Unlocking tutorial spells should be counted to same non-degree as using Shouts in Skyrim runs.
Yeah alot of people seem to feel that way
@@Nerbit13098 i feel like if you have the ability to glitch past it and or just not using it if possible
The spells in this game are also gauntlets, and could be seen as equipment rather than skills.
Or the rad roach in fallout 3
the funny thing is when i see someone do a no magic run and they use shouts. always some people getting into if they count since shouts can be absorbed as if they were magic.
Ah Fable 3. The one where I spent most of my time working a job at the blacksmiths and Keeping my tenants houses repaired because the crackheads living in them can reduce it's quality to shambles over the course of two hours.
I remember as a kid being *amazed* at how your basic weapons change visually as you level up, and those changes are based on how you've played.
Now I know enough about games to understand it was just some preset parts shared with the unique weapons, and which part you got was randomly chosen from a pool based on mundane things like how many times you'd used a spell.
Sometimes I miss the magic of being a kid who didn't know how games work behind the screen.
On the one hand, I enjoy exploring online wikis of some of my childhood cRPG games to see what things I never discovered. On the other, it indeed sometimes removes the magic.
I hope that mechanic comes back in the next game, but instead of randomly choosing one look, if you’ve fulfilled multiple things that can change your weapon, you choose what it can look like.
You can still enjoy it, ya just have to immerse yourself in the game. It's easier as a kid, but us adults can still do it. We just have to remember that we can't play quite as long.
@@IamaPERSON Imagine thinking there will be another Fable game.
@@TheGreatDanish but there really is gonna be a new one. Look up the Fable 4 trailer.
Despite it's issues, this game was one my favourites growing up, miss being young and playing this with my siblings.
Agreed, and even after growing up, I still enjoy it.
I loved playing this game with my brother
fr and since im an adult now i finally figured out how to get to the good ending. all you gotta do is buy and rent out every property in the game and wait forever:) boring but fulfilling knowing i finally beat the game the way i’ve always wanted.
It's also fun stalling the game out so you can be the best king through baking pies and collecting rent
Same here. I miss playing it. Wish I could on PC. If only it was on steam.
Fable is that wonderful series that I love playing despite every game being summed up by "wasted potential"
I agree. I believe Fable 2 is the middle man of the game series and I find myself coming back to that one
@@InsomniacFlaaffy I always go back to TLC, simple gameplay, fun quests and world, plus I can beat the entire game in an hour and 20 minutes
As far as I'm concerned, while you fail the strict definition of the run, the spirit of the run is more important.
Bro I loved “Become the only landlord in Albion, become a master blacksmith, master the lute, and bake the shit out of some motherfucking pies to buy the good ending.”
Fable 3 in a nutshell
@@dickgrayson9413 No shit. Its called a summary of the plot to the game.
For me I did get everything and it took about 20 hours of the computer running just to accumulate about twice the gold you need to get the all survived ending.
Tutorial items/spells in games are "Base kit" They are the basics your character would have if the game started with no tutorial.
Tutorials are just Doc Mitchell giving you your items back.
That isn't a great description, as when the doc gives him the weapons he treats'em the same way. It's comparable to the vigor tester, as you are required to spend your points before moving on
Comparing Fable 3 to a child and then immediately going to "Can you beat Fable 3" is one of the openings of all time.
I remember being amazed at this game as a teen and my best friend playing it after me and going ".... really?" I get what he means now but back in the day it was fun, I didn't try to connect plot points nor was I aware of how to poke holes in some areas that would ruin immersion (fireball on the torch). I didn't have a lot of cynicism as a child which might explain my enjoyment.
20 seconds in and I'm already emotionally destroyed for being the third child, thanks Nerbit
I feel the same way
Same
Yeah... I know that feel
I want to agree and disagree because i am first second and third
You deserve it. :) First child here
As a middle child, that’s fair.
As a middle child, I disagree, I was a mistake and very flawed.
So I was Dark Souls 2
@@AtroposTE a dude in armour?
