It is so important and refreshing to see that even accomplished pros can “fail” and learn from their mistakes on the go. These kinds of videos are way more useful than the ones where you just see ppl flashing through things with flawless technique like it’s not big deal.
The above applies for any learning material from bouldering to chopping vegetables (?)
Thanks for keeping this channel so humble ❤️

That's exactly how I feel too! I can relate to a video so much more when I see all the attempts and falls. And that way I'm also able to tell where the crux of a problem is or how good or bad the holds really are, which is kind of difficult to see on video

I’ve quickly become an intermediate climber in less than a year and have begun to project V6/V7 problems - I’ve mostly been learning techniques from channels like you and Magnus; watching you work with Be and now watching her drills and projecting was EVERYTHING I needed right now! I can manage to wiggle my way past a couple techniques on my own, but watching such a graceful climber perform these skills feels directly applicable to a handful of problems I am currently battling and will definitely prove very useful. Thanks for such great quality, always 🙏🏼

This was truly inspiring and insightful to watch. As a person who believes in a growth mindset, seeing Coach Be smile, laugh and say "that's a fun one" after attempting difficult climbs is truly motivating and inspiring. I'm a fairly new climber (4 months now into climbing now) and I find it so helpful to watch videos like this from professionals who always find ways to never give up and keep going, which is so important in any sport, but I especially find it necessary in bouldering. Thank you both for creating this video, I've learnt a lot about new techniques and the importance of warm ups! I will definitely be applying Coach Be's warm up drills and technique training when I climb next!

I'm really impressed by Be's style, she has so much flow. Very heavily rooted in great techniques, seamlessly switching between static and dynamic movement as is most efficient for her. One day I hope to be able to climb even half that hard.
I've been working on my triangle theory somewhat, I had been thinking of it as something to do to learn better technique, but it's really interesting seeing it as something to do every time to have good movements deeply ingrained in the muscle memory.
I tend to climb pretty statically, and I've really been struggling trying to work towards learning dynamic movement in climbing. Between Be's drills and Louis's drills from your earlier video, I have some good idea of where to start intentionally working on learning that. Plus those mountain climber pushes look insane!
So much to learn and to take inspiration from here, thank you for this amazing video!

Amazing video Hannah. I'm pausing the video before each move Be makes and imagining what I would do. It's really eye opening when I see her use a much more efficient technique than what I pictured how the next move would go. Her use of static inside flags vs where I would go with a more dynamic deadpoint is something I need to learn.

Visualization is also called "mind's eye" and while it's uncommon, it isn't rare to find people who simply do not have mind's eye and cannot visualize things in their head. For example some people cannot picture an apple in their mind when asked to despite knowing what an apple is and being able to recognize an apple when they see one.

I can't tell you how transformative these videos have been- thank you both so much! Be is phenomenal. Generating tension in glutes has been a game changer, I just had a question for Be- does she also consciously engage shoulders/ scapula/back whilst climbing and if so what cues does she use?

    • @beclimbing-befuller33
      @beclimbing-befuller33 2 роки тому +5

thank you for your kind words. Absolutely - scapula shrugs are an important part of every warm up to ensure the shoulders and back are strong and ready to engage. It is a lot to consciously think about shoulders and glutes whilst climbing but they are both important cues to focus on during warm up movement drills so they become autonomous when climbing

    • @hannahmorrisbouldering

It really is! Every climber has to spend a little while reading the climb and figuring out the way that works for them. It’s all part of the fun of climbing - it’s supposed to be a puzzle to solve and falling off is how we learn how to solve the puzzle best! ☺️

My what a beautiful climber. I'm 6'4, 280 lbs, and acrophobic. So I'll never climb. But I'm a mathematician, and love how climbing is a combination of athletics, problem solving and imagination..... Be is a fabulous teacher, because she builds her lessons and is teaching whole body......

she's one of the most prettiest girls i've seen in the past few months.. and its not just the appearance but also the way she emits the aura of her thriving in this environment, being internally happy, with a natural smile, i wish i had such a climbing partner!

at 26.19 I am demonstrating not leaning back on your wrists and restricting blood flow from the fore arms - sitting down to rest between problems is fine (better to move around though) just don't lock off or stretch out your forearms - it hinders recovery

      @@beclimbing-befuller33 WOW!!! Coach BE!!!
I used to lean back when I want to watch people on the wall or to figure out my route while resting.
I leave a "!" because I want to remind myself, haha
Hope to see you more after you settle down in N.Z.

Thank you very much for sharing all this very elaborate skills in climbing. I always thought the best idea was to use as less energy as possible. To force the least and you beautifully illustrate that ❤

"Be" is short for "Best", because she's the best, and learning from her is a phenomenal opportunity. Really happy I found y'all's videos! I'm pretty new and it's been ineffably helpful 😁
