VIDEO BACK ONLINE! We have successfully contested the legal dispute administered by Nintendo via UA-cam. Now everyone can continue to enjoy this great music. Have fun. =)
TheXeeman Essentially it's an automated system developed by UA-cam. It searches its database for audio copyright abuse, and creates a lot of false positives as a result. However, representatives of Nintendo WERE involved to some degree, as they had to select in the affirmative that some abuse was taking place. The thing is - we AREN'T abusing fair use under copyright law. It was this whole thing, video gets taken down by UA-cam, we get a strike against our account, and Nintendo could have actually sued us. But, they didn't, so the video is back up! Nintendo is actually pretty bad about stuff like this - they attack let's play accounts and demand a share of ad revenue.
GreatGonzales1 Its funny how videos like these are like free advertisement for companies like Nintendo and they still want them down... i mean, its a bunch of pics and songs from ancient games that someone took the time and effort to edit, without getting paid... and the people who watch may get interested in buying them from their VC service or something. I know many people who buy games if they have good music. Like i do sometimes.
In case if anybody's curious 8 years later, a composer breakdown (a ? indicates multiple composers on a soundtrack without credits): 1. Crazy that over 30% of the list of just dominated by 2 composers. Grant-ed, they were some of the best on the system, but like, wow.
As an author/illustrator, I've listened to hundreds of playlists and "top..." lists and OST's trying to keep focused on the tasks ahead. THIS list is hands-down the best "TOP..." list I've heard. I agree with every single song, maybe not the placement, but each song is great! Some were games I've never played nor heard music from, but now I want to hook up the N64 and get to E-bay. Don't listen to trolls who spout negative words about this list, EVERY song is great and your sentences describing the reasons for the selections are thoughtful and well written. You have my subscription. Author: Galendor: Ye Dude From Yonder Forest
I know this was 2 years ago, but I couldn’t agree more. It’s EASILY in the top 10. The fact that something from Ridge Racer was the next song on the list should be against the law.
isyutd159 Yeah tell me about it, and all the jet force gemini music sucks, like literally ANY other song from SSB, F-Zero, Diddykong, legend of zelda OOT/majora's mask, star wars, or fuck even banjo kazooie was 10 times better than jet force gemini's military drum garbage. F-Zeros "decide in the eyes" for instance was way better than the jet force gemini trash that got #1 like seriously #52? for that fucking glorious piece of work. ua-cam.com/video/B0D8bcCl4yU/v-deo.htmlh43m10s < F-Zeros "decide in the eyes"
Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this video. Not only do I agree with your top choices, but I've been singing Jet Force Gemini praises for years. There's a poster up for it in the background of my videos. It's one of the most underrated games and soundtracks of all time.
Yes one of the main reasons I personally wanted to do this was that JFG doesn't get the respect it deserves. There are many N64 music ranking lists out there, but none rank JFG music appropriately. Absurd - it's the best soundtrack on the system.
52:43 Main Title - Banjo Kazooie 1:09:51 Monkey Smash - Donkey Kong 64 2:29:13 Grunty's Lair - Banjo Kazooie 3:32:13 Title Theme - Diddy Kong Racing 3:39:09 Sloprano (Great Mighty Poo) - Conker's Bad Fur Day 3:46:22 Windy and Co. - Conker's Bad Fur Day
No temple music from OoT at all, no Star Fox 64 ending theme and pretty much every JFG song ever released? This is a good list and I appreciate the effort gone into it, but could have been so much better.
Man, the salt in the comments would make the Dead Sea envious. 9 years later, this is still a list of 100 different bangers from the N64 catalogue. I never paid much attention to a song's ranking on the list, this list still has 100 different songs that are nostalgic AF.
100% agree. I've been coming back to this video as background music while I'm working for years now and every time I come back the comments are absolute Salt Lake City. I don't understand a world where the response to a playlist of 100 great nostalgic songs to listen to (for free!) is something to get angry and throw insults around over.
