To be fair to Grimla and her minions on the Dragon Isles, they've avoided looting and despoiling the natural resources. They're just looting the relics that adventurers would have looted anyways. As a goblin, she's practically a saint.
"..And in the next expansion, Dragonflight...". Platinum has deleted Shadowlands from his memory, its now officially non-canon and nothing more than a bad dream I´d say. It´s like the 2nd and 11th Legion in 40k.
Ofc it’s non-cannon otherwise every time when a character dies or when we think of any character who died already we gonna ask “WHY DIDNT THEY GO TO SHADOWLANDS” Lmao
@silversflow4469 i mean, everyone that died/dies DOES go to the shadowlands just bear in mind the zones/afterlives we saw in the expansion was just a infinitely small fraction of the total afterlives contained in the shadowlands hence we only saw SOME major characters
Tbh, it would be kinda hilarious if they were present in shadowlands In one room, you got Jailor with his mAsTeRpLaN, monologing about how's he most special boy ever, meantime, 2 rooms down you got some Venture Co shmucks attempting to scam people by trying to sell them bricks, spikes and other stuff they just "borrowed" from Jailor's place
@silversflow4469 ooh thats a good one, i could make the point that at the time of his death he was posessed by sargeras so there'd definitly be the chance for some twisting nether shenanigans as the reason why he came back, still thats a good example of the rare exceptions, and there probably isnt a second example :P and before you say "sylvanas?" it was established that being killed by frostmourne sends atleast a portion of your soul into the afterlife, it was directly shown with uther and indirectly shown with sylvanas because the jailer had the other part of her soul, i would also argue that that logic probably extends to all undead which would also explain that most undead experience some changes in their personality compared to their living selfs, because they are only PARTIALLY themselfs, about half still remains in the afterlife
Seeing them around zones and expansions really just make me go "of course they are here too, why wouldnt they be! *unsheathes sword with murderous intent* "
7:41 that's my biggest gripe with the Exploring Azeroth books tho, it's the same for most threats. So many zones described can be summed up as "it's exactly the same as before questing, every enemy is still there, congrats" which makes me wonder wtf did we do all those quests for if it did nothing in the end?
To be fair, in most of the zones we go to, we don't commit to genocide, mass murder, and terrorism like a few factions do. We usually go in, "Kill" the big baddie, and leave. Hell, to this day, we STILL haven't fully dealt with the scourge's presence in the Blood Elf starting zone and Quel'thalas. Unless someone, probably us, COMMITS to slaughtering every single enemy in a specific zone and makes it known they are doing so, these enemies, just like the Venture Co., will come back and continue to be there.

I love goblins as a race. I wish they would add more faces and customization options for them (especially the males) cause they've always gotten the short end of the stick despite having A+ aesthetic, lore and personality.
Curious they didn't announce that for the Undermine patch, yet. I hope they pull a fast one on us and give playable Goblins shit ton of customization this coming patch. Like just double the amount of faces, hairstyles, colors, bears, everything.

Venture Co should be the 3rd faction Be water down version of Horde and Alliance races and a bunch of random other races. Their main ability is being ability to accept quest from anyone but gain massive penalties to rep gains.
This is actually kind of interesting as an idea. Horde and Alliance have their standards, expectations and races but Venture Company doesn't discriminate. Makes for a good "common enemy" and could be fun to see how that works out. Pure, amoral industry.
Whenever Blizzard needs a bunch of mobs in a zone but doesn't have the time to write an elaborate story where they're there, its always cultists or venture co.
I must say, the amount of Venture in the Game is noticable, the organisation capabilites of that company is pretty astonishing. As a person that really does not like the faction system, the neutral ones are so more appealing, like in this video, the venture company.
It's confusing to me that Francis Ford Coppola took the time to put a character named "Wow Platinum" in his masterpiece "Megalopolis" yet didn't reference any Warcraft lore in the entire 138 minute runtime...
I... vaguely remember, in the Cataclysm Azshara zone in Kalimdor, you can summon some goblin "para-medics" (parachuting medics), and one of their voicelines asks about insurance, so... probably.

There's also some shady stuff from one of the Island Expedition quests you get as a reward. Where one gnome who works for the Venture Co has some connections to a guy named Big G... which could be Gallywix, I wouldn't put it past him if he bought the Venture Co. after we killed Mogul Razdunk. How'd he do it? He probably bought up a bunch of stocks between BFA to TWW, so with Razdunk gone Gallywix owned most of the company's shares and now he owns them. Which would explain why they have such a high presence in TWW and how it ties in with the Undermine content.
I could be wrong, but up in the mountains of Feralas, isn't the spa and hot springs resort there owned by the Venture co? Also weren't they in old (and new) shimmering flats in Thousand Needles? I could also be wrong, but weren't they the goblins we had to help in Un'goro crater? I think they also had a presence helping the dark irons in both Searing Gorge and Burning steppes, while also being in several digging sites across Badlands and Loch Modan.
Feathers? Isnt that the mechanical bird that is tied to the quest of the goblin and gnome couple in "Before The Storm" book? It was to let fans know that the couple survived they ordeal with Gallywix.

I've always wondered (without actually looking up) what was the original name of the Venture co. Because in French they are translated to Kapital Risk which sounds like a cartoonishly villainous capitalist group and I love it :D
Ok, didn't know that there actually were Venture Co working for the Iron Horde, which leaves room for theories! There might be leftover Venture Co Goblins that stayed behind on Draenor to profit off the rebuilding, which, if so, are likely "conscripted" to join the Lightbound that rules the planet in the alternate timeline.
