To witness Ohtani play is to watch a comic book character leap off the page, defying the confines of ink and paper, and come to life in vibrant, explosive brilliance, each game a living issue, a collector's edition, with Ohtani as the protagonist in an anthology of greatness.
Now that he's playing for a good team with good offense and good bullpen......I think he has an excellent chance to be first 20-20-20 player in baseball. 20 HR, 20 SB, 20 Wins. Or how about the first player to do 200-200......200 hits, 200 Strikeouts (as a pitcher).
His Cy Young award is coming within 2 years because the Dodgers is a Championship caliber team with a very good offense, not like like the Angels. The only obstacles to prevent him from winning the Cy Young award will be injuries. When healthy, he has a high chance of winning the Cy Young.
Oh my if he wins a Cy Young, he's the GOAT of all sports not just baseball. (okay and maybe a golden glove in a few years? he played defense in the past too)
People were arguing that Shohei shouldn't be the GOAT because he had not won a WS. Now he got one. I wonder what they'll say next. Maybe Shohei will get a few more to shut them all up. It's funny how critics say Judge is the GOAT over Shohei, yet Judge had zero rings and chokes in the playoff year after year.

*If* the Dodgers' starting rotation stays healthy, they will win 115 games. Shohei gave us an amazing season at the plate and on the bases. Next season, I am looking forward to seeing him focus on pitching. For that reason, I think he should go back to not hitting on days he starts on the mound.
What’s next? How about in one season for 2025: - NL MVP - NL Cy Young - All Star - Silver Slugger - Gold Glove - All MLB First (probably won’t happen, but will you be surprised if it did?)
It's amazing to think that Ohtani would have had even better stats had he remained 3rd in the batting order, just like Aaron Judge. Congrats Shohei !!! Congrats to the Dodgers !!!
I hope he is successful right away, but I think he needs next year to build up his arm again and then he can be Cy Young level in 2026. Cy Young is on his HS accomplishments list so I’m sure he really wants that. He needs to avoid injury though.
He went 34-16 with 2.84 ERA & opponents hitting .199 with the Angels for 74 starts 😂. He could've got more W if their bullpen didn't blow out his start. Seeing that shit too many times with the Angels he had to get a run himself to save his win 😂.
unlike some who may have bashed his WS/play off performance, i credit him for a decent start in his first ever post season appearance. Judge, while a great season player, has shown that he greatly under performs year after in the post. I hope Ohtani will go off in the post season in the future to shut up the haters.
This past season Ohtani decided he was going to tear up the base-paths and he put in the work to do it. You can bet your booties he's got a Cy Young in his sights and will anybody be surprised if he does it?
i've been playing baseball since 1889...& let me tell all u young bucks out there...this dude named ohtani...is by far the greatest player to have ever played the greatest game ever created...
What will Ohtani show us next? It's rude to ask! He will leave many records and memories that we have never seen before. A player who makes fantasies come true!📆💫
Do slight stretching for 10 minutes a day. Rest on 4th day. Stretch a little further. Rest on 4th day. Keep that interval for the rest of the off season with good cardio. The injured areas. And less mass on the body. He's strong but you can only stop so much mass until it feels off. Cause I've never seen a football player slide and stop
What’s scary he would have won most the games if he was pitching for the dodgers with LA’s run support. No question game over rest of the league. Imagine this pitching rotation
MLB should take advantage of the major marketing opportunity at their hands and collab with Krispy Kreme, because with the amount a glazing they are doing I think it would be a match made in heaven
as much as we want shohei to win cy young, i dont think dodgers will play him much as a pitcher. Dodgers are still stacked in terms of pitching and we need him more to bring in points rather than pitching. Mookie and freeman werent there half the time to help the team get points so yeah, ohtani was helping dodgers get points on board most of the time
Yup cy young is the only thing left to accomplish. Anything else is just perfectionist levels of insane already. As if what he is doing is not insane enough
Even if he stays healthy, Cy Young/20 wins will be very hard if they go to 6 man rotation. 32 starts vs 27 starts. Lot of no-decisions in the year may hurt.
Quick comment on the pitching staff, sign Max Fried and trade Glasnow. Glasnow is a 110 innings per year pitcher, if that. August 2025, he`s on the IL.
I don’t know. I think he should be your closer. You don’t want him to just eat up innings. And pitching 200 innings. But the next Mariano Rivera, maybe.
I'm not interested in projecting his performance but just hope he can pitch without any injury or setback in 2025 while continuing to hit with authority as well. That alone will be a thrill for fans. He's a lot of fun to watch when pitching, as I saw many times while following him with the Angels. As for the Dodgers' potential starters in the coming season, that's not too accurate. Dustin May is not expected to pitch until the latter half of the season, and his future is uncertain anyway. Bobby Miller was a failure this season, and I'm doubtful he will return to excellence as a starter. Gonsolin has been out for more than a year and is also uncertain, but maybe he'll come through. Flaherty isn't listed, but he would be in the mix if he re-signs with the Dodgers as I think he should. They really need at least one more solid starter by trade or free agency signing. And Kershaw has said he wants to pitch again, but I'm not holding my breath for him returning to form.
Don't think Shohei cares about winning any personal awards anymore, what's next? The next world series win and the next, and the next world series win, until Freddie, Mookie, Snell contracts runs out.😂
What's next for Ohtani? Cy Young award.
What if he gets a Cy Young AND MVP for his offensive stats in same year? Mindblowing...

That is the best proof that how good he is
He shouldn’t have lost some of those games also, his team couldn’t do enough to help him.
@@backinhighschool94 That was their point, pitching on the angels inherently means they aren't gonna give much support to win games
