I was born in 84, so when I was like 10 years old or so in the mid 90's, these were the cars I idolized as a kid lol. Pulsar GTI-R, E30 BMW, and the top of my fantasies was the Sapphire Cosworth! Later in life I was lucky enough to own a 325i sport E30 and a Subaru wrx that I spent thousands on tuning up....but I never owned a cossie! IMO they don't make cars like those anymore. They have no character now.

Very True, In the mid to late 90's I bought a trade in Sierra Sapphire Cosworth for £2200 the insurance was £900 ,It was on its last legs it needed a complete engine rebuild but it was cool, got 5 weeks out of it and engine stopped cranking, sold to my mate for £2500, my brief ownership was the best car I ever owned.

@michaeledwards427 I was born in 93 and used to see them around as a kid. I was absolutely fascinated with them. I'm the proud owner of a 2001 Subaru Impreza wrx and it's got that rustic, simple feel cars nowadays just don't have but yet a complete pleasure to drive. Colin mcrae and Richard burns were my idols, it was so fun growing up in the 90s and early 2000s.

@@TIGCHOP99 You mentioning impreza's and Burns and Mcrae I've lived in/around Banbury where Prodrive are based practically all my life. I remember when they were looking after some BMW M3's years ago at their original site (now part of a retail park) and I got a very brief look inside the workshop, it was absolutely spotlessly clean. I also regularly go past thier new site, way bigger than the old one. They've basically gone from a small industrial unit to something the size of a distribution depot.

@theculturedthug6609 That's why I like Subaru's. Ridiculously expensive to insure and tax but you don't see them anymore. You only see proper car enthusiasts with them now in my opinion. I was personally involved in this case. As I was arrested for this. A sawn off was found in the drain outside my flat, I was quite a heavy villain back then, I was awoken with a handfull of assault rifles pointing in my direction a couple of days after the robbery. I was 19, the interrogation I was given was levels above anything I've ever heard of. About 12 different ppl at different times. They thought and prob still think I was involved. I was under serious observation for a long time after this. Even when on holiday in Spain they moved next door to me. I don't think it's ever been solved.

And my 1992 Cavalier GSI 2000 was .... Well she was 120mph in 3rd gear sort of love. Callimg all car manafacturers! If you watch the newer Crimewatch episodes the quality is awful, The acting 🎭 was spot on and they most of the times used the same cars that were involved in the raids and murders, 1996 onwards you start to see the cracks.police was dumping any crime they couldn’t solve which was local shop robberies or drunks at a pub, viewing figures dropped which is what happens when you mess with stuff and drop budget

Ahh the good old days .. I pinched loads of these as a kid back then .. so bloody easy . Small scaff bar and straight screw driver for the old Tx locks upto 1985 C reg then the improved Chubb lock came in from about 1987 D/E reg 1988 .. they were a bit harder to take as the steering column was made to collapse when scaffold bar was used to break the locks .. I’m aged 53 now and I still feel like stealing one from the Ford classic meetings 😂😂 now u need a laptop these days to pinch a car yuk yuk 😂😂