I was the first child, so I also agree.
@@decimation9780 Happy accidents unite!
@@AtroposTE i get what your sayin. lol
I enjoyed fable 3. Yeah, it was stupid that you could get the good ending (saving everyone) by just throwing money at the problem...also, you didn't fail. You unlocked a skill, you did not upgrade it. By getting fireball you added another skill that you can't level up (via upgrading)
„Two hits from me mallet” ah, the subtlety in referencing always makes me happy
For the chop suey reference alone, I feel old but also happy, and thus this video was already destined for greatness
So, this is "Fable 3 : ˇMurica" run:
1.Explosions (fireball) - check
2. Guns - big check
3. Money making - check
4. More guns - check.
I think this is the peak level of gameplay. Thanks, Nerbit!

Thats what I like to hear
I've been so excited for this upload! Fable 3 was a childhood game for me so this feels so nostalgic!
Fable 3 is complete ass trash, I feel sorry for you that you're Nostalgic for this.
I loved fable 2 growing up. One of my favorite games and still is. I played fable 3 for the first time last year and it was one if the most disappointing game experiences I have ever had. It's not even bad it's just that 2 was so good.
2 is great I always murder the families and leave the kids in crippling debt by buying there houses and raising rent which in turn lowers prices of weapons and equipment and items and I'll stock up on everything then go to the town over which holds my 5 wives in each corner of the map
I honestly agree I like 3, it's fun and I like playing it. But 2 was just so good
I started playing fable 1 when I was very young and played 3 when I was growing up and had the opposite experience, hearing everyone talk up fable 2 to find out that it is my least favorite fable games was a big let down.
agreed, in fact I'm gonna go play it now.
I remember getting the special edition of Fable 3. It was a big book with secret compartments and it came with a pack of fable themed cards, and a seal of fate flip coin. I was so disappointed when I finished the game in a few hours 😂 The time skips when you're preparing for the Darkness were awful, it starts going a day at a time then 7 days then 50 then 100 days have gone and its time for the final battle
I also have that book still on my bookshelf. Haven't even opened the cards. It really does feel like only half of a game.
Same. The coin was cool. Too bad this game was garbage. I hated how the game just devolved into "YOU NEED TO BE RICH TO WIN, HAVE FUN."
Also you do see striker again if you spare him, once in the final fight to the darkness, and once in the siege up to the castle. He will appear as well as various villagers you helped.
26:10 So, this must be an update to the game because in the version I played, Theresa admonished me for being nice and gave me demon wings. And when I did things Reaver's way, she praised me and gave me angel wings.
3:18 one coffin has level 1 character, the other has the master chief. they got married ❤🎉
It's irritating how I feel like you're advertising to me on a personal level. A chop suey AND an ultimate showdown joke? You're a legend
"And, much like children, the first one is a happy little accident, the second was planned yet a little flawed, and the third is a massive disappointment who most just try to forget."
Not in my "family"; me and my sibling are both accidents _and_ massive disappointments.

I can't believe you snuck an Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny reference in this. Stellar.
I appreciate the little reference to The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny you snuck in there
9:50 I didn’t expect that reference at all, but it’s absolutely welcome
As a third child, I can confirm, that intro is The Truth
Shoutout to the Ultimate Showdown reference at 9:50, brings me back lmao
9:50 that is what I subscribe to you for. The "blink and you miss them" jokes like that. You have such a talent with those.
I'm glad someone else cared enough to notice and comment on that one lol
And then there's me, who loves all 3 of the games equally
9:50 Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
I see you're a man of culture
9:49
A LEMON DEMON REFERENCE IN THE WILD!?!? I love this channel XD
"For now, me and Mr. White head off to Morningwood (Don't laugh)"
Morningwood is funny and I'm tired of pretending that it's not.
Can you beat Fable 3 with neutral morality?
Ooh, that’s seems pretty tough. I know there’s a few neutral choices throughout the game, but idk if that’s possible.
If the game forces you to spend a Guild Seal (like getting Fireball) then it should be an exception to the rules of the run.
