You need to do a mini-series on fishing at private golf course ponds! They are seriously overstocked with monsters and the fun part is you can get chased in a kind of Caddyshack scenario, totally golden content just waiting like a lunker bass

I remember this one.. it was fun again.. We used to fish for blues out off the Oregon coast back when I was young.. incredible fighters they where.. once in a while we would see a great white as they would come up the coast when the warm currents flowed to get the sea lions at the grotto.. Never caught one and am very glad we didn't.. they were huge! as they said in Jaws.. I think we would need a bigger boat.. thanks for that memory Ty.. Always a great crack following shrimp boats. Put anything with a hook on it and you will catch something. And those black tips are like trash cans. You find all sorts in their stomachs.
@@TyPigPatrol Ive caught 8ft 400lb Bronze Whalers off the shore in Namibia and they test every bone in your body (Id advise every angler to try that once) but its so much fun bringing in a 4-6ft black tip on a med to heavy inshore spinning rod. Tho when youre not trying to catch one theyre a pain in the arse lol

I caught my first fresh water eel last summer. I didn't even know there were eels in the river I was fishing at, I was after catfish. Setup on the red river under a bridge and caught it. I didn't know what it was at first, freaky looking, especially when unexpected! About a foot and a half long. I didn't know they tested good though, do you fry them like catfish? Do you need to bleed them or anything?

That was so much fun to watch! Reminds me of when I was 14 yrs and fought a 30 lb barracuda took me 45 minutes to land it but my Dad gaffed it alongside the boat😢 made me sad as it was a beautiful fish
I have a similar story. Me and a buddy were largemouth finish and he had just tied on a new Jimmy Houston red crankbaits and on his first cast hooks about a 5ish lb bass. He gets it to the side of the boat and pop. He said he messed up his knot and it slipped. I said don't worry buddy I will get your lure back as a joke. On my first cast ( using a rubber worm) I land the same 5lb bass and this time we land the fish and got his lure back. All of this took place in about 30seconds. One hungry bass I guess. Lol
BTW, just wanted to say, my favorite vids with you are the monster LM Bass. The biggest I ever caught was 19lb 7 oz and I was 14 years old and caught it in a small lake outside of Souhegan Maine. The problem is it was never recorded. My dad put the fish into a huge live well he made on the boat dock then made the call to get it documented and what I thought was the police. All I heard was "they would be there in the morning". Well I felt bad for the fish, not realizing the implications, got out of bed at around 3 am, went to the live well, got the fish and let it go! I never saw my Dad so angry! On the way home I asked him why are we driving home in a new car? He said the other was broken so he had to rent this one! I didn't find out until years later he beat the Sh out of our car with a log splitting ax. Those were the day's. Ya see! Thats why I like your channel. You bring back some of the best memories I've had in a long, long time. Thank you young man for bringing a well needed tear to my eye. You Sir "ARE" real! And lastly he never new how the Bass got out!

Those sharks go CRAZY behind shrimp boats. My son fell out of the boat behind one when we were fishing and he is 6'2 and looked like flipper jumping back in the boat. LOL
Lures all lost or broken and lines twisted from spinning drag on a coffee grinder. Head back to the dock or let the line out behind the boat to untwist it and try slow trolling the remains of the snake lure. Answer carefully as it determines your character. It's all about lure action, color,flash and being in the right place. On the flip side almost a half century ago my brother and I were fishing trout at a lake. He returns with a deep sea rod with a big conventional reel and iron jig. All the old timers were getting a good laugh. Well he fires off a huge cast. In the air forever and then plop with no backlash. On cue the glassy water erupts in a massive strike. A fully saltwater depth charge tuna slam in a lake. Then it was quiet. No laughter,no screaming drag. Just a shoreline of slack jawed people all thinking the same thing. It was so far out there it was hard to say if it was trout,bass or Loch Ness monster. My brother made several more casts with no success while everyone hucked big stuff as far as we could. My brother put the Big Rig back in the car and life returned to normal. Pretty sure anyone there that day still remembers that moment. When you try different things... different things happen.

I never proof read my comment and it snuck by me. Please accept my apologies. Never the less this happened 50 years ago and I was a KID! The bass could have weighed 10 grams, or 100lbs, the point is, it was a memory that I treasured. Now it means nothing. Here in my country - Denmark - we sometimes catch big fish by using freshwater fish, as lures to catch saltwater fish.....have you ever tried that (or the other way around). Tiny perch is good for salmon - fresh/salt....and herring is good for pike - salt/fresh....!!!

I'm sorry but there is a 0% chance you caught a 19.5 lb bass in Maine. That's not possible with northern strain bass.

Here in my country - Denmark - we sometimes catch big fish by using freshwater fish, as lures to catch saltwater fish.....have you ever tried that (or the other way around).
Tiny perch is good for salmon - fresh/salt....and herring is good for pike - salt/fresh....!!!