You could probably make another top 100 N64 songs to be honest, I'm going to say, you missed New Cruis'n USA, and Wave Race. I'm glad you included Pilot Wings. I'd say you have a hard-on for Jet Force Gemini, a game that I've never heard of.
It also feels as if you picked about 15-20 games, of your personal preference, picked 5-7 tracks of each of them, and scattered their order, instead of scouring the Nintendo 64 library, however... this is not exactly unexpected, as my choices for a video like this would likely be based on songs that I had heard before. It would be hard to find new songs, enjoy them like I did 20 years ago, and put them into a compilation, because we're not 6 years old anymore, lol.
I just thought of Castlevania, which I personally liked, I would say it deserves to be in a top 100, but I mean, there's only so many songs you can fit in a top 100, think of how many tracks there are in the N64 library, too many to count.
I don't care about the rankings. I'm just glad y'all put together a hugely varied list of music from this console. Many bring back those childhood memories, but many are also new to me. Great list though, perfect music while working.
Before looking at the video: Top 100 N64 Songs of All Time? Bet all my favorite childhood game osts are gonna be in here! After finishing the video: Thought this was a Top 100 N64 song list, not the Top 100 Jet Force Gemini Songs of All Time archive?!
So much effort was put into this video. I really appreciate the copywriting - this is no ordinary "top 100" list, each song has been described with thought and appropriate word choice. This was a great 4 hour nostalgic adventure, thank you.
It's a damn crime and travesty that no Snowboard Kids or Snowboard Kids 2 music were included in this list. It shows how few games were actually listened to when putting this list together. I can think of at least five off the top of my head that deserve to be a part of this list. Aside from that, great video. 😂
Goldeneye, turok rage wars, Marios, extreme g, duke nukem, star fox 64 i loved all songs from these. My regret from n64 years was not playing perfect dark.
Although I disagree with the ranking of a lot of these, I keep coming back to the video and have played through it countless times over the years. A thorough compilation of great songs.
The line at 26:35 made me like, "Seriously!?!" Then the punchline came. LOL Pretty much all the Diddy Kong Racing commentaries were funny. Also, the hand-picked screenshots added a lot of nostalgia that was suitable for the tracks being played. Bravo on a great list of songs. :-D
As much as I loved this, this had almost the entire OSTs of Jet Force Gemini, Pilotwings and Diddy Kong Racing in it lol. It needed more variety in the games. How many different games are featured in this? Like 10? I get that some games just deserve to be featured multiple times but this didn't feel like an in-depth, all-encompassing exploration of N64 music I wanted
I disagree, it had a lot more variety than that, and really only featured a handful of songs from each the games you mentioned. Good work on the video! Of course its missing some of my favorite tracks, but lets just chalk that up to nostalgic bias, something none of us are free from ;-)
We provide all the games that made it into the video at 4:19:34 It is so, we made the decision to include songs more based on song quality, than wide game representation.
Oh lord I just found this channel by watching their FF song list..... Here goes another hour of my life watching the video and then reading comments complaining that more of their favorite games, songs, game-songs weren't included or that they don't agree with the placement of certain songs but reluctantly accepting the top 2-3 songs since they are probably the most iconic. Good way to waste a couple hours on a rainy Sunday Edit: creators clearly have a bias for jet force Gemini lol
Thank you everyone for helping us reach the 300k mark! We love that folks are still enjoying this list. Also, our next video will be released in the next 1-2 weeks! Please look forward to it. It will fill you with determination.
+AccordingToSCIENCE This list is not bad but theres a very big FAIL thats why i wouldnt rate good either, SNOWBOARD KIDS seems like you didnt play that game thats the only reason can explain why not in this list, for me at least 3 songs could be in this list easily, i recommend you to listen it :)
The entire Jet Force Gemini soundtrack... and eh, maybe we'll throw in some other Rare games music too, and eh, we'll chuck in some notable cases from the games everybody knows, and some random ones from the games most people don't, make sure JFG is sprinkled in evenly because it would be weird if we put all of it at the top, clumped together like we wanted to.
