- Face Raiders is one of the many things the 3DS had to offer on launch and ironically enough it was one of the best things, I mean who doesn't like raiding faces!

I used to spend whole afternoons with my classmates trying to beat the face raider bosses (we actually did beat the game, no clue how because we were stupid kiddos). Love the way you edit your videos!
I really loved Face Raiders. Can't believe you never talked about how it looked in 3D.
I remember playing Face Raiders once, getting terrified at one of the faces kissing the screen, and never playing it again.
yeah same
Ditto, I have no idea why but the game freaked me out. I ended up putting it in a forbidden folder at the very right end of the home screen so that I'd never have to see it again.
This game was such a blast, I remember having to twist my body a full 360• to hit one of the faces if I was playing the game in a car… good times 😌
I used to ALWAYS play it in the car as a kid
0:40 "It was the first portable device with Miis on it!"
Personal Trainer: Walking for Nintendo DS would like to have a word with you.
@
Personal Trainer: Walking - 2008
Tomodachi Collection - 2009
@ still doesn't discount the fact the PT: Walking came first.
@ well if that's the case, then neither of those are correct. The first portable device with Miis on it is...
The Wii Remote. You can save Miis to your Wii Remote and bring them to a friend's house.
@@TruExtentChannel huh
Tip: Where ever the soccer
ball moon boss is turning, the laser goes the opposite
This might be one of my favorite videos you've made so far. The pacing, comedy, and showcasery are all equally balanced.
I like to think Nintendo has every face ever used for face raiders stored in a digital vault somewhere
I can imagine a lot of people having forgotten Face Raiders throughout the years.
Pretty awesome video!
I used to be creeped out when I played Face Raiders with me and my family's faces 😅 but yeah I used to love playing it on the 3DS. ☺️
Same
Fun Fact: In the 1st phase of the final boss, the direction it rotates is the opposite of the direction where the laser follows when reflected from the crystals
I loved this minigame. I remember the anger of not understanding how you are supposed to beat the final boss (Disco Ball)
I don't think I've beaten it to this day!
Lol ikr, I didn’t know how to beat the face raiders bosses when I was 6
and then theres the bullshit 2nd phase
@ThatGuyWhoGames after you beat disco you have to beat Afro and then over
“You shoot yellow balls to defeat them”
🤨
Bro I actually have played a lot with all the 3DS pre-installed games, this was one of my favorites and it gave me so much nostalgia seeing those bosses and patterns again. Oh and I definitely remembered how hard the last level was. I'm not even sure if I completed it in the end.
Anyway, awesome video, thank you so much for covering a piece of my childhood, you gained one subscriber :)
I think the most underrated part of this game is the 2nd phase to the final boss. You're given the illusion that you've beat the game, but wait, plot-twist, hes not defeated yet! you gotta shoot his afro and start the 2nd phase, shit scared the life outta me as a kid, and it was even harder to complete since if you accidently shoot his afro, you tank HALF YOUR HP.
Face Raiders was my favorite game back in the day. I have more memories of it then many of the actual 3DS games.
hehy
hello
hello😠
hello😡
🌪🌊☄💧🔥🌀🌫🌨🌩⛈⚡☔
Honestly goated video man! Liked the pacing, comedy and editing style, can't wait to see more.
I loved that game back then, might do a video on it again sometime soon
2:02 I played it a lot... but that was only because I was an ignorant kid who loved the Soundtrack and thought the faces were funny. :/ but seriously that OST is amazing.
Dude you are like, way underrated for the level of editing and quality to these videos. Seems like you have been toughing it out for about 4 years. Good luck man, you'll get a spike in viewers soon
I got a 3ds on one of my birthdays like 4 or 5 from my dad and I still have the charger! And all of the games. I still play on it a lot. I even have 2 games of super mario
When I was young I was creeped out by the “Wuh Ha HA!”
