He gets it to the side of the boat and pop. He said he messed up his knot and it slipped. I said don't worry buddy I will get your lure back as a joke. On my first cast ( using a rubber worm) I land the same 5lb bass and this time we land the fish and got his lure back. All of this took place in about 30seconds. One hungry bass I guess. Lol

BTW, just wanted to say, my favorite vids with you are the monster LM Bass. The biggest I ever caught was 19lb 7 oz and I was 14 years old and caught it in a small lake outside of Souhegan Maine. The problem is it was never recorded. My dad put the fish into a huge live well he made on the boat dock then made the call to get it documented and what I thought was the police. All I heard was "they would be there in the morning". Well I felt bad for the fish, not realizing the implications, got out of bed at around 3 am, went to the live well, got the fish and let it go! I never saw my Dad so angry! On the way home I asked him why are we driving home in a new car? He said the other was broken so he had to rent this one! I didn't find out until years later he beat the Sh&# out of our car with a log splitting ax. Those were the day's. Ya see! Thats why I like your channel. You bring back some of the best memories I've had in a long, long time. Thank you young man for bringing a well needed tear to my eye. You Sir "ARE" real! Those sharks go CRAZY behind shrimp boats. My son fell out of the boat behind one when we were fishing and he is 6'2 and looked like flipper jumping back in the boat. LOL

Lures all lost or broken and lines twisted from spinning drag on a coffee grinder.
Head back to the dock or let the line out behind the boat to untwist it and try slow trolling the remains of the snake lure.
Answer carefully as it determines your character.
It's all about lure action, color, flash and being in the right place.
On the flip side almost a half century ago my brother and I were fishing trout at a lake.
He returns with a deep sea rod with a big conventional reel and iron jig. All the old timers were getting a good laugh.
Well he fires off a huge cast.
In the air forever and then plop with no backlash.
On cue the glassy water erupts in a massive strike. A fully saltwater depth charge tuna slam in a lake. Then it was quiet.
    No laughter,no screaming drag.
Just a shoreline of slack jawed people all thinking the same thing.
It was so far out there it was hard to say if it was trout, bass or Loch Ness monster.
My brother made several more casts with no success while everyone hucked big stuff as far as we could.
My brother put the Big Rig back in the car and life returned to normal.
Pretty sure anyone there that day still remembers that moment.
When you try different things... different things happen.

After a comment from Engineering Hookset I realized there was a typo in my comment. The way it was supposed to have read was "! 9.5lbs !" not 19. So Mr. Hookset you are correct. I never proof read my comment and it snuck by me. Please accept my apologies. Never the less this happened 50 years ago and I was a KID! The bass could have weighed 10 grams, or 100lbs, the point is, it was a memory that I treasured. Now it means nothing. Thanks bud for putting me straight! avb FOOTNOTE: Another lesson learned, "don't comment any more, it's not worth the heart ache! And BTW the record LG Bass caught in Maine was "! 11.10oz !" at Moose Pond in 1968 a friend of my Grandfather!

Here in my country - Denmark - we sometimes catch big fish by using freshwater fish, as lures to catch saltwater fish.....have you ever tried that (or the other way around).
Tiny perch is good for salmon - fresh/salt....and herring is good for pike - salt/fresh....!!!
