LIVE LAMPREYS vs. SNAKE LURES FISHING CHALLENGE
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Discovering a couple of live eels in my local river, I quickly caught them to see if they were good fish bait. I also just so happened to have ordered 3 snake lures from BassProShops so decided to fish live eels and snake lures side by side to see which was more effective. The results surprised me!
Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

These are actually lamprey. They are probably a native species.
SWEET!
8:54 bro you touched poison Ivey 😂
Those are lamprey and they might be invasive depending on where you are
@@KristenHH h BBCh h
Been watching you for awhile now! Keep up the good work Ace! Love you!
this is so sweet
We use lamprey in Alaska to catch burbot. I believe, once or twice a year lamprey have a migration/spawn. They allow us to net them for bait fish. Love the video Ace!
I would like to see this
One time, I caught a bluegill on a helgrammite, but it was not hooked-the helgrammite had ahold of the fish with its pincers, so the HELGRAMMITE caught the fish
Probably the weirdest fishing story I’ve got tbh
thats actually insane
Thats pretty cool
"He's a snake slurper!" -Ace videos 😂💀☠️
Been watching for YEARS now, ur the best👍👍🔥❤
First off I don’ even know that you will see this but in case you do Ace! First off thank you for what you do and for keeping what you do Godly, clean, and kid friendly,. My 7 year old daughter and I watch your videos together. She always tells me to turn on ace! Also I pray that God blesses everyday.
I absolutely love your videos. My siblings and I go on a camping trip every year around this time and we watch your videos every year before we go. Your videos have helped us develop a tradition which is something I absolutely love and appreciate
That is fantastic!
I love these vids!! You should do more!! Like a artificial fish vs a real fish!!
finally a new ace video
Love the setup.. Shimano allday
Love your videos ace! Ive watched them all, you can say I’m somewhat addicted to your content and energy 😂❤
A big lamprey tastes very nice when smoked.
Lamprey pie is also good.
“Look at that mushroom” grabs the poison ivy to see it lol
You should use that metal barrel as a homemade bass trap or crawdads trap!👍👍👍
Thanks for the amazing videos Ace!!
Sweet another High Adventure Video🎉
Cool, love lures vs natural baits! Did this myself the other day with worms, and just managed to catch with the lures 😅😂 awesome video!
Love when that line screams. Why line is that? Need to get me some.
its not the line its the real the real is called a cornono dc baitcaster
1:20 he slipped and almost said lamprey. So he must have known 😂 cool vid nonetheless
Yo Ace you should do another collab with KG
nice imagine using this up north you'd probably catch monster pike or musky lol
C'mon Ace we all want longer videos!!!
Those lampreys are in the creek spawning. The young are important forage for everything. Try dropping them in the lake at night for stripers
I was looking in your channel to see if you uploaded and now the notification came in and i was happy because i wanted to see some fishing
It's not an eel it's a parasite called ,,Minoga" in Poland🇵🇱
That's why the Bass don't want him.
Greetings from Poland bro, nice videos👍🏻
Ace i love you keep up the good work i love you man
Hellgrammites are some of the best bait to use in my area on the new river definitely would love to see u film some content on the new river
I have never tried snake lures...
maybe I should, it looks fun
Let’s go another banger make another vid soon there great
Nice job creating this video! Very interesting. Those snake lures seem awesome!
I just bought a few Savage Gear lures and I can't wait to use them. One is a really cool colored bluegill, one is a jointed swimbait that looks like a shad, and the last one is a 3D rat lure with a diving bill.
Whaz up home boy! Even a fail would be cool. Hellgrammites are great bait, fish are all over them, but they die so fast out of running water.
bro jus makes the best videos
What’s up Ace. That mushroom you saw was a Dryads Saddle, also commonly known as Pheasant Back. They’re best eaten on the smaller side with some butter
Lamps are nice to eat! do a catch and cook with some! 🙏
That looked like a pheasants back mushroom. It is edible when it is young, but when it gets to that size you saw it at, people say it is like chewing on leather. I do not see them here in Florida.
You should make fishing spoons with that bedroll love that snake 🐍
The “eels” you caught are sea lamprey, they are a invasive in the USA. They’re very destructive to the fish population in the Great Lakes and tributaries, destroying 40 plus pounds if fish within their life span(roughly 2yrs). They primarily feed on the blood of other fish(which makes them a parasite). They go into streams and rivers to spawn(which looks like you found them trying to spawn, its a good thing you put a stop to that). I have caught King salmon with lampreys still attached to the fish. If you manage to catch them/ pull them in on a fish its highly recommended to kill them(I prefer cutting them up).
They might be brook or river lamprey too, they don't have any parasitic behavior at all.
