- Fable 3 had a lot of DLC, mostly it was simple cosmetic packs such as the infamous dye pack, however there were some actual expansions worthy of note in there too.

Holy shit dude! I did not think you would take my comment seriously. You sir a man of the people.
I liked the idea, I couldn't find the comment to give credit so I'll just pin this.
You forgot the best part about the Understone DLC. After you go through the town and are heading up to the house you come across an arena that closes at both ends and wont open until you defeat all the enemies. However theres a surprisingly high chance when you enter the arena no enemies ever spawn die to a bug. Whats really fun is as soon as you enter the arena the game auto saves, and because you for reasons known only to god cannot manually load a previous save in Fable III, you are now eternally locked in the understone mob arena. You literally just have to abandon your character and restart the whole entire game from the beginning or give up and stop playing all together if this happens. This bug was known within days of the DLC being released yet well over a decade later it still remains unpatched, a literal game ending bug still exists in a DLC which Microsoft still has the audacity to charge real money for. Truly Lionhead's Magnum Opus.
Gamers in 2010: *YOU WANT US TO PAY FOR HORSE ARMOUR AND A BLACK DYE PACK?!* This is unbearable, extortionate even! How DARE you assume we’re just made of money! We’re going to cause a fuss about this to remind you devs and game execs that we demand this stops and you sell the whole game on release!
Gamers in 2023: Oh, £70 for the base game and needing to pay an additional £20 in order to use the colour blue? Yes dear, whatever you say.
The gamers of 2010 were right
If gamers in 2010 would have actually acted like this, industry would not be in such state as it is today ($70 for base game + $20 for cosmetics).
Ancient gamers from 2010 were not harsh enough.
@@theShoop The Strong Men created good times, the good times created weak men. Now we have the hard times.
Gamers in 2010 were the ones who called out the journos, gamers in 2023 are the ones who called them bigots.
@@GatorMilk
actually, the other way around. strong men had enough money to buy bullshit DLCs, whilst weak men turned to piracy to punish shitty game company practices.
Such a beautiful time in gaming when developers would strip out half a game to sell it back to you as DLC 😊
Haha fable 1 had more substance than fable 3 I miss the early - mid 2000's
Modern times are the worst of times

"The Fable 3 Expansions I Never Played"
Me: FABLE 3 HAD DLC?!
Never get over the fact that they had planned seven DLC, including going to the legendary Samarkin, and we only ever got two of them and they weren't even the largest ones.
Can you cite your source. I don't see anything talking about that.
Man, I love Fable 3. I'm not sure why, it's probably just because it has a lot of things I'd like to see in better RPG's like Skyrim, like entire real estate systems, families, relationships with NPC's. I know the game isn't really amazing, but it did have some amazing features that still aren't in a lot of AAA games today.
I love it, too. I've a lot of fun with the game (outside of the stupid Road To Rule).
I love the environments. The NPCs feel more realistic than previous games, as do their dynamics with each other. I loved 2s dynamics too, but 3 feels like it has real characters in a lived world.
Leveling up powers is a nightmare, as is buying things like ability to buy property and businesses.
The game has dependencies on multiplayer, so after closure of games for windows live, pc game has an unopenable demon door without mods.
Other than that, I love 3.
I tink Multyplayer in fable III is fantastic to... the ability to marryed other player or make buisness activity is very cool.
Fable 3 even with all of its flaws has one big advantage over 90% of other modern games today. Fable 3, like the previous two games, was made with soul and developers put their hearts in it. That’s why despite all of its problems, we still love Fable 3. Waiting for Fable 4 more than ever.
Well said
"Another revolution has failed. Perhaps it's as it should be. I don't know that I could ever have given up such power."
This line alone made Commander Milton a compelling antagonist. A revolutionary well aware of the fact that power corrupts and that he probably wouldn't have been able to resist giving in to flaws inherent to most humans.
Why communism never works
Commander Milton is also interesting in that if you're good, he's evil. He's not revolting for a cause, but because he hates the idea of monarchy in and of itself - not a stable reason to get rid of it.
The Five Star Dog Potion, just makes you get Full Friendship with the dog, which makes the dog find dig spots quicker, and practically never leaves your side.
