    In this video we take a Ford F250 Super Duty that has seen too many Canadian Winters and we give it a fresh lease on life. It is definitely not a rull restoration, we just wanted to make it live a little longer and look good while doing it. We give this thing a cosmetic make over and completely transform the look of this truck. A lot had to be replaced, some fenders, it has a new truck box, and some rocker panel repair. Once the rust and rot was cut out the entire truck was sanded down. We sprayed primer on any exposed metal and anything that wasn't the right paint color. To get the two tone paint scheme we masked off the upper part of the truck so that we only got gold paint on the bottom of the truck, then we did the reverse of that masking and painted red / maroon on the top half of the truck. After we had both colors of paint on the vehicle we sprayed clear coat over the entire truck. The finished product looked great and even better when reassembled!
    We have another project coming out next week so keep an eye out for that!

    Sounds like FORD is equivalent to BOEING when it comes to 'easily accessible for maintenance' 🤣
    Love the paintjob, nice lines!

    My brother is a mechanic and charges double his shop rate for labor if someone brings in a Ford. In his words "They circled the problem right on the front (Ford Emblem LOL)". That said, you guys did good work, I would have chosen a different model to begin with, but hey! You probably got a steal of a deal on it!

    Holy smokes...! I just semi-retired my 2012 F-250, and I was worried about some rust in spots, but it is nothing at all like this. After seeing this video and other videos here on UA-cam, I guess I don't have much rust at all. Wow...!

      Oh all we do is deal with rust haha. Some of these vehicles should be put out to pasture, but sometimes we can give a few extra seasons

    It still looks cold up there! I myself wouldn't have wasted that much time on a Ford as well. Regardless, it turned out MUCH better in the end and will make for a solid work truck. Keep hustling and doing quality work. In no time, you guys will be upgrading and expanding. Be well!!

    • @RustedRides
      @RustedRides  5 місяців тому

      Yep still cold. We had a warm spell, but back to cold again. It would make a great work truck, runs well, solid where it needs to be, and at least now it looks good. Thank you very much for the encouragement, it can be a lot of work to turn these videos around every week haha. But we are enjoying it and glad others are as well!

    Hey just discovered your channel. I have been DIYing body work for about 3 years now. Some tips and tricks I have learned. Before you paint broom out your area and spray water on the floor it helps with dust. Also a cover all paint suit from local hardware store helps out, maybe $16. Just helps keep dust down.

    • @RustedRides
      @RustedRides  4 місяці тому +1

      Ya we've wet the floor before. Woukd be nice to have a few paint suits. I've also seen some UA-camrs using positive pressure full face masks!! Must be nice!

    awesome video the editing is top notch i can tell yall are putting alot of effort into these, what kind of welder are you using when you cut out the rust on the door and re tack a new piece?

    • @RustedRides
      @RustedRides  5 місяців тому

      Hey, thank you! Yes we are putting in a lot of work both on the cars and on the videos. Glad you recognize that, really appreciate the comment. The welder is a Lincoln 180 mig welder

    After tack welding (is that what it’s called?) what’s the next step to get the pieces welded in to stay together?
    Also, do rocker panels have anything to do with structural integrity of the frame?

    • @RustedRides
