If you've just met someone wouldn't you address them as "usted"? Also, it might be a bit impolite to ask someone you just met how old they are. A tip: if you get lost make sure to ask for "la sala de los personas perdidas"(room for lost people) and not salida de personas olvidas" (exit for forgotten people) :)

@Mariana from Spring Spanish "La sala de los personas perdidas" in this case refers to a temporary place set up at the World's fair in Sevilla. I visited there with a group, and on the last night of the fair one of the members lost her contact lens. While searching for it, we were separated from the rest of the group. My friend spoke no Spanish at all so it was up to me to communicate for both of us. I was so nervous I asked for" la salida de personas olvidas" by mistake-oops!

10:36 When ordering food, I would NOT use "quisiera". To me, it' sounds like, "I wish (to have)..."
It sounds very unnatural. Instead, I´d suggest using either "gusteria", "para mi" or "dame".
    We're very direct in Spanish.
