Killer work! Black is one of the hardest to colour match as it shows so many imperfections. Cam did a stellar job on this! Killer metal and bodywork as well. That Tim guy tho, I think he needs to pickup the paintgun sooner or later. 😊
Thank you! Yes black can be very tricky! And Tim will definitely have to get on the gun at some point! He has done some furniture spraying in the past!
Hey thank you! Glad to have both of you watching the videos! It's nice when you can share in hobvies and interests. My wife doesn't like cars the same way I do, but she'll watch the odd video with me....and she watches all of our vids haha
Have you guy discovered SEM trim paint yet? For these late 90s early 2000s cars that have lots of gray and black plastic the stuff makes it look almost new and it's a permanent fix unlike the trim restore stuff they sell at the parts stores.
Ya, we both love working on cars. Cam is better with cars than I am and I am better with the cameras/editing than cam is. But I've done a few rebuilds too. And Cam does set up the cameras for shots when I'm not around. We launched this together and try and share the work load
I dunno, right at 3:32 you can see he spent time cleaning that rust out. The removal wasn't on the video, but if you pause right before he mounts the panel you can see the rust dealt with for the most part. Same at 2:41
There is no rust converter or anything applied to the bare metal or anything done to prevent the rusted metal from further rusting. He is just covering up the rust damage and there’s a reason it’s called cancer it will be back in a couple of years rusting. The customer will be back pissed off about the crap quality of the repair!!!
So cool you were able to make that from a shelf! Very resourceful!
Thank you! Sometimes you just have to use what you've got!
Came out super nice, you do great work Cam
Making patch panels is the disappearing skill. Excellent work.
It is! Love watching metal working videos. There are a few channels with some super talented metal shaping guys

Thank you! And thanks for the other comments as well. It is nice when you can find material to help save money!

There isn't much crown on those panels, so I was a little worried about how the lap welding would work out, but that turned out nice.
Both of you are talented good body work and good producing and editing. My girl like your channel too.

what are you using for the patch panel
For this one it was sheet metal cut out of old shelving!
@RustedRides yeah as soon as I hit the button to send my comment, you told what you were using. But it was to late. Thanks for responding. God bless
Are you the producer/camera man and cam is your friend that paints or what?