Wait what the dog never leaves you're side anyways
@@zambekiller When treated badly, and it's friendship level goes below 0, the dog will sometimes just leave for a while, then come back. Most people don't notice it, since it often happens when in combat and usually the dog has returned before the combat has ended.
And do keep in mind the system is quite broken in many aspects. (The dog specifically bugs out a lot)
Why do you put the Professor back in prison lmao, have devs never heard of a hospital?
Your way of explaining the story with your own witty quips in between elevates the absolutely mid-tier game to the point I want to install it but then I remember it's Fable 3..
Understone is OK it can feel like a bit of a chore with the combat but I find the overall premise charming. Traitor's Keep is probably my favorite part of Fable III it's a bit weird as an isolated prison island but finding all of the secrets and hidden paths through the area is nice.
Plot twist is fun in Traitor's Keep. Even though the warning signs of the twist are there on the second playthrough, you don't really pay attention to them on the first go.
Understone could be utilised more, as in they could be part of the rebellion and our family could've been why they've been driven underground (beyond some guy thinking doom is coming). Say, we get explicit confirmation that the millionaire built the town to safeguard people from. The doom that Theresa unleashed after building and using the Spire. Still, a fun little section of the game, with added business opportunities XD
Challenge: if you haven't tried it then play a bit of dragon age origins
Fable 3 *I'm a king but I would rather roam around and help villagers*
I used to play this game as a kid because it was free with my xbox and the dlcs are great, understone keep is probably my favorite one. And btw the five star dog potion just makes your dog stronger and better at finding treasure lol
There's a hidden mechanic in this game called Primal. It (similarly to the Purity scale in Fable II) accounts for every choice the player makes that could be considered a form of corruption of ethics, such as having multiple spouses, cheating, whoring, heavy drinking and, of course, renting houses at abusive rates. So if you ever wonder why your maxed-out Good character has that sickly green-ish skin tone, there's your answer (High Morality, High Primal). Basically, the game acknowledges you breaking the economy through real-estate, even though the drawbacks are purely cosmetic (also your tenants will most likely hate you).
The most interesting thing was upgrading your weapons like the handles on your hero sword is bone from destroying lots of hollow men it can also get a arcane look if you use fireballs and i can only remember one more that you got for finding alot of treasure
Me: The game HAD an expansion?
Understone dlc was onl given to us cause the developers knew we all wouldn't be able to save everyone from the Crawler
God I miss Fable 3… My 360 died and I no longer have a way to play it. I wish it would just come to Steam.
If you have an xbox one and a physical copy of fable 3 you can play it there
I had never played the DLC until last year. I had no idea they existed so it was really nice having new Fable to play in 2022 even if some of it was lackluster. The traitor’s keep was actually super solid
Same here. How can I access the story expansion packs? I reinstalled the game and started but I don't know where to go : (
@@agentsmith6161 On which console? A Series X/S or an older one?
@@mattfarr137 I'm playing the pc version with all the dlc's unlocked (or at least that's what the uploader is saying!)
@@agentsmith6161 I did it on series X so I’m not sure how it’s done on PC, sorry bro!
@@mattfarr137 You can access the story dlc after you finish the game! I found it! No worries! Thanks anyway! : )
I have no idea why im here but i see fable. Me likey
I despise DLC that just adds an overdesigned, ugly-ass weapon and a tea kettle of understanding.
I remember seeing those mods for Morrowind back in 2004, who'd have thought they'd be officially released and cost money someday.
I'd rather that than having to pay for half the fawking game.
Poison balverines come from Fable II's See the Future
Even though Fable 1 unquestionably has the best DLC, to the point that TLC’s inclusion is considered the definitive edition, I will say that the thing 3 has over 2 is superior DLC.
Mostly the Traitor’s Keep story, which was interesting and well done and the same is true of Understone. Knothole Island and See The Future weren’t anywhere near as interesting as stories, I’d even say their quests were shockingly bad, composed of repetitive gameplay and poorly designed quest areas that just reuse assets from the base game. The only thing STF has going for it is the final prophecy Theresa gives you where they foreshadow the events of Fable 3. The items in 2’s DLC were what you were really going for with lots of additional weapons and armour sold through the island or Murgo, which was actually a decent way to incorporate the items into the world. For 3, there are a lot more DLC items but you just get them from the store and then have them, it’s nowhere near as well established or built into the world.
