I Love this channel and all the lessons. I’m learning the chunks and I’m using them. My biggest problem is when people answer me, they talk so fast, I have no idea what they’re saying 😢

When I was in college, my teacher taught us to just say “Más despacio, por favor.”.

I noticed you have a Stephen King & Peter Straub book. A great read.

What is the word for "sides." For example, how would a waiter or a waitress ask "Which sides would you like," and how might one say "I would like a side of fries," or "I would like a salad for the side."

Is it better to use la carta for the menu? When i asked for menus i was offered the set menu del dia.

And what do I say when I’m at the restaurant and for example I pay cash with $300 but the bill was $250, and I don’t want any change because the $50 I want to give as a propina. What do I say to the waiter to make sure they understand that I do not want change and that the extra money in the basket is their propina?

Una leccion bien hecha, Paulisima! Dos notas: It is "go to town ON (not to) your food/meal." And we ASK for the check (but I understand how you can confuse this with the duality of "pedir").
A long time ago, when studying in Mexico, I remember somebody telling me that "Esta' llena" is a euphemism for "She is pregnant." Is that correct? Lo has oido?

    • @stevedavenport1202

Well, maybe, I haven't been to Mexico in a while. The alternative way I always remember is "Esta panzona"

    • @srbaruchi

@@stevedavenport1202 Also "pansona." According to Urban Dictionary: a fat or overweight woman OR a loose pregnant one. Ain't language fun?!

What if your waiter in Mexico is one of those new fangled trans.? Are they a mesero/a or something else?