Nostalgic content is what I live for. I absolutely love Smash, Diddy Kong's Racing, Mario Kart, Mario 64, and Zelda's soundtracks the most! I do think you're number one choice was a good contender for the top 10 best songs, but I still believe that Dire Dire Docks deserved the title of best N64 song of all time. Regardless, thanks for putting such a video out. It makes me feel like a kid all over again!
Long story but when I was little my fam had parental controls for the PC before it turned off I turned this video on just to listen to the soundtracks I would stay up all night to hear rainbow road but it took so long to get to #20 that I would fall asleep. As we played the music we were able to tell where we were in the video by the order of songs. We since then don't play this video at night that was 6 years ago. I thought I would come by to pay it a visit. This video also inspired me to make a hits of favorite songs and the first few came from this video. So I found some new songs by this video. Thank you for uploading this as this was a big part of my childhood.
I am extremely grateful to the creator of this- clearly a huge amount of effort went into it. Watching/listening has been amazing, really sending me back 20 (!) years. Worth every minute you spent making it, no matter how long!
This lists and the work that must have gone into it is nothing short of extraordinary. So many great memories and even more hidden gems. I hope you blow up so I can get a ps1 version!
This video deserves way more views and also praise for all the effort you put into the captions that show you actually put some thought behind the rankings.
Jet Force Gemini soundtrack is something that I will remember for the rest of my life, back when I was a kid and played that game I kept having dreams of it too and stuff.
Hey man! I appreciate this video a lot, I love the captions you put with it, it must have been a lot of work. I hope you had a blast making this video!
I like how you put your work into that video, and with the little info to every song.. But where are the Mario Party Songs? There are so good songs. And i am sorry but i think your favourite game must be Jet Force Gemini.. No Turok or Rayman 2? I am so confused if this is really voted by people, i think its just the games YOU played.. But its nice to listen to during workout! Thank you
Yeah, the lack of Paper Mario, which has my favorite tracks on N64, make it hard for me to completely agree with this list, but difference in opinion aside, it is a well made video and most of these tracks are spot-on.
Yea this playlist is great, even songs from games I didnt even play took me back and gave me nostalgia. I like the fact they included the song name and game in the video too as that probably took a lot of effort.
Gotta love Top 100 Greatest Jet Force Gemini Songs of All Time or whatever this is. But seriously, while our top 100 N64 songs differ significantly I still enjoyed listening to a great N64 mix!
Welcome to the internet where you can put days of work into a video over multiple hours long - just for people to complain because their favourites being underrepresented or because it's not the same mainstream stuff they can hear anywhere else. This is what threatens or even kills variety. I'm not that big of a fan of Jet Force Gemini either, but I still liked listening to it. The songs might not be as memorable, but their audio quality is astonishing. We're talking about the N64 here - one of the many consoles that uses sequenced music. Anything that seemingly breaks those limitations is impressive in my book. I hope you can get past the many people with their one-track mind, because it's fun listening and re-listening through your lists, getting introduced to new songs and get a different perspective than just your own.
You guys did a very good job on how you actually talk about each track. I think that makes your list better than most lists on top video game soundtracks existing on UA-cam. Very good. I also liked how you displayed graphics for each track and the game it was from, as well as the ranked# on the list. Also like how you listed the stats at the end. Now for some constructive criticism. There were quite a few glaring omissions from this list. No Castlevania, Turok, Wave Race, Mortal Kombat, Bomber Man, Mischief Makers or Top Gear among a few others. Wave Race should have had at least 2, if not more, on this list alone. Makes me wonder if you guys actually even played or gave a listen to Wave Race? Also, I'm sure someone has mentioned it already, but you used cues from John Williams' Empire Strikes Back score for Shadows of the Empire. You should have used Joel McNeely's cue tracks instead, since his stuff was written for the game and books. The music you guys used was not even written for the game originally and was over 16 years old at the time of this game's release. I think a criteria for the list should have been only 3, maybe 4 tracks from 1 single game allowed. Would have helped the list have a little more variety and given some other games representation on the list that they deserved. Otherwise, good job!
