He's bang on about prices lol... I have one of the last made on a G plate. A white Sapphire RS Cosworth 4x4, black leather interior... I've had it since 1993 when I paid £5700 for a 22000 mile model. It was a treat to myself when I received a promotion in the RAF. I've spent a lot of years living overseas since then so the car has spent much time in storage... I just couldn't bring myself to sell it. I'm 50 now, semi retired and have a bit of a car collection going in the double digits. The Cossie had a bit of a restoration 3 years ago but has never needed any major body work as I had the paint protected and it ziebarted from the moment I bought it so she's near enough mint. It's on 52000 miles and with a few basic mods is knocking out about 260-70 bhp. Drives just as well as it did the day I bought it and STILL turns heads when I take it out regularly during the summer months. Recently a guy approached me whilst I was out in it and told me he'd wanted one for ages and was prepared to pay me 40k if I'd sell it to him. I declined but they really do sell for silly money these days. I just wish I still had my first ever car, a 9 year old V reg Escort MK 2 RS Harrier in white... sigh :/

Like I said, I loved the car when it went, but I guess i was chasing 15 years of botched problems.
And 30years on the rs cosworths are sort after gold mines, selling at over £50.000!!
The magenta cossie for sale at the end of the video is the only one still alive. It’s taxed and MOT’d still 🙂
My old car. Had it after this top gear episode, but never knew until today.
@@Andrew.Prentice looks like it was a really sorted car from the video. Am sure you enjoyed it!
Quetin losing his hair at 35 looks much older
Nabeel G fuck me not just the hairline but just the style and way he looks. Im 34 and i feel amazing about myself right now compared to that!!
My dream car as a teenager, far too expensive to get one now , nevermind it will just remain a dream unless I ever come into serious money 😥😥
The magenta one is still on the road or MOT'd at least..worth a bit more than £10,000 now! 🤑
Loved that colour!!
