- THE TRIP
The Foce a Giovo pass is just a one hour ride from Lucca, just north of the Orrido di Botri canyon in Tuscany.
The day starts with a quick light lunch at the Rifugio Casentini, small and cozy, great food and friendly atmosphere.
Working on my off road speed which was hindered by my fear of fully engaging my font break. With some practice, and some stalls, I greatly increased my confidence in my ability to break hard on loose surfaces, hence my speed has easily doubled over my previous average.
REVIEW - Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR
I’m no expert but, based on my experience which seems to be backed up by other riders, I review the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR as follows: awesome on pavement, no question. They feel safe and in control on gravel, provided it’s not too deep, and even rocky trails, as long as they’re bone dry. Here I experience for the first time how slippery they feel on mud; this wasn’t even deep mud, but the rear was all over the place. In fact I had confidently started with traction control on 3, but increased it to 5 right away because the trail starts with a short muddy section (I then forgot to dial it back down for the rest of the dry rocky part).

Track looks awesome. do you have the tools in the side panel? the "rattle" may come from there
I do have the tolls there, I thought they were secure but I'll try to remove them and see if it goes away.
I talked to the KTM mechanics today, and they wanna take a look at the springs of my center stand... maybe that's the issue.

I'm sorry you have to wait that long, but maybe it's for the best, so you get it in time for the summer weather.

Ciao Mirco, la moto è spettacolare, concordo, ma sei troppo generoso riguardo alle riprese... parto con buone intenzioni ma poi finisco per filmare solo dal casco... un po monotono 😅
I percorsi che ho filmato sono molto belli, e ce ne sono tanti già mappati ma ancora da esplorare.
Purtroppo sono spesso solo, oppure accompagnato da moto/piloti meno inclini al "fuori strada", per cui non mi avventuro per cautela; un peccato perché ci sarebbero tanti percorsi a portata di mano.
Da quello che scrivi mi sembra che stai dalle mie parti, Lucca; se ti facesse piacere avere compagnia, scrivi e organizziamo un'uscita 🙂
Ad Aprile, per esempio, sto organizzando con un amico di ripetere il giro completo dell'Eroica. La prima volta l'abbiamo fatta tutta in un giorno, bello ma non lascia tempo per fermarsi a godersi l'esperienza ed i panorami, un po' una maratona. Questa volta vorremmo farla su due gironi, pernottando a metà circuito.
Sono dalla provincia di Reggio Emilia..mi sto approcciando a piccole uscite in strade bianche da poco...mi sono entusiasmato dopo aver provato Norder e poi me la sono persa. Fantastica sono moto eclettiche e perché no forse ci vedremo...sai non sono più giovanissimo...intanto vai così a riprendere bei percorsi
@@mircosan7747 Vedrai che resterai soddisfattissimo della moto, veramente capace in qualunque applicazione, ed allo stesso tempo facile da gestire!
Man mano che le giornate si allungano, avrò modo di condividere nuovi video; alla prossima 🙂
Comunque sto guardando il tragitto che ai fatto su Google maps e appena la primavera ci darà la possibilità di visitare le strade che ai percorso..verremo da quelle parti e perché no farsi un tragitto insieme e un bel caffè. Ciao 👌