3:30 Kokiri Forest theme was available on CD with much higher quality, but, Im assuming now the point of this video is to have ripped audio directly from the games, right?
Jet Force Gemini was a real journey. I think that half of what makes it great is the music. It made the enemy base hallways feel more dangeous, discovering new worlds AN EVENT, and the whole experience more engaging. Jet Force Gemini is the definition of "underrated game".
Amazing! I love music and videogames... and I grew with the N64. Totally agree with your list. I also enjoyed your comments. Nice to see another fan of Jet Force Gemini's music. I miss the old Rare. Thanks for this video from Spain.
It took me a few days, but I managed to listen to the entire video, and I must say, I'm quite impressed with all the work that went into this. You've also convinced me to give Jet Force Gemini a try. Earlier today I went to my local Gaming Warehouse and picked up a copy for $10. Kudos, guys!
Can't say I agree with the entire list, being aware of songs i love that didn't make the list, but let's face it: many of the old n64 songs we all personally love is strictly due to nostalgia and taste. Either way, what a ton of work this must have been! Thanks for the vid, now i want to plunge into all my favorite classic video game music.
Just watched the whole thing. Took me on a major nostalgia trip. The quality from the top 30 onwards is phenomenal, masterpiece after masterpiece. Only complaint would be that I expected at least one or two Banjo Tooie songs
Thank you so much for all your hard work. This is not a compilation-music video. Its a love letter. All the things you wrote for each spot on the list shows how much dedication you put in the making of this video. Thank you so much, from a N64 fan to another. EDIT:By the way, Jet Force OST is amazing for its era. I played all N64 games back in 1997-2002. And JFG was the pinnacle of music quality on the console. No doubt about it. I get why you put all those melodies from the game in the list. And I'm agree. Don't mind the stupid comments.
Thx to this i now own a purple N64, goldeneye, goemon, DK64, Mario 64, shadow of the empire, podracer, diddy kong racer, rogue squadron and majoras mask. More are coming! Thanks for sharing this awesome music and inspiring me to go retro :)
Wow, over 200,000 views already! Much thanks to everyone who watched, listened, liked, and/or subbed. We spent a lot of time on this video, so it's great to see so many people enjoying it. We are currently hard at work on our next project - which is even more ambitious than this one! Stay tuned for that, we think you'll like it. ;)
+AccordingToSCIENCE Excellent work guys! I can only hope you don't keep us waiting too much! Do you have an estimate of when will you be releasing your next video? Regards!
+AccordingToSCIENCE Fantastic compilation. The little personal notes are a really nice touch. Can't help but notice that so many of these were composed by the legendary Graeme Norgate whilst at Rare. What an incredible influence he had on the video game music scene.
Nice and thoughtful list. Personally I can't stand the music from Kirby, but great to see JFG getting so much attention. Think I would have added a few tracks in, music from Doom 64, Turok 2, end credits from Ocarina...and killer instinct gold!! Enjoyed your commentary!
I think you should have put a maximum of 3 songs per game, since putting as 15 themes of jet force gemini is ridiculous, it takes away the variety and you lacked games with better soundtrack like shadowgate 64

VIDEO BACK ONLINE! We have successfully contested the legal dispute administered by Nintendo via UA-cam. Now everyone can continue to enjoy this great music. Have fun. =)
Wow, I'm so disappointed to hear that a great company like Nintendo would try to take down a video like this :(
How did you contest it? What did you say?
GreatGonzales1 they have got a lot better over the last year, They are even supporting some youtubers, So thats good I guess :P
GreatGonzales1
Its funny how videos like these are like free advertisement for companies like Nintendo and they still want them down... i mean, its a bunch of pics and songs from ancient games that someone took the time and effort to edit, without getting paid... and the people who watch may get interested in buying them from their VC service or something. I know many people who buy games if they have good music. Like i do sometimes.