This has bought me the hugest nostalgia I’ve ever felt playing this as a kid at 10 and 9 and I am 19 years old now. I would literally play this over and over again till I go back to being a kid all over again. My grandma would freak out everytime I used to play this around her as she would think I’d be taking pics of her and everyone else LMAO!
I played the heck outta both these AR games. And sadly for me, as if I wasn't outcast enough, nobody ever acknowledged this game.
It's so bizarre. I played it a ton when I had literally nothing else to play on my 3DS, and then never touched it again and forgot about it until someone brought it up. Cool idea though.
I remember Face Raiders, one of my childhood games. It was such a fun game and I remember when I wouldn't just make the faces the enemies, but also the furniture and drawings as well. Made it more silly and dynamic in some ways. Also, great vid, I like the humor, editing, analysis, and extra facts as well. I bet the thumbnail of this vid is a foreshadow of what was shown in the end of this video lol. Keep up the great work. (I wonder if you'll do a vid of Miitopia)
Miitopia was hard for me to get into, but I feel like as an adult it’s just not my style anymore, maybe one day if I get into that mindset and be able to compare it to the switch version, it should be fun!
I never passed the Final Stage as a kid. After I managed to defeat the boss during the first round where you cause the laser beams to hit him, I couldn’t afterwards when he launched stars into me. I then found out not to shoot his afro and finally completed it all these years later.
I remember playing (and completing) this game for the 1 or 2 short years I had the 3DS. Man, it was a trip.
I'd assume you get this a lot, but this is some stellar content, you're hella underrated
Keep up the good work, dude!
Love your editing man, this video brought me back years, played too much face raders
I remember not being able to beat stage 3 because the sun boss scared the hell out of me for some reason. Good times. Also that extra stage level is stupid hard for no reason.
My childhoody, I snuck this into my daycare and played face raiders, yep, I could have played mario but I decided to play this. Worth it 💯
The part where your 3DS was taped to the ceiling fan made me laugh so hard I subscribed.
I played it so much as a kid
I used to play face raiders still do but on 2ds because unfortunately my 3ds turns on for 3 seconds then makes a weird sound and cuts off
5:46 I bet this part is going to be a meme one day.
I love watching videos about niche childhood video games.
I didn’t know it was forgotten.😂
this game used to scare me as a kid
Younger me had so much trouble doing the final boss. Though I did enjoy the 2nd phase's theme. It has a motif of the title theme and come on the boss laughs at you in the theme. The boss laughs because even though it's armor is gone it still has an ace in the hole. I did end up beating it... eventually.
I used to spend so much time playing this game along with Streetpass Mii Plaza.
I played this game all the time as a kid and I found a really cool glitch if you play road like in a car or bus when ever the vehicle terns it would take the stage with it forcing you to move around more which makes for a more challenging and fun experience In my opinion.
You couldn't pay me to forget this gem of a game
Every single Friday after elementary school, my mom would get me Little Ceasar's Pizza WITH crazy bread damnit, and I would just head into my room and *GRIND* Face Raiders. Me and my cousins would spend time and time to grind the ever living HELL out of the game and even got as far as the final boss.
Amazing side game for a handheld console, love the vid!
This game always freaked me out for reasons I can't explain. Especially the enemies that kiss the camera.
I used to play this a lot as a kid in my 3ds , miss those days
this channel is criminally underated
the final boss used to give me nightmares, it was really hard to beat ngl
I played this a lot when I had my first 3DS in 2019.
I thought, that I was the only one playing the game till now, seems like at least one more person also had a great childhood
There was about 2 weeks between the day I first bought my 3ds and the day I would be able to buy my first game (Pokemon X) and much of that time was playing this game. I specifically remember playing it one morning when school was delayed.
