This game is as close as it gets to being part of my psyche and the score figures prominently in that. I remember downloading the MIDI back in the day and using whatever basic software I could get to separate the tracks and display it in a very rough sheet music format. I couldn't help but smile all the way, made my workday so much brighter PS: The "Ha!" for the Millenial Fair theme was so perfect
Ahh thank you :) I worked so hard on making it sound as close to the original as possible- because the soundtrack is already so perfect and didn't need anything more- except maybe some acoustic instruments :) So glad you loved it!!
This soundtrack is one of my strongest reference points and inspirations in my day to day music creations even to this day. You did it justice. Amazing work Kara! 🙏🏼
This takes me back. Beautiful and extremely talented people for everyone involved in the making of , not only thos video, but one of the mosy influential RPG's of all time. Well done. Keep being yourself and hold your head up high. Well deserved for all your hard work and creative ingenuity for this video.
Great job! I am officially back in the 90’s and it’s 2 am and my biggest concern was forgetting the last instructions the game gave me so I’d grind the game for hours. Why did it feel so long to beat the game back then? Bravo.
That was delightful! The harpsichord really made a lot of those songs shine extra strong! I played Chrono Trigger for the first time in 2020 and went in expecting it to be a decent RPG that was held so high largely on nostalgia, one I couldn't appreciate as well so long from the world it launched in to, and instead understood why it's such a beloved game. "But the future refused to change" still gives me chills
Wish I could give this 14 thumbs-up! Based on my browser history, it looks like that's around how many times I've listened to this soundtrack since I found your channel in the beginning of April. So much amazing music to listen to while working. I love how you combined the different instruments, and the different costumes gave a great visual contrast.

This game was just incredible. But the music was what made it really stand out. I still get goosebumps when listening to some of the tracks. Wonderfully played, Kara!
Wow this is the best Chrono Trigger soundtrack I've ever heard. This is like listening to what the original songs sounded like when they were composed by the artist, before they were translated down into 16-bit Super Nintendo music.
Definitely one of the best ever game soundtracks from start to finish! Heroic, gothic, futuristic, emotional, anthemic - absolutely love i! Such a great arrangement, performance and cosplay Kara - incredible tribute!
I am overwhelmed in a good sense by this artwork... Flawless interpretations of each of the songs, I´ve always found this soundtrack to be one of the most beautiful and emotional of all time, brings tears of joy to my eyes!! plus you went all around looking for Lucca, Marle and Ayla, found them, taught them how to play and hone their skill, record them and edit them!!! Awesome everything!!! I love every second of this.
This has been a very bright spot in a current spell of severe depression. As a fellow musician your execution is absolutely perfect. And as someone who has beaten this game a dozen or so times. This has meant a lot to me. Thank you!
Wow, this is wonderful! I love the addition of the organ (and harpsichord, though I admittedly haven't heard of that until now.) It captures the original sound perfectly and puts this whole thing light years ahead of other similar Chrono Trigger projects I've seen. Fantastic work... thanks for making me feel like a kid again for a couple hours 😃
That’s wonderful, thank you so much. I felt like it needed more than one instrument to do it justice but I’m such a chrono trigger snob, I didn’t want to skip any notes :)
this is a triumph of humanity. the OG score, the thoughtful interpretation onto the the 3 main historical keyboard instruments, the fun and goofy costumes and moments! I'll be watching this for a while
oh wow thanks, this means so much! Glad you found me and the video, hope you enjoy it for a long time!! I did my best to stay true to the greatness of the original version!!
The fact that I can actually envision a whole playthrough of this game because each of these songs are played in order of appearance... It's amazing! I love Chrono Trigger!! Easily my favourite game of all time (Before I discovered NieR Automata)
Okay I give up, third time listening to this whole suite and listening "TO FAR AWAY TIMES" always leaves me in tears, such a beautiful song and played so beautifully by you Kara, I have nothing to say, I just stand here watching you play these marvelous songs and I keep thinking alone imagining a piano concert with you...