In case if anybody's curious 8 years later, a composer breakdown (a ? indicates multiple composers on a soundtrack without credits):

17. Keith Arem (2) - Ridge Racer 64
18. Joel McNeely (2) - Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire
Sure do love some lovely Rare! Crazy that over 30% of the list of just dominated by 2 composers. Grant-ed, they were some of the best on the system, but like, wow.
Appreciate you doing this work! We should have done a better job honoring the composers of this music back when we made this video.
Triumverent Much thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to us. And thanks for the sub - we have many more great lists planned!
+Triumverent You caught me. I have an opened ebay tab right now as I am posting this.
+Triumverent
"your sentences describing the reasons for the selections are thoughtful and well written." totally agree!
The Mario 64 Staff roll is criminally low
agreed.
@@sirmcflurry6344 Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. There may be dozens of us! DOZENS!
I know this was 2 years ago, but I couldn’t agree more. It’s EASILY in the top 10. The fact that something from Ridge Racer was the next song on the list should be against the law.
Alternate title: Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack (plus assorted N64 music)
This guy is obsessed with jet force gemini
Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed lol
isyutd159 Yeah tell me about it, and all the jet force gemini music sucks, like literally ANY other song from SSB, F-Zero, Diddykong, legend of zelda OOT/majora's mask, star wars, or fuck even banjo kazooie was 10 times better than jet force gemini's military drum garbage. F-Zeros "decide in the eyes" for instance was way better than the jet force gemini trash that got #1 like seriously #52? for that fucking glorious piece of work.
ua-cam.com/video/B0D8bcCl4yU/v-deo.htmlh43m10s < F-Zeros "decide in the eyes"
Morgue eugrom Are... Are you Mizar? Because I think you're Mizar...
isyutd159 And it's not even that good. Or good at all.
***** I thought it was okay, it was too ambitious.
And I see the poster! What a game, right? So underrated. :)
Thank you!! Love the game!
52:43 Main Title - Banjo Kazooie
1:09:51 Monkey Smash - Donkey Kong 64
2:29:13 Grunty's Lair - Banjo Kazooie
3:32:13 Title Theme - Diddy Kong Racing
3:39:09 Sloprano (Great Mighty Poo) - Conker's Bad Fur Day
3:46:22 Windy and Co. - Conker's Bad Fur Day
3:24:16 Cradle - Goldeneye 64
Song of Healing should be way further up
No temple music from OoT at all, no Star Fox 64 ending theme and pretty much every JFG song ever released? This is a good list and I appreciate the effort gone into it, but could have been so much better.
it's overall a very generic "typical" list by people that listen to music casually
+SCWillz Ehm, you haven't seen the Forest Temple theme?
+SCWillz "No temple from OoT at all," I can see that you missed #22.
+RaggaeOfFunk Who knew more popular music would make a top 100 list?
Man, the salt in the comments would make the Dead Sea envious. 9 years later, this is still a list of 100 different bangers from the N64 catalogue. I never paid much attention to a song's ranking on the list, this list still has 100 different songs that are nostalgic AF.
100% agree. I've been coming back to this video as background music while I'm working for years now and every time I come back the comments are absolute Salt Lake City. I don't understand a world where the response to a playlist of 100 great nostalgic songs to listen to (for free!) is something to get angry and throw insults around over.
There are 12 Jet Force Gemini Songs in this list. Should've called this video Top 12 Jet Force Gemini Songs of All Jet Force Gemini.
You could probably make another top 100 N64 songs to be honest,
I'm going to say, you missed New Cruis'n USA, and Wave Race.
I'm glad you included Pilot Wings.
I'd say you have a hard-on for Jet Force Gemini,
a game that I've never heard of.
It also feels as if you picked about 15-20 games, of your personal preference,
picked 5-7 tracks of each of them, and scattered their order,
instead of scouring the Nintendo 64 library, however...
this is not exactly unexpected, as my choices for a video like this
would likely be based on songs that I had heard before.
