this song has helped me so many times with my depression...
After so many years I am still here listening to it.. I don't always come to check it. There are some special moments when I just remember that there is this masterpiece. That day can be either good or bad and exactly that's the point. That's why this is so special for me. It's there for me when I need it so much.

One of the best transitions from electric to acoustic I have ever heard..
You do something that i haven't seen bands to so easily as you do. I listen to your metalcore and i love it and i blast it into my ears with a smile on my face, but then i find an acoustic album and thought "meh i'll give it a shot" and all i can say is wow, its incredible.
You are able to play and convey a single song in two completely different but two beautiful ways and for that i believe you are a band i will continue to listen to and recommend to as many people as will listen.

I have honestly never heard an album like this...so clean, and just inspiring. You guys always keep it fresh by continually releasing albums on a more frequent basis, that's what I like most. I appreciate all of the energy and time spent, both acoustic and non-acoustic. I hope to catch you guys at a show soon, keep up the hard work, it will all be worth it.

Exactement la même. J'ai vraiment eu du mal à l'époque où leur premier album était sorti. Le post-hardcore mélodique leur sied à merveille, et puis "Dark Storms" à l'acoustique c'est le pur régal !
Je suis on ne peut plus d'accord, l'acoustique est vraiment merveilleux. L'apport du piano rajoute une touche vraiment émotionnelle !

C'est sûr que les versions acoustiques apportent quelque chose d'autre, mais j'aime beaucoup aussi les versions originales. Il faut qu'ils continuent à faire les deux styles pour dégager toutes les émotions possibles!

I like all their music. However, this acoustic album seems powerful to me. Like, they've always had great voices but their voices are so strong here, without all the noise that sometimes can drown out their voices. I love the Same Old War song but snap. This acoustic version just like... blows the regular one out of the water. Music is a spiffy thing.
I believe that the reason for it being more powerful than the regular version is the fact that all the words are at a slower pace so the listeners can fully understand the meaning of the song. It is also better for some because the calmer singing allows you to relate to the band members, unless you're constantly screaming and you connect with them more that way.
When you put it that way, it makes sense. Even if you can sing along with them at their usual pace, you can't fully grasp the meaning sometimes. This way you can relish the words, and focus more fully on them. I think though, whichever way you connect, is good for you.
Glacierstar0Saph I agree because you can enjoy artist's music as much as you want but if you can't connect with them then people are just listening to noise not music.
I agree. I like to think that music is something to enjoy not just as noise but something to connect with. Having something to just fit almost every situation helps soften some of the harder ones if only a little.

I love that you came out with an acoustic version of this album, I love both versions. The heavier one is my favorite, but when you're in a relaxed mood you put on the acoustic version of your favorite songs and it's just that much better. Good work guys, you're one of my favorite bands!
