I was kayak fishing a few years back in south Dakota, orman dam, and hooked into what I think was a lake sturgeon, could have been a musky I suppose, either way it was large enough to pull me along as though I had a trolling motor!! Very exciting and intimidating at the same time.. needless to say, he wouldn't have fit in the yak... I had to cut it loose before I was able to get a good look at what it really was because I was close to capsizing.😩.. fun fish story🤠.. seeing that sturgeon pull you along the bank reminds me of how awesomely powerful those prehistoric fish are!! 🐟🙏🍻
Incredible! I write from Spain and I'm only able to say WOW!!!!!!
Glad to see you out here in the Great Northwest, I was aware of the sturgeon going up small creeks in Idaho but I have never seen them run up creeks like that in Oregon or Washington, they usually stick to big rivers or at least medium sized rivers. They are so cool to watch jump out of the water which they just do for no known reason. Just think they get WAY Bigger than 6 feet.
They jump it acts as a form of communication amongst them
Nice, good to see barbless hook & successful release! Nice spot!
Thank you very much!!
What an amazing time for sure. GREAT JOB MAN!
That was the coolest way to catch a big fish like that!!! Awesome guys!
Dude!!! This video was absolutely insane. Unreal bro - congrats on that fish and what a sick place!
Awesome how you saw trout as you were walking with that big fish, lol
Haha thanks for watching!
That is epic! I hooked into one that was a bit over 3 foot in the CT river up here but it quickly got away. Still got the heart pumping though. Can't imagine the fight from one that size
That’s Super cool! Thanks for watching!
Thought the thumbnail shot on your utube video of the shadow of the fish was bogus until I watched the rest of this dream fishing spot. Uk watching your great channel.
Good video! Barbless and concerned care. Well done.