It would be hard to find new songs, enjoy them like I did 20 years ago,
and put them into a compilation, because we're not 6 years old anymore, lol.
I just thought of Castlevania, which I personally liked,
I would say it deserves to be in a top 100, but I mean,
there's only so many songs you can fit in a top 100,
think of how many tracks there are in the N64 library, too many to count.
JFG probably had the best overall soundtrack on the system.
"there's only so many songs you can fit in a top 100"
Me and my team have made our research, and everything points to precisely 100.
I don't care about the rankings. I'm just glad y'all put together a hugely varied list of music from this console. Many bring back those childhood memories, but many are also new to me. Great list though, perfect music while working.
Listened through at least four times while working.
Its so sad we can’t have more amazing RareWare games anymore with beautiful music
Before looking at the video: Top 100 N64 Songs of All Time? Bet all my favorite childhood game osts are gonna be in here!
After finishing the video: Thought this was a Top 100 N64 song list, not the Top 100 Jet Force Gemini Songs of All Time archive?!
NO GOD DAMN IT DK RAP #1
*dislikes*
*feels bad and un-dislikes but is still salty about you saying dk rap was a joke*
As soon as I clicked on this video: "Mario Kart 64 end credits music has to be top 5 for sure."
Wasn't disappointed! Good list.
#81 should totally be #1 imo- that song encapsulates every good memory in my n64 experience
Honestly #1 is the DK rap
It was up there for sure...
But not #1
It blows my mind that people are disliking this video. This video is amazing.
I clicked this thinking it was 4 minutes long. Oh boy I know how I'm spending the rest of my night
Hell yeah, and since it opened with Jet Force Gemini I have to stay.
So much effort was put into this video. I really appreciate the copywriting - this is no ordinary "top 100" list, each song has been described with thought and appropriate word choice. This was a great 4 hour nostalgic adventure, thank you.
DK rap should have been number one! Hahaha, definitely one of the most memorable that's for sure!
I hate that I did all that, listened to so much, got so hype for number 1.... and it was...
j e t f o r c e g e m e n i
Damn it I was really digging that DK Rap.
You had #1 right the first time.
Shame you had a hard on for jet force Gemini. Maybe you would have noticed turok 2 seeds of evil first level song.
RampantWolf, yeah, Port of Adia was a damn good jam :)
In our opinion the N64 is one of the best consoles of all time, and the music for the games it played is legendary. Great job on this list!
Although I disagree with the ranking of a lot of these, I keep coming back to the video and have played through it countless times over the years. A thorough compilation of great songs.
indeed
The line at 26:35 made me like, "Seriously!?!" Then the punchline came. LOL
Pretty much all the Diddy Kong Racing commentaries were funny.
Great comment - I agree %100
I disagree, it had a lot more variety than that, and really only featured a handful of songs from each the games you mentioned. Good work on the video! Of course its missing some of my favorite tracks, but lets just chalk that up to nostalgic bias, something none of us are free from ;-)
We provide all the games that made it into the video at 4:19:34 It is so, we made the decision to include songs more based on song quality, than wide game representation.
I WISH it had more DKR.
The top 100 songs are all Jet Force Gemini, bro.
Your efforts will not be wasted, my friend! I shall listen to this video for years on end.
Good way to waste a couple hours on a rainy Sunday
Edit: creators clearly have a bias for jet force Gemini lol
I just pressed the like button when I heard the first notes of DK Rap. Well done
ashthedragon you mustve been really disappointed ten seconds later.
tehDman
I was :(
ashthedragon I was about to pressed dislike when I heard DK rap lol.
Alexandre Gatineau From now on, we are sworn enemies. Lol jk
Thank you everyone for helping us reach the 300k mark! We love that folks are still enjoying this list.
Also, our next video will be released in the next 1-2 weeks! Please look forward to it.
It will fill you with determination.
+AccordingToSCIENCE Why not credit the composers of these tracks?