Same with the first spell in Fable 2.
Also, there are axes in Fable 3 but they're really just hammers with wedge shaped bits for the hurty part.
Edit: I liked the sword called Mr. Stabby. Gain money and evil morality each time you land a hit.
The mustache, metal gear solid joke was very funny. Good work.
Saw right though your disguise? Crush their heads between your thighs? Is that a Ultimate Showdown reference?
To me, fable 3 felt like it tried to be too experimental, and the level up system felt more like it was designed more to give you options in combat rather than just straight buffs. Interesting idea to say the least.
That Ultimate Showdown reference was perfect.
That smooth Ultimate Showdown reference 🤙
For the festive content i give rate this video 17 chestnuts out of 2 beef wellingtons. Good job Nerbit!
First mandatory unlocks shoulod be counted as getting to your base level, i.e. you start at -1 Level and the tutorial "gives" you stuff by having you unlock it.
Holy cow the chop suey reference in the first five minutes made me laugh out loud. I was not expecting that joke. Love the vids
"... because even *we* can’t gain access to that ability..."
I guess Fable 3's main character is the magical dunce of the family. He can’t even use a single spell without magic gloves doing it for him!
One of the many things reconned for this game.
that opening joke had me rolling. good lord you're funny man.
The nostalgia. I played this sitj, little brother when it was on games with gold.
I loooove Fable 3 despite its flaws.
Thank you for this video, have a great day. I'll leave a sub lol
I really shouldn't love Fable 3 tho. Nostalgia hits hard lol
The ultimate showdown reference was clean. Well done 😂
Possibly my favourite of the 3 fable games, tied with 2. I do adore this series, thanks Nerbit.
There are more than 3 in the franchise.
As Christmas looms ever closer, I thought I'd re-comment my suggestion from the Jason Vorhees video.
Suggestion for a Christmas special!
Can you beat [insert game] as Santa Claus?
In a game that has player inventory and droppable items (like a Bethesda game), before you complete the game, you must decide who the "nice" characters are, break into their homes (or the nearest approximation of a home) and leave them a thoughtful gift, without getting caught.
Optionally, you could also leave coal (or a coal substitute) behind in the homes of "naughty" characters, and/or consume any milk and cookies (or other consumables) that the citizens kindly left out for you, Nerbit Claus.
The scope/number of characters you do this to, and the game the challenge takes place in is up to you!
And now I have the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny in my head 😂😂
the USDOUD reference was amazing
Nerbit nice ultimate showdown reference lmao
Nah, the real challenge of Mourningwood is keeping Jammy alive for as long as possible.
Maybe it's nostalgia but I actually enjoy this game a lot. It's a core memory for me.
Since you mentioned voice actors, I had a bit of an ideia for a new vegas run, to beat it as Liam o'Brien, you can only use weapons/techniques from characters that he has voiced.
Also maybe Yuri Lowenthal since he actually voices the male protag in screams.
But yeah everytime since I have found out these 2 voice like 75% of new vegas I cannot unhear it and I can only think about the voice of ben 10 and a league of legends character in the Mohave
Bonus points if you the kill people that have the voice of the person you are "using" since there can be only one (includes named and unnamed npcs)
I remember spending so long trying to finish Fable 2 and having so much fun doing so. Spent ages going through carefully planning things and thinking about my actions. And then Fable 3. 5 hours. Thats all it took for my 12 year old me to finish that. Like it took no time at all. And I think thats what upset me most, the fact that I beat it in one sitting.
Though of course the *other* things within the game were also disappointing. And this video brought it all back.
"I hope this is the festivy content you subscribed for!" he says, and I smile while looking at the Subscribed button.
Only to notice that I, for some baffling reason, was not yet subscribed! A sacrilege of the most heritcal kind, I beg your pardon my Lord Nerbit.
been waiting for this video! awesome
If there is no glitch around it and it’s impossible to progress, it doesn’t fail the challenge. Hand holding tutorials are the bane of challenge runs
Ah fable 3. A game i only enjoyed for one reason. One of the va's is doing a welsh acent. As a Welshmen that makes me happy
Fable 3. my first "This is awful. I love it" game and still one my favourites.