I remember once I secretly take pictures of a couple random people at the airport and would use their faces on face raiders I was laughing so hard and loud the whole gate area heard me😂 ahhh good times
I looked at your channel after watching and I was very surprised you didn't have a few hundred thousand subscribers, huh
Your channel is really underrated keep up the great work!
the memories of little 7 year old me and my friends trying to discus our lefts and rights when it came to the final boss because we all sucked at it, never forgot face raiders for that one reason
i just remembered how to charge the 3DS and i played so much of this game
Amazing video 👍
Doorman I had to play it a lot
thank you for taking my face.
could never beat the disco boss
been describing this to my friends for the past week, glad I remember this! ^_^
This game takes me back to the good ol' days when I was 12. 😅
When Play Coins got brought up, I was expecting a joke involving shaking the 3DS in your hand for a bit.
Needless to say, I'm a *FAN* of the jokes in this video.
Ahh face raiders. Never passed that fricking endboss
great video. super creative.
(this got on my home page recommended, I hope it does really well)
**Chews gum** "Sir are you high?"
"Only on Tuesdays."
How time flies, and it's weird, it feels as if Nintendo 3ds was born and died yesterday.
This is one of my favorite games on my 3ds
Your actually mad funny and this video was awesome. Also, ur definitely right about the game being pretty cool, I remember playing it with my brother and it was rlly fun. Face raiders was a W
I remember the time as a kid I tried to draw my own AR card for the 3ds to detect.
(It didn't work) :(
I randomly thought of this game but me and my cousins used to play it all the time😭
i have so much nostalgia for this game
I decided to try to play this game, and well... Guess I cursed myself with those GODDAMN TWO MOUTHS
Bruh, i remember this like it was yesterday
The music's a banger too.
This was truly the game of all times
I've had a lot of fun taking pictures of drawing, paterns and other non-face items just to see them mpve eith their mouth xD
I loved face raiders, I used to always play it
I remember my first time at a local sushi resturant with my family, the waitress gave me a 3DS game to wait while the sushi was being prepared and the only game on it was this. I had no idea how to play lol. Good times.
I used to play face raiders so much, but I completely forgot about it lol
But fr, we all suffered on the disco ball on stage 4 and the extra stage
Finally someone talking about it.
I played Face Raiders much more than I had any right to, very glad I wasn’t the only one! I don’t know what it was about it but I guess I was just really compelled to fight my grandma’s floating disembodied head
Love this channel keep up the fun videos!
This man literally strapped his 3ds to a fan just to rack up Play Coins, what a Giga Chad
I was trying to remember this games name but finnaly i always played this on my brothers 3Ds
The AR cards I remember being awesome
Favorite 3DS game, best thing to play to past the time
Couldn’t agree more!
I used to love this so much
I just played it yesterday before I watched this video what a coincidence
Ok now hear me out a Face Raiders sequel on mobile using the camera
I used to play that game all the time!
Gives me EyeToy vibes somehow, but I still wanna try it!
I would play this all the time
I have been searching for this game cause I forgot the name of it for like 2 years
Imagine if they make a face raiders sequel on the switch, with better graphics and gameplay, along with a story and campaign. I personally think that would be awesome.
to me, this game wasn't a minigame. It was the whole thing
Literally I have a 3DS but it’s old and I’m getting bored of my faces in my 3DS but I have a other it’s of those new 3DS and that one has cool faces that I put.
I loved playing face raiders! Never beat it lol
I find it so bizarre how Face Raiders is now getting a pseudo-comeback into the public eye, because i've been looking around for references for my own personal reasons and there's so much fan content realised RECENTLY, like...this month recently....it's so bizarre how it's just suddenly gaining traction again!
Of course, you gotta be actively looking for it (hens why i'm saying pseudo-comeback), but still!
Stuff aside, i feel like this review isn't really going that much in-depth and could probably benefit from going more into what the game has other than basics. Like...idunno: talking about the butterflies that heal you? The Bombs? The Golden faces that give you a hefty bonus when completing a level? Some of the Bosses patterns? The UFO? The Show a friend feature? Seriously, more bulk would have been nice.
