I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that “No AI was used to make this music” note in the description. It sucks we live in a world where it has to be said, but we do, and that reassurance is invaluable.
Let's say if you can't differentiate between AI music and human-made music, how does it matter from a purely artistic and experiential view? (Not considering the obvious downsides of what AI is doing to artists trying to make a living). Sincere question, thanks.
@@noahwig500 In my opinion, because part of the joy of listening to music is the artistic integrity of the musician you know behind it, not just the final, literal sound of waves hitting your ears. From an artistic point of view, art is so much larger than a final product. The process and study of art is so important to the artistic experience. When I go to a museum to look at a painting, I don't go to just see a picture. I go to see the life of the artist breathed into every piece of the artwork and know that they studied for years to be able to get to this point. Same with music, it's a culmination of all of the artist's life experiences and ideas. So maybe a lot of music wouldn't be distinguishable between AI and human. But if you knew it was human, wouldn't the above reasons be good enough to dissuade you from listening to AI music? (it would for me) Even if the music sounded the same objectively, I wouldn't feel very inspired if I knew it was AI music.
Totally agree. I went looking for it. I need the human touch today. Don’t mind AI music if I’m not really paying attention but if I want to get immersed it takes more.
So you dont appreciate human technological advancement just because its producing things you dont care about? Selfish perspective out onto the world bud, glad you like the music though.