I know I'm late on this. But my take is that a proper run only starts when you have actual full character control. Tutorials like the radroach at the beginning of Fallout 3 fall outside of full character control.
As the third of three children, I 100% agree. My poor mom, three kids, three boys, mind you, born roughly 3 years apart. It must have been absolute mayhem for about 10 years in a row back to back.
“Variety is the spice of life… and the cupboard is empty” also they’re British… they invaded half the world for spices and decided to use none of them.
was honestly expecting you to put Abe Lincoln's Face onto the NPC's when you mentioned being able to enslave the town
I always pog for the ultimate showdown reference
You can donate your money to the kingdom's coffers, so I made a lot of pies for money and agreed to all the promises. Best of both worlds.
This is the only Fable I played when I was younger so this was fun to watch and remember playing it with my little brother :o)
Daddy nerbit, can you beat Fallout 4 while opposing smoking? Basically you use the junk jet (and name it something like "Smoking Kills") and only use packs and cartons of cigarettes as ammunition for it. Also when you see an npc smoking, you have to kill them. I think this could make for a funny run
I was expecting many things from a Nerbit upload.
A reference to "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" was *not* one of them. Well done, you classy human being!
"Did you learn anything from your adventures?" "I was supposed to learn something?"
I was not expecting an Ultimate Showdown reference, but I am very glad it’s there.
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN!
Of ULTIMATE DESTINY!
I love to see the 2nd and 3rd get a remake .
As the eldest of three: very accurate start there, Nerbit.
9:51 No... It couldn't be... an Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny reference? In 2022!? MADNESS!
I don't know what to laugh at 12:33, the Camp mccaran reference, the walter white, or the fact that one of the places in Fable 3 is literally called mourningwood.
I'm curious to see the next fable gaming coming and to see you do a level 1 run of it as well
Great video!, loved this game as a kid tho 😅
Lol what a niche reference "crush his head inbetween his thighs" THEN GANDALF THE GREY AND GANDALF THE WHITE, MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAILS BLACK NIGHT! 😂🔥🔥
Love the fable series especially using the camera controls
It's a valid run since the game forces you to use or perform a normally run restricted action. It's like saying you can't Knife-Only OG Resident Evil 2 Scenario B because you have to equip and cutscene Super Tyrant with the Rocket Launcher.
i cant imagine the slog of doing this XD i subbed
Nerbit, I gotta give you props for quality and consistency on your videos. Good on you for it.
"... I agree to every single promise I made, bankrupting the nation, and being loved for doing so."
Politics summarized in one sentence outtake from a Fable 3 challenge video.
A possible holiday themed run could be beating your Bethesda game of choice as Santa. Melee only, as St. Nicholas was known for throwing hands/ whacking people with a staff, and you have to reverse pickpocket a gift to every friendly npc you encounter at least once. The gift would have to be something appropriate though, like candy or a toy. Maybe it could be fun!
I'd say for future runs: Mandatory does not equal failed, since you had no choice in the breaking of the rules.
Nerbit you good sir are a bastard for making me replay these games again
(Playing the first on for the first time and loving it)
Okay, i love the Ultimate Battle of Ultimate Destiny reference.
Am I in the weird bracket of liking Fable 3 as much as I do? I haven't thought about this game in years and remember it so fondly but now I'm at a loss
Oh my god ultimate showdown reference fuck off i laughed so much
Oh yes, I've been waiting for this! 🙃
Nice song reference sir! Hilarious
I (and I assume I am not alone) are here because you try these ideas out, as long as you stick to the spirit of the challenge I'll (mostly) be happy you were successful.
9:49 Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny reference in current year? God bless
With any luck, Fable 4 will be here next year. Perhaps, if this reality is finally tired of torturing us, it will be good.
That SOAD joke was a lovely touch
