Even stock it could easily have had a stage one chip implanted giving it 280bhp.

The trouble with using a car like a cosworth on a bit of work was that they attracted too much attention they wasn't a blend in car now for me the wolf in the sheep's clothing was the mark 1 and 2 Sierra 4X4 the mark 1 was a 2.8 ltr the mark 2 was a 2.9 v6 very quick cars and didn't stand out like a cosworth did and keeping a low profile was the name of the game.
The coloun (excuse spelling) and the essex engine's. I had the mk1 4x4, only problem with them was the 4x4 system was heavy and killed a lot of the cars potential. Still a lot of fun was had and yup I wish I kept it.
Can always rely on a dog walker as a witness for a murder or robbery, they just loved a Cosworth in the 90's as a getaway car interesting story, thanks.

The driver was super cool, he knew that 24v senator didn’t stand a chance around town. Astra Sri/ GTE/SXI gone in 60 seconds or less, all the steering locks were the same. Hardest part was getting the ignition casing off. One good rip with your hands covered cuz they could be sharp. Not that I know anything about it....:)