+AccordingToSCIENCE This list is not bad but theres a very big FAIL thats why i wouldnt rate good either, SNOWBOARD KIDS seems like you didnt play that game thats the only reason can explain why not in this list, for me at least 3 songs could be in this list easily, i recommend you to listen it :)
This is very relaxing thank you sir.
You should make more videos like this one, you have good hear. Best Regards.
Dude you did such an awesome job with this soundtrack! I am hearing songs I haven't heard in so many years. Well done my friend.
This video is helping me to get the whole house clean. Thank you!
OMG . Pilotwings, i completely forgot !! listening to that music, it hit me instantly...
what a game, what a soundtrack, long lost memory refreshed...
Fun drinking game: take a shot every time it's a song from Jet Force Gemini
Long story but when I was little my fam had parental controls for the PC before it turned off I turned this video on just to listen to the soundtracks I would stay up all night to hear rainbow road but it took so long to get to #20 that I would fall asleep. As we played the music we were able to tell where we were in the video by the order of songs. We since then don't play this video at night that was 6 years ago. I thought I would come by to pay it a visit. This video also inspired me to make a hits of favorite songs and the first few came from this video. So I found some new songs by this video. Thank you for uploading this as this was a big part of my childhood.
I am back 2 years later to fall asleep to it once more
And back again!
I am extremely grateful to the creator of this- clearly a huge amount of effort went into it. Watching/listening has been amazing, really sending me back 20 (!) years. Worth every minute you spent making it, no matter how long!
I mean, this exposed me to great music from a bunch of games I didn't play so that's cool but
HOW TF IS THERE NOT A SINGLE PAPER MARIO SONG
This makes the entire list invalid.
I bought Blast Corps after watching this video. The combination of the music and the game mechanics make this game an unusual and fun experience!
"Who hasn't spent a few minutes just chilling out in Zora's Domain
solely to listen to the music?"
'
This lists and the work that must have gone into it is nothing short of extraordinary. So many great memories and even more hidden gems. I hope you blow up so I can get a ps1 version!
This video deserves way more views and also praise for all the effort you put into the captions that show you actually put some thought behind the rankings.
2:58:14. Oh my god that song... Had no idea a treasure like THAT existed... Out of all of them, Jet Force Gemini is hands down my favorite.
Jet Force Gemini soundtrack is something that I will remember for the rest of my life, back when I was a kid and played that game I kept having dreams of it too and stuff.
The amount of love and dedication poured into this video is just pure master class!
Someone really liked Jet Force Gemini.
REALLY liked
Gerudo Valley theme and Dire Dire Docks is my favorite of all time
Personally I favor
Boos Haunted Merry Go Round
Twinmold Theme
Thanks for showing some love to Jet Force Gemini! One of the greatest unsung epics in all of gaming history.
I respect the love for Jet Force Gemini, criminally underrated
Completely agree.
Hey man! I appreciate this video a lot, I love the captions you put with it, it must have been a lot of work. I hope you had a blast making this video!
I must say, as someone with a degree in Jazz Performance, and born in 94, this compilation is perfect.
i thought it was according to science lol
I like how you put your work into that video, and with the little info to every song..
But where are the Mario Party Songs? There are so good songs. And i am sorry but i think your favourite game must be Jet Force Gemini..
No Turok or Rayman 2? I am so confused if this is really voted by people, i think its just the games YOU played..
But its nice to listen to during workout! Thank you
Yeah, the lack of Paper Mario, which has my favorite tracks on N64, make it hard for me to completely agree with this list, but difference in opinion aside, it is a well made video and most of these tracks are spot-on.
Really find this to be the best list of its kind on UA-cam for so many reasons. Can't stop listening!
Awwww I was jamming to the DK rap. Prepared to sing every lyric...
:(
I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Good job guys!
I am a little surprised that there weren't more diddy kong racing songs in this list, they were all great.
I actually loved the DK rap
I really like the written explanations in this vid!
Hope you enjoy it! Control scheme can be difficult to get used to, but very fun game once you do.
Thanks for this upload! The N64 not only had some amazing soundtracks, but also sound effects. Especially for a cart based system!