@@ossipozzi1238 from what I’m aware of all adult lampreys display parasitic behavior and most lamprey offspring normally filter feed until they aren’t capable of parasitic behavior. By all means I’m no expert and I could be wrong. However I’m going off of my knowledge that I’ve learned and articles that I’ve read.
Heck yeah buddy !
8:52 that’s pheasant back mushroom it’s very good fried in butter we used to have a stump in our back yard that had that and every year me and my dad would harvest it and cook it up and eat it eventually the stump got so rotten that it wouldn’t even grow on it anymore 😂
You should make you first cast seasoning by spicy and different seasonings like that
-Randolph
Ace if you see this it was nice meeting you at the dam today
I love your videos keep going ❤
Love your videos
Lamprey or Eel, my wife would murder me if I pulled either one out of a bait bucket 😂
Hey ace catfish absolutely love helgramites in the foothills of NC they eat them like candy
Hey Ace my day just got better thank you!!!
Excellent stuff man! Thanks so much!
Your the best. Also use the barrel as a turtle trap.
Just imagining the eel screaming to the fish that its a trap lol
Those mushrooms are called pheasant back and they are edible! You should make a video of morel mushroom hunting!!
Wow youre finally back. Missed ya brother.
Ace you are my favorite UA-camr I wish I could go fishing with you one day
Cool stuff 😎
I can wait to see you in Bentonville Arkansas
Those are actually nit eels but a type of parastic fish called a Lamprey! They have circular jaws for attaching onto fishing and eating them alive like a freshwater cookie cutter shark!
You’ll know if you caught a eel 😂 the teeth and strength of fight they give off is amazing and crazy. I caught a 3 foot one before and was terrified to take it off 😂
Cool video man!!!
Eel’s are great for cohbia or what we call lemon fish if your salt water fishing in the gulf or around South Carolina.
I wouldnt walk without waders in that river. I get ptsd seeing them in lake michigan, theyre huge
Yoooooo! Let’s get these fish up in here! Hoping to see you catch and fry some frog legs again.
Trying hard to find a big frog spot. I've found plenty of tiny frogs but not those big bull frogs that you can eat and enjoy! Thank you for the superchat.
I have geese. The gander charges cars in the driveway 🤣
Good nit!
@@AceVideosOfficial Right?! I feel so bad for the FedEx driver 🤣
If you use the tall of a crawfish with no shell on it bass bluegill croppy and pike love it
We use lamprey as pike bait in Scotland cut in half very bloody
Those geese are crazy. They keep barking for minutes after you walk away.
Nice one
Awesome video
“He’s a snake slurper!” 🤨🤨🤨
That's was and good one in Tennessee tge smallmouth have to be 18 inches to keep.
You are finally posting
Ace, I love the videos! Could you try going to Rhode Island to fish. Also that is by far the craziest way I’ve seen someone catch a fish.
love the vid Ace!! those i believe are brook lampreys not eels just a heads up
I caught my first fish of the year on Memorial Day. Also the biggest fish I've ever caught. A 17 1/2 inch small mouth, weighing in at about 2.75 lbs. That was exciting. I brought him home and cooked em' up.
Hello Ace! do you have tips on how to use a bait caster?
Please make videos more often
Hi I'm a big fan I watch all your vids
Nice
Sometimes can see holes in fish from lampreys eat them lampreys do go after people walking in water
Allergies getting you too this year huh? Im just as congested hahah awesome content as always man!!
You know you could always cook those eels.
they're very good spicy teriyaki over rice.
If you think geese are mean u need to see the western capercaillie 😂
Finally another Ace video! This video made my day, plus Im graduating today too!
The lampreys are great for sturgeon
Imagine not having notifications on 😂
Those are pheasant back mushrooms and yes they are edible. Some say they have a woody flavor and I’ve heard of people making vegan bacon with them. I alway find them whenever I hunt morels in the spring just never had the desire to eat them
awsome
Ace ypu were in my backyard! Not literally lol, but if you are interested I can put you on another body of water that is loaded with smallies. I'm guessing you were there Friday or Saturday because right now it's floaded and looks like chocolate milk.
love the channel
Come back to Idaho and catch a smallie on the Snake river using a snake.
Those mushrooms are called pheasant backs and they are edible
I have two Shimano DC reels, a Curado DC and a Metanium DC, and they both are unusable because the drag is really weak on them both. I don't know what to do about it.
nice vid
We’re you fishing at south Holston river?
Hey Ace, what reel are you using? That thing sings!
Love the content ace
Maybe you could use the eel as cut bait?? I wonder if that would make a difference?
Geese must like to make their nests on trails. maybe the sun hits the trails different & keeps the nest warmer no clue but I walked thru one by accident & stepped on some eggs. had to fight both parents out the woods. lost a shoe. very vicious indeed
Hey ace great video man.I have to get one of those snake lures could you leave the make and info on were I can get them.thanks.!😊☮️
No catch and cook today bro i was hungry
