*note* The tape length has nothing to do with the delay time, it's all about tape wear. The longer the tape length the less wear and longer it lasts. The delay time is the distance between the record and playback heads.
Arturia’s software emulations are really outdated by now. They sounded alright in 2015 but they’ve never ever sounded close to the originals. This sounds absolutely nothing like the original Space Echo.
Oh wow...now I'm gonna start recording some Reggae dub. ❤ Actually, Stewart Copeland of the Police used this on his drums as well. Really enjoyed this video. Great info here. Thanks.
On drums, really? Just asking as at least on the lower ends the RE-201 is very weak and - as all tape echos - far from linear. Further more, the unique flutter of the Space Echo kind of kills the precision of drum beats - so, what exactly did he use it on?
It sounds nothing like the Original Roland RE-201, I was actually shocked at how bad it sounds.
Like many things it’s re imagined! -.-
But they sold copy’s so it was a success!
Have you actually heard the BOSS Re-202? Many people claim it sounds JUST like the original Space Echo.
Good video. I have the Roland 501 model

While I dream of RE-20, Monotron Delay takes me closer to Roland´s spirit.
Agreed - the Monotron Delay is one of the best things you can buy for your studio for under $/£100
The KORG Monotron Delay - Roland's crowning glory

space echo video without proper space echo 😂😂😂 , please
Producer’s what? U don’t need to start throwing apostrophes around every time there’s an “S”
Thanks for pointing out the typo. Now fixed
If you doing a demo, use the original, not a crap-turia shitte!
Horrible ai voice. That arturia does not even compare to my 201. I did expect a lot better. Thx for the video.
BOSS RE-202 does however.
