This is mind blowing content you are giving us. There's so much training for climbing content out there, but really expert level technique classes is so so rare. This is amazing Hannah!
I've watched a lot of climbing technique videos and honestly these ones are probably the most helpful ones I've ever watched. As a women who climbs predominantly with men I've be feeling my arm/shoulder strength comparatively feels like such a disadvantage. It's so nice to see good movement role models. I really hope to be able to put this into practice. Thank you for sharing.
As someone who wants to be more intentional and graceful on the wall (instead of just trying to pull through with muscles that I don't have), Be's concept of "choreographing your vertical dance" is fantastic! Thank you for this video, Hannah, it's so good!
This has to be some of the best educational climbing content on youtube. There are plenty of videos that go over principles and techniques, but very few that dig into the nuances that come with implementing those techniques to create efficient movement patterns on actual problems. Thank you so much Hannah, and Be, really wonderful work.
I'm not sure how much harder any of this stuff will ever make me climb, but as someone who's also kinda obsessed about such things like 'mastery', in that category this video is just pure gold that I'm sure to watch plenty of times prior to heading out doing whatever, just cool ways to think about climbing that I've played way way too little with :D
Really appreciate that! Be’s coaching has made me so much aware of the movements I’m making and the methods I’m choosing - I definitely notice myself consciously climbing after taking her mastery on board. It’s such a cool thing to notice after 7 years of climbing!
I feel like it'll certain help you sport climb better, and flash boulders better. Because you won't be trying dumb betas for the boulders. You'll probably still redpoint the same grades if you are good at projecting/exploring betas. Having good techniaue just lets you find good beta faster because you immediately discard bad betas instead of having to try them
I can't believe this was a 35 minute video because I was so engaged the whole time and I was left wanting so much more! It's so rich with educational content and yet the way you've put it together makes it really easy to understand. One thing I find pretty unintuitive is extreme overhang or roof climbing, because the direction of pull from gravity feels totally different, and it's much harder for me to work out the most efficient moves. Would love to see a video with you and Be on that kind of terrain. Thanks for putting this out Hannah!
Having had a few training classes at this gym with coaches who have been trained by Be, I can see her technique filter through. Body positioning and efficiency is so much more useful than brute strength.
Thanks pal! It seems like it would be really easy to think about whilst climbing but it totally turned my brain to mush the first few times! I am noticing it become more natural though :)
Beautifully produced video Hannah! Wish I had a climbing coach like Be constantly feeding me beta through an in ear mic or something haha. Definitely saving this one to a playlist again.
I have been feeling kinda down on my climbing after putting on some weight and going down a grade during the last lockdown but after watching this I am so psyched to get to the gym and do all these drills! It’s so awesome to have the techniques laid out with so much context. Drop knees have always boggled my mind but the pyramid and lever analogies make them so easy to understand. Thank you so much for this amazing content Hannah and Be!
Have been thinking of these triangles ever since I saw this video. And can say it’s really improved my last two climbs! Brilliant visualization technique. I try to see them when watching others climb as well.
These master classes are some of the best climbing content on the web. Looking forward to seeing practice sessions where Hannah does drills with the skills she worked on with Be. So great to see Hannah's progress!
A great follow up to last months video which inspired me to drill drop knees and inside flags. As Be mentions at the end it definitely feels less intuitive/harder to think about than "just climbing" but it's easy to see that some gains could be made with practice.
Like pretty much everyone else commenting on this video, I've found these masterclasses with Be so enlightening and can't wait to jump on the wall later today to try them out (and film my technique!), so thanks so much to everyone involved. I wonder if the reason people tend to subconsciously avoid the inside edge flag is that it turns you away from the wall/turns your back to the wall meaning you can't see as much of the wall, rather than a standard outside edge flag where you face the wall more and can see more of what's in front of you. Reminds me of the fear beginner snowboarders have with the backside carve compared to the front side - it feels less scary to face the mountain than to turn your back to it!
That's so so good content. We always hear about this technique but doing them at maximum efficiency is something else! Thanks for this amazing content Hannah!
Only watched the first 10 mins (gym rowing machine fodder) but had to say these are brilliant!! Loved the first one with B. This is exactly what my daughter and I need to keep in learning…every days a schools day 😀👍
Hannah I was hoping for the next part so much! I think what is the best here and what is different from other technique videos is that watching we really feel we are learning with you. Great great video!
Be's climbing is an absolute pleasure to watch. It reminds me of the super-classic Berhault's "dancing on the rock" video. Amazing content, exceptionally explained concepts on Be's part. Thank you for these videos!
I really enjoyed this video, and I want to add that I absolutely never leave comments under videos, but this one is definitely a gem. Thank you Hannah ! Would love to run into you guys in Fontainebleau one day. Cheers !
One of the best climbing technique videos I’ve seen. Finally, things started to make sense :)) Thanks for putting these out. Please make more videos with Be!
Thank u for sharing The lift on the hips is what I am lacking in I’m short (1.6m ) so moving on to next handhold that’s pretty out of reach is a challenge always n I’ve a bad habit of making a dynamic move which forces me to barndoor or lose my pyramid stability. So I’ll definitely try some of your shared techniques from Be. to make my moves more fluidly efficient
Thank you for producing this videos Hannah and Be, they can be really helpful for everyone really but specially for women since usually we are shorter in height and less strong with our arms. I can’t wait to go to the climbing gym to try those moves! Good job!
That is absolutely wonderful, and it was great to see you go through this and increasingly less self evident climbs - I adnmit that even if I was impressed by the "theory" as you called it I had a bit of trouble seeing how to apply it and seeing your process really helped linking things. I've try using this on my own projects, thank you so much to you both for such wonderful content!
This series is fantastic - you and Be's chemistry is great and these techniques are so good that I can't believe I haven't seen them anywhere else. Absolutely loving it!
This vid has been on my “should watch” list for weeks, finally made to it! So helpful, thank you guys! Heading off to my local gym to try out some pyramid building myself now! Really helpful video for a beginner like me!🥰
Today was my third bouldering session ever and I feel my climbs are more efficient. My entire session today was dedicated to drop knees with a mix with an inside flag of my body/route allowed. I was able to do many climbs on one route with my arms feeling less pump. Thanks for sharing! Keep them coming.
I'm an absolute beginner and Be's explanations are really helping me make the first steps on the neverending know-where-you-put-your-bloody-feet road. A lot.