Jesus Christ someone loves Jetforce Gemini
was just a freaking udnerrated game with a lot of great songs
More like Diddy Kong Racing and Goemon and Donkey Kong...
way to include literally every jet force song lol
This is bringing back so many memories! I never realized how many games I've played on N 64.
Title song zelda oracina of time deserves top 10
Kinda surprised Wave Race wasn't on here, that game has a great soundtrack!
I mean this playlist is subjective as ****, but yeah I mean wave racer not making it in any slot is beyond shocking
This playlist was sponsorised by Rare thanks for watching
Perfect Dark stay a legend forever
A list like this really needs some Starfox entries. Zoness and Area 6 in particular. Regardless, thank you so much for this compilation!
Area 6 is #62
1:22:06 Thank you! I had this on while doing homework and must have stuck in my subconscious as I zoned out. Now I wish it was rated higher xD
If you like listening to great N64 music while doing homework, you should check out our list! (We have plenty of Starfox ;)
SF64 is full of amazing tracks; Zoness, Aquas, Sector Y, I could go on. I'm sure a couple of them could have easily replaced some JFG and SM64 songs.
@@TheDissentience I like super mario 3d world games
Just watched the whole thing. Took me on a major nostalgia trip. The quality from the top 30 onwards is phenomenal, masterpiece after masterpiece. Only complaint would be that I expected at least one or two Banjo Tooie songs
According to Jet Force Gemini
Thank you so much for all your hard work. This is not a compilation-music video. Its a love letter. All the things you wrote for each spot on the list shows how much dedication you put in the making of this video. Thank you so much, from a N64 fan to another.
EDIT:By the way, Jet Force OST is amazing for its era. I played all N64 games back in 1997-2002. And JFG was the pinnacle of music quality on the console. No doubt about it. I get why you put all those melodies from the game in the list. And I'm agree. Don't mind the stupid comments.
I've listened to this entire list a concerning number of times now. Always find myself coming back to it to relive that sweet nostalgia.
Rare was the best back on N64 times....
I was the happiest person alive when I saw that the dk rap was first but it apparently it was a joke. Now i'm sad.
Thx to this i now own a purple N64, goldeneye, goemon, DK64, Mario 64, shadow of the empire, podracer, diddy kong racer, rogue squadron and majoras mask. More are coming! Thanks for sharing this awesome music and inspiring me to go retro :)
Glad I kept listening, I really thought the DK rap was your guys' favorite bahaha
Wow, over 200,000 views already! Much thanks to everyone who watched, listened, liked, and/or subbed. We spent a lot of time on this video, so it's great to see so many people enjoying it.
We are currently hard at work on our next project - which is even more ambitious than this one! Stay tuned for that, we think you'll like it. ;)
+AccordingToSCIENCE Dude, you fucking deserve it
+AccordingToSCIENCE Excellent work guys! I can only hope you don't keep us waiting too much! Do you have an estimate of when will you be releasing your next video? Regards!
We will be releasing our next video very very soon! Probably March! Thank you for your patience. :)
+AccordingToSCIENCE Fantastic compilation. The little personal notes are a really nice touch. Can't help but notice that so many of these were composed by the legendary Graeme Norgate whilst at Rare. What an incredible influence he had on the video game music scene.
Please don't ever let this playlist die. Such an incledible trip down memory lane.
Who wants to be the hero and time stamp all the tracks? :P
you?
I got pranked with that DK rap. Resteroni in pepperoni
Nice and thoughtful list. Personally I can't stand the music from Kirby, but great to see JFG getting so much attention. Think I would have added a few tracks in, music from Doom 64, Turok 2, end credits from Ocarina...and killer instinct gold!! Enjoyed your commentary!
I think you should have put a maximum of 3 songs per game, since putting as 15 themes of jet force gemini is ridiculous, it takes away the variety and you lacked games with better soundtrack like shadowgate 64
well that was fun to listen to. Don't recall any Paper Mario though, figured that'd get one or two fun up-beat tunes in
