain about how the makeup works/stays on, etc. I found this company last Summer and have used the entire line - I LOVE it! I am 66 years old with normal skin, a little oily in the T-zone, like you I just finish with a little powder in that area. Does it cover every imperfection? - No, but again it says it is light to medium coverage so stop complaining when it doesn't cover every pore, mole, sunspot, etc. Go find a full coverage makeup if that's what you're looking for. I find my skin looks and feels good, it doesn't feel or look dry and cakey. My favorite product is the blush, I have three colors, Terra Cotta, Fox and Cheeky and enjoy each one especially over the bronzer for a little contour. I especially love that this goes into a smaller makeup bag & is easy to take for travel, (except for the Glow Serum, wish that came in a travel size). Great review!
I’ve been a lip balm diehard for ages and I LOVE their lip oil. It looks more like a subtle colored gloss on the lips but it feels like a balm-not at all sticky or heavy. It’s the perfect your lips but better product.
In terms of other videos would love to see an updated kit video, particularly if there has been any changes since the last video - thank you for the review that was very useful!
Tried it. It's "meh." Absolutely not worth thr price and had zero wear even on a relaxed cool day. Foundation stick: chalky Lip oil: oddly drying. Lipstick: Wet n Wild in a better container Mascara: Little impact and flaked. I had $205 in the starter set have requested a refund.
Another great video! I'm so glad you're back on UA-cam :) could you please do a makeup tutorial sometime for the genuinely no-makeup look that some of us want (the kind you do on clients for skincare brands etc., where they really do need to look like they're totally barefaced)? So far the "natural" looks I find are always still a little bit noticeable!
I’ve just discovered Merit foundation/concealer, blush, bronzer and eyeshadow 62 years old and I used to feel confident leaving the house without makeup but I find now I have to wear SOME makeup lest I look tired or sick. But less is more and I am loving what I’ve used thusfar. Happy to hear you like the mascara. I’ll give that a try. Does the lipstick last? My beef with most lipsticks is the lack of staying power. Thank you!
I love Merit, the packaging is gorgeous and I love how natural the finish is. My fave product is rhe Signature Lip in Baby & the flush blush balm in Stockholm ❤ want to try the foundation stick and mascara next!
Really enjoyed your review. I have several items from their collection and have had a love/hate relationship with some of the products. But I want to love this brand so I'm persevering. I've just ordered the face serum which I agree works so well with the foundation stick. I agree that the mascara is a stand out product - I'm on my 3rd one! The blusher is beautiful - I have the shade Fox. The bronzer is easy to use but I'm not sure it will replace my Vieve products. The effect of the highlight is amazing but the smell is off putting. I've not yet tried the lipstick out lip oil - that's next on my list!! Like you I do powder it down a little so I still have glow in some places but not in others. There is definitely something special about this brand and I've just placed another order. The other thing that is brilliant about this company is the customer service team. They are really helpful which is a must when you're in another country!
I'm new to Merit and kind of confused about the bronzer. It looks to me like you put the bronzer on your cheeks but then put the blush right on top of it. So, what's the purpose of the bronzer if you are putting it where the blush will end up? Sorry, I'm just kind of ignorant about makeup, lol.
No, you are not alone! I do not contour and have always used bronzer on my cheeks and eyes! I never use blush. I also feel like I "don't get it" but then again, we can use make up however we like!
it's all preference really, I have paper skin with no rosiness so blush it's forever a must. Bronzer just adds a bit of depth and warmth while blush makes you look alive lol

Beautiful review! As a fair gal, I really appreciate your reviews and selection of Merit!
I am loving the holiday Gloss Set!
I absolutely love how that looks on you and 100% my kinda makeup… gorgeous ❤️
Thank you for this review! They are having a sale now, so I am tempted. What shade of bronzer did you use?
Hi Harriet, great videos! Would love to see a review of the Fara Homidi lip compacts and lip pencils. Thank you for considering :) x
I am so interested in Merit. I live in a humid area so I'm worried about it melting/sweating off. How would you ensure it stays on throughout the day?
How would you compare their foundation / concealer stick with Westman Atelier?
Would be interested in this as well!
I would say that has more coverage and not as dewy as the merit one
@@HarryMakesItUp thank you!

It looks absolutely lovely ❤
How does the Great Skin compare to Glossier Superdew? Does the glow last?
Tried it. It's "meh." Absolutely not worth thr price and had zero wear even on a relaxed cool day.

Yes would love to!

It's so good!
That eyeshadow shade looks amazing on you, you've sold me!
There’s a lipliner in their holiday kit I’m so curious about!!
Hannah Louise Poston posted a video yesterday demoing it :)
It is stunning! For me, it’s like my lips but better. And the limited edition eyeshadow in the gloss set is also very nice
😮
Loved watching your review! Merit has been one of my favorite brands recently. It’s so easy and always looks good for everyday 💕
It really is!

I love Merit but there is very little foundation in that tube for the price. But the other products are the best.
I would use that bronzing balm as an eye shadow...do you think it would have enough staying-power on the eyelid?
I find it moves as it’s very emollient and if it gets in my eye it stings

Yay! Have literally been waiting for this since the brand came out a few years ago. Always wonderful to hear your thoughts Harry! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks so much!