So if you’re looking for some decent additional stories, 3’s DLC is the superior collection. But if it’s items you want, then 2 has the standout ones imo.
I mean, you can dress up as the Master Chief and wield an Energy Sword from Halo in Fable 2. Can you do that in Fable 3? I rest my case. 🙃
I guess a Fable 2 DLC video will need doing, too.
@@Fizhy If you do, you should play through the main story again and choose one of the other wishes. Knothole Island lets you bring your Dog back to life if you sacrifice the life of a random villager, which really makes the second wish even more redundant. I say this now because you only find that out after the fact lol.
Dye dlc... Or know as modern day... Not scummy enough as they now charge per color per piece.
I'd love to download the traitor's keep and understone but unpopular opinion: The dye pack is something that should have been in the base game because I want black hair. We're literally the only one of our family with brown hair and that's what bothers me 😭💀
i never understand the player home in the middle of nowhere thing, I'd much rather lord my wealth over everyone in town.
I remember the first that Fable 3 was talked about and how ambitious it was for most of it to be thrown away. I wish we will see a Fable 4 returned to form like 2 as it was the best out of the games.
funny thing i learned after beating fable 3. i kept all of the promises and had no gold in the coffers for defending the people at the end game, so everyone died. but that's completely fine because when you do any kind of job THE GAME SPAWNS IN NPCS TO CLAP AT YOU. So you just do this at each job site in each city and bada bing bada boom you have a fully stocked world again
Or you could just co-op with another save on another account on the xbox and get them all back that way. I remember doing that.
If I remember correctly the free game contect was like a preview of the dlc it let you do the first mission from said dlcs
It also let you keep netplay compatibility with people who DID have them.
Which was extra annoying when people didn't even bloody bother.
@@KopperNeoman facts still have this problem
The "free game content" is an outdated pack of the content you can still get for free individually
Once you become the king/queen .. the guards don't attack you if you murder the town
F3 has got some amazing DLCs.
Fable is like my-first-rpg with beginner training wheels for babies. Everything is a tunnel
Reading the title: Fable 3 had expansions? I knew about the shitty dlc's but never knew it actually had new quests/content
"if you've ever taken psychedelics and been to a big asda you'll know what he's on about"
Yes I do fizhy... Yes I do 😅
“Economy crashing simulator” LOL yeah pretty much. I wonder if that glitch still works where you set your console back like 100 years and basically crash the game with the amount of money you get.
I bought every piece of Fable III DLC one week after getting a lot of overtime sometime about 3-4 years ago.
Not paying attention to how much was actually in my checking account, I ended up overdrafting to the tune of $300 because each >$1 sword and tattoo pack came with a $30 overdraft fee i wasn't aware of.
So... Ye... My enslavement to the series is showing for the fact I dont even regret it now.
Uh, if you care: You can get Fable 3 alongside all the, including the non-buyable ones(I think), through more illicit means. And since you can't actually get fable 3 on pc anywhere, buying that is, I think it's considered abondonware and not necessarily a issue legality wise.
Though they sell Fable 3 codes for pc on Amazon
I believe everyone becomes your friend if you beat the game as a benevolent king. Also the house was a preorder bonus
Are you going to talk about Fable 1? I still think that game is a pure classic and has a good story.
Yes
A game and DLC so memorable that I completely forgot I even bought the Understone DLC back in the day. Yep, really left an impression...
Everyone had that beard
10/10 for Keith.
il be honest, the prion and understone should have been in the game already and second, WHERE THE FUCK IS ATLANTIS??! YOUR HERO SHOULD HAVE BECOME A GOD IN THE END!! am sorry to inform you but, the shooting range and reavers wheel are based game content.
Just found this channel and binged a bunch of ur videos and love them what luck you posted today too
Kinda wish they just added them as free updates😂😂 and now going back and playing it I have The Traitors keep DLC for free😂😂. Tha wqw my complaint when the game came out but otherwise still enjoyed it. Fun additions and some stuff I wish they left in but otherwise a fun game.