Fabulous video ! Masterclass is right ! I love learning technique but never know what to apply where or what to focus on to use the technique I learn, or how to start building muscle memory . This gave me so much , thank you !
Thanks a mil to you and Be for this content! So much other climbing training/technique focused content talks about strength/hangboarding/campusing - this is extremely valuable and something I'm gonna focus on from now on.
Phenomenal content, thank you for posting. The climbing techniques and tips are obviously invaluable, but there is a lot to learn from Be’s coaching style and disposition as well.
I love the nervous laughter every time you accidentally revert back to the movement pattern of "pull self up with arm" in front of Be! 😂 Who wouldn't get nervous accidentally doing that in front of her when she looks like a ballet dancer on the wall??? But she's so gentle and encouraging. ❤
Thanks so much for this video, and the previous one, with Be. This is some of the most useful advice I've ever seen in a climbing video. My technique improved pretty instantly after watching the first one. Thanks again!
I've watched this video several times, I love it. I watched it last year when I just started climbing and it helped me a lot with my progression. This is the best video about climbing technique on Internet, thank you for the content Hannah!
This content is gold! Thank you for sharing and your coach for explaining the logic. I watched, applied hard and my climbing got some much needed flow. Also my fear of heights vanished once I trusted my body positioning your coach showed you. Thank you both.
What an amazing video. This has to be the video I've learnt the most from since I started climbing a couple of years ago. Thanks a ton for the amazing content. All I'm thinking about right now is booking a flight to the UK to get some sessions in with Be. It would be soooo worth it. Thanks a ton for the great content!
Thank you for your videos! I recently started rock climbing and as a short person, all of these techniques are helping me so much. Love how you both work through it and clearly demonstrate and explain it.
Love this masterclasses! Well explained, filmed and edited. Like how it flows between u two, in a way that just watching I can learn even being a newbie at bouldering. Thank u so much 🙏🏻💓
Be is a Revelation😍 i just love these techniques and principles sooo much. The way she was moving around that problem... So effortless, so elegant. So beautiful. That's what i want to be climbing like ❤️ I'm gonna work on those techniques so much in future. Thanks so much for sharing this 🥰
EXCELLENT VIDEO, EXCELLENT COACH. I am a first-year in college and I want to try out a different sport each year; This one I choose climbing! It's so cool to learn techniques like this so early on in my climbing journey!
Thank you so much! Getting into good habits from the start will serve you SO well with climbing! I wish I had had coaching from when I started climbing so I didn’t have so many bag habits and poor movement patterns to unlearn! ☺️
This series is dynamite, Hannah! I watch lots of climbing videos when, frankly, I should really be sleeping. The two vids with Be are among the best I’ve seen. I’m nursing a finger injury at the moment so having some technical drills to practise on easier problems are exactly what I need to keep ticking over. Cheers
Love the video so far--- did just want to give you a heads up for headphone users that your mic audio is not mixed evenly between the right and left side. I was only watching with one headphone in and straining to hear Be's mic before realizing they were split between the ears. Something to look out for when editing in the future :)
Such a great way to analyze technique by comparing one climb to another. Thanks for the super informative content. Can't wait to use it on one of my trainings!
This is great to see! I have sent this video series out to friends starting off with their climbing journey. It is something that I have had to learn through trial and error and not through the logical theory described by Be. Learning this way is far more efficient and really helps visualise movement. I wish I had this when starting off, thank you and Be for sharing!
I definitely wish I had started off my climbing by ingraining these patterns sooner! Really glad you liked the video and think it would be handy for your friends :)

Absolutely. Just tried out stuff from the first half of the video and I can already work moves so much easier with these techniques!

Best tutorial climbing video I’ve watched
Please please do another video with Be. It is such strong content with an incredible amount of take aways.

To Be or not to Be. I could listen to this woman all day as she gives advice. How fortunate anyone is to fall under her supreme tutelage.

This video is a goldmine! I really hope you would do the whole series..

This concept is so simple and yet so challenging at the same time. Really cool.

Be's detailed explanation of her knowledge is both calming and exiting. She's a very inspiring person, as are you Hannah.
Wow, thank you! :)
Just echoing the sentiment among the commenters here- amazing content! I can’t wait to practice this stuff. Thank you so much Hannah!
Thank you Lilli! Really appreciate that! Good luck practicing it ☺️
Drawing those lines makes a huge difference in analysing, 2 clips can look identical at full speed but draw a few lines and you see huge differences
These videos are next level! I think these should be the first techniques to teach to beginners! Let's twist again 🎶👍🏼
Thanks so much Francesca. Glad you think they’re useful 😊
