    Love the visual. My son is a great hitter with lots of power. Unfortunately because he’s a good hitter he puts the first strike in play. And I have been really trying to get him to lay off some pitches. Thanks for the insight.

      Traditionally speaking: choke up, move closer to the plate an inch or so and expand the strike zone.
      Modern day teachings or more progressive styles: don’t change anything with grip or stance. Just expand the zone.
      It really depends on the type of hitter that’s up, their barrel control, where they hit in the line up, is anyone on base? If so is that runner fast or slow? What inning is it? What is my job currently at this point in the game?
      Lots of variables.

    That is what I am trying to teach my son. Find the part of the strike zone that he hits the ball the most consistently.
