Hey, very cool, I'm making a myog UL tarp for this purpose, and I think I'll be doing something very similar, so good to see it in action. One tip I've got from Corporal's Corner was with the truckers hitch. When you feed it through the loop, go back through again! It makes it almost lock in, so it doesn't slip and is very easy to get a very good tension and way easier to tie the locking knot. When you are finished if you undo the lock knot, then pull the loose end forward towards the tarp it unlocks the twice through lock and it is easy to undo. Changed how I do them instantly!
Cut some willow branches(or what is locally available) to bend into an arch, stabbed into the ground at each end. Tie the growth ends of two, together. Stab the cut ends in the ground. The end you crawl in through should be larger. Just a smaller version of an arch shelter. Lean them out slightly for more headroom. Nice low cost setup.😳
You can try to make some pull point on 4 side of the bug net to pull up and tie it to the inside of the tarp or on the ridgeline so it will make the bug net more roomier for you to stay in:)
Where did you get your mosquito netting and is it sewn everywhere but the zipper? I have a larger tarp which helps with the headroom issue. Thanks for the video!

Dude, I've been doing that same thing with my tarp camping. Mosquito's suck...literally and figuratively.

That could work but the mosquitos have a tendency to find all small openings!

I bought the net at Amazon, but the model is discontinued. The net has no zipper or floor. Thanks for watching!

no ground sheet ?