So the free content, is two melee weapons, 2 long-range weapons, a tattoo set and a hair set, as well as I think there might be some free clothing in there too.
I'm speaking the way that I am because I'm pretty sure if I say the names of the items the comments will get removed.
UA-cam.
And the reason the five-star dog pack exists is apparently in some circumstances the dogs can't max out to five stars, there's some weird random glitch to wear even if you give them all of the books they don't fully max out.
So that potion was created with the intent of fixing that issue.
yknow that no death thing, sure it takes away your progress towards getting stronger when you die. But it has also taken away the need to get stronger, frankly as lame as it would be losing gold would have more meaning than losing your guild seals. You need gold to get more gold to win because you need money, power, and probably women to get the ending based on your morality. As I recall you have the option to give away your treasury to help solve the economic crisis which won't actually help but might make it easier for a while, while real jobs are made. Anyway that's all for the algorithm.
I usually pin the rise of "Should've been in the base game" DLC on 8th gen consoles. But in hindsight, Fable 3 may've been ground 0 for it.
we get it "you cant die" 😂
Honestly, I wish they would re-release this game on PC so that the fans can finally, FI NA LY fix the game.
I've played all the DLC... am I weird for that?
Ah yes the let me buy your house and then you can pay me the king rent on Xbox I was a loan shark and invested into other people's world I get 50% of there rent in definitely or they have to buy my share of the house later on one by one either way I make huge profits
As much hate as fable 3 gets, I really loved the game when it came out. I remember skipping school in high school to play the game on release day and how much magic the game had at the time.
I didn't even know there were expansions 😮
😂😂😂😂😂 mate me either
In your defence they didn't expand an awful lot.
😂😂😂
5 star dog pot was basicly just to max out your dog so you didnt have to find the books like "dig 2" 3 4 etc.
I bought the dlc played Revers mansion and the game glitches and the doors never opened trapping me inside
It also saved me in there post glitch so I couldn't even just reload it.
I got so mad I never played fable 3 ever again.
1:42 greed, thats why.
I thought Understone sounded ok. I wish I could buy Fable 3 on pc.
Make a fable 2 dlc video as well
I loved fable 3.
Next vid Fable 2 DLC? Knothole Island is amazing, it's my fav expansion after Blood and Wine.
Ngl the Fable 3 DLC's are kinda sad.
So let me get this straight, a prison level (which came free in the first two games), a shooting range (which came free in the first two games), and a repeatable arena which you guessed it, was standard in the first two installments. What a shit bunch of dlcs
I would have paid and extra dollar to get rid of the house condition when you rent
So....I have a feeling those color coded hobbes were a reference to Warhammer by GW namely Blue and Pink Horrors. Basically they do the exact same thing as these hobbes
They are all pretty much balls. All the DLC's are balls, which is why I downloaded this game and all it's DLC's for free off the internet.
i wish more people that like things that people dont like had these kind of reactions instead of acting like its amazing
Honestly Fable 3 DLC is as good as TLC was for the first game, I really like what they did with it. Love the weird zoo and the coloured hobbes
You're like if Hobson had been a property baron who bought the kingdom out from under the king.
I have never played these particular expansions and apart from their names had not looked into the content. Being fully taken with the Fable series back in the day it was alway something which naggat me that I hadn't fully explored the final game. However the continued practice of expecting full payment up to and beyond 10 years after the game was released I chose not to. I thank you for making that sacrifice for me as the charm of the series has worn somewhat over the years & I doubted I'd ever experience it.
Oh wow. I remember the underground dlc. I recall enjoying it but who knows.. so long ago
Yeah, these didn't make it for PC. Nor did Fable 2...
If you guys dont like landlording then dont play it ? This game is so old now its like who are you even talking shit about it for ?
You eat paint chips as a kid? Negativity gotten you far in life thus far? You must be a blast at parties...
Understone dlc had a game breaking bug which killed the game, good times.
lmao! didnt kno id be hearing the words "Disco Hobbs"
I suppose that it is just insult to injury at this point but the dye pack and dog pack went free to access on PC some time after release.
well I've played that game and actually you can die so no you're not invincible. because that's not how games work