thank you, yes I agree it's one of my favorites, hard choice between this and FF6 :) I also did a complete soundtrack of FF6 too! ua-cam.com/video/J5mOs7O1dvg/v-deo.htmlsi=NnJH_MMnL2NMuu2c
The production value on this is just incredible! I've been looking forward to this full soundtrack for months or years [honestly]. Congratulations on pulling off such a massive feat!
Aw wow thanks for watching Caleb!!
This was lovely!
Oh my god, the arrangements were amazing, so true to the original compositions yet felt so new
Also the video edition and the shots of you playing!
Also the cosplays!
I couldn't help but smile all the way, made my workday so much brighter
PS: The "Ha!" for the Millenial Fair theme was so perfect
Ahh thank you :) I worked so hard on making it sound as close to the original as possible- because the soundtrack is already so perfect and didn't need anything more- except maybe some acoustic instruments :) So glad you loved it!!
Glad to see you're still producing covers of Chrono Trigger. Really inspiring, might do the same at some point.
I’ve been really looking forward to this and am already enjoying it so much. Thank you for your performance.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much!
As I listened, tears started to flow. It turns out this song is accompanied by tears.
Tears to my eyes 😭
I keep coming back to listen to this. So I'm commenting again. You did a really good job with this music!
Thank you for your second comment! They’re special to me no matter what, I love that people keep coming back 😊
this was so wonderful to watch live, thank you for all the work you put into this!
thank you for being there and for chatting and making it such a nice time! I had a blast
@@KaraComparetto np! like i said in the chat, when i have money, i will do my best to buy something!
This soundtrack is one of my strongest reference points and inspirations in my day to day music creations even to this day. You did it justice. Amazing work Kara! 🙏🏼
Thank you very much! So glad you loved it. I have a strong connection to this soundtrack as well ❤
本当に素晴らしい!演奏してくださってありがとう。
ご聴取ありがとうございました!!
This takes me back. Beautiful and extremely talented people for everyone involved in the making of , not only thos video, but one of the mosy influential RPG's of all time. Well done. Keep being yourself and hold your head up high. Well deserved for all your hard work and creative ingenuity for this video.
Ah thank you, I certainly had no lack of inspiration with this incredible soundtrack :)
Revisit this video with good headphones, it will let you hear subtle sounds like the muffled thumps of the organ's keys!
YES!! The best way to listen :)
Great job! I am officially back in the 90’s and it’s 2 am and my biggest concern was forgetting the last instructions the game gave me so I’d grind the game for hours. Why did it feel so long to beat the game back then?
Bravo.
thank you :D
That was delightful! The harpsichord really made a lot of those songs shine extra strong!
I played Chrono Trigger for the first time in 2020 and went in expecting it to be a decent RPG that was held so high largely on nostalgia, one I couldn't appreciate as well so long from the world it launched in to, and instead understood why it's such a beloved game. "But the future refused to change" still gives me chills
Wow you played it late, I wish I had the opportunity to experience it again for the first time!😊
This brought back some many great memories and vibes from my childhood. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much!
@@paigecollier5088 thank you Paige!!
Wish I could give this 14 thumbs-up! Based on my browser history, it looks like that's around how many times I've listened to this soundtrack since I found your channel in the beginning of April. So much amazing music to listen to while working. I love how you combined the different instruments, and the different costumes gave a great visual contrast.
aww wow thank you
Muchas felicidades! Yo jugué Chrono Trigger cuando salió en los noventas. Mi juego favorito de SNES. Mi soundtrack favorito de SNES. Muchas gracias y lo mejor!
RIP Akira Toryama!
i giggled out loud at the "ha!" in unison
YES! BRAVO!!
Wow this was an emotional 2 hours. This soundtrack is so dear to me and oh my did you do it justice. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you!
Loved the costumes too! SO cute! From now on when I picture Princess Nadia I will be picturing you! 👸 😄
aww thank you!! :)
Nostalgic music perfect for reading, studying, and remembering.
Yes, I love those three words :)
This game was just incredible. But the music was what made it really stand out. I still get goosebumps when listening to some of the tracks. Wonderfully played, Kara!
The game wouldn't have been the same without this great soundtrack!! :)
This is wildly impressive. I love this so much, thank you for sharing your craft with everyone!
Thank you Michael!
Oh lady congrats for all your efforts to reach in this amazing level ! Glad to listen this sooooo muuuchhh !
20:18 The use of pipe organ for "Guardia Castle" is SO good.
Easily one of the most beautiful arrangements of these songs. Amazing job
Thank you so much for that ❤
Immediately fast-forwarded to see if the Lavos screech was still there. Was not disappoint. 10/10 Would screech again!
How could I leave it out?! Best part 😂😂😂 thank you!!
Not a single note left behind. Exceptional effort, skill and love in equal amounts. Thank you.
Thank you, I did my best to stay true to the original ❤
Wow this is the best Chrono Trigger soundtrack I've ever heard. This is like listening to what the original songs sounded like when they were composed by the artist, before they were translated down into 16-bit Super Nintendo music.
感動しましたσ(*´∀`*)
楽しんでいただけてとても嬉しいです!!

This is giving me goosebumps! Truly skilful and amazing!
Amazing video! I am astonished!
I love every second of this.
hahah I will tell you, Ayla was a bit feisty when I tried to teach her but she learned well! XD thank you so much!!
This has been a very bright spot in a current spell of severe depression. As a fellow musician your execution is absolutely perfect. And as someone who has beaten this game a dozen or so times. This has meant a lot to me. Thank you!
thank you, Im glad this provides you some comfort during those dark times
SOOO MANY MEMORIES
The fact that I can actually envision a whole playthrough of this game because each of these songs are played in order of appearance...
It's amazing!
I love Chrono Trigger!!
Easily my favourite game of all time (Before I discovered NieR Automata)
haha it's mine too!
dont know if you're into game mods, but here's a good one karacomparettomusic.com/stories/kara-comparetto-chrono-trigger-snes-music-mod.html :P
@@KaraComparetto Woah this is really cool.
I didn't know you did stuff like this too!
I also did one for final fantasy 1, final fantasy vi, chrono cross and donkey Kong country 2! I don’t do them myself, someone else makes them for me 😂
@@KaraComparetto Wow that's like awesome.
Okay I give up, third time listening to this whole suite and listening "TO FAR AWAY TIMES" always leaves me in tears, such a beautiful song and played so beautifully by you Kara, I have nothing to say, I just stand here watching you play these marvelous songs and I keep thinking alone imagining a piano concert with you...
thank you, that comment almost made me cry itself. I didn't release To Far Away Times as a stand alone video, partly because I feel like it needs to be experienced after listening to the entire soundtrack :)
@@KaraComparettoThank you so much, reading your answer and listening your music really makes me happy, I get what you mean by letting us listen to everything before the gran finale.❤❤
