The problem with Civ games is that after a certain Age, you're left with scores of workers with nothing to do. Pollution in a way can be a welcome element although I agree it could get very monotonous
or simply automate your workers... after you've built all your mines and farms they wont rebuild it. they will then just build railroads and clean ya pollution.
Honestly Pollution is one mechanic I wish they had kept in future civ games. Also I actually liked stacks of death. yeah I'm pretty much the most hateable kind of Civ 3 player :D

It was beyond surreal to hear this song in Mall Tycoon II, because it was so deeply ingrained in my brain as being a Civ III song. It suits this game better anyway, imo

Also a sense of modern turmoil and challenges. It really helped to paint the modern era differently with all its pollution and threat of nuclear armageddon.
This game had so many problems like corruption, waiting 3 min for your turn, culture problems, diplomacy problems. And yet I played this game more than any other game in my life. It took years for me to get bored of it. Why do games have to eventually get old? I wish i could wipe my memory of civ clean so i could build that first battleship, launch my first sea invasion, conquer my first city, and launch my first nuke all over again. :'(
@@hetzer5926 another lil trick: if you have ya economy up but get a lot of pollution, set ya workers to automatic. if you enable advanced options you can even tell them to only repair or clean tiles where you built on it already.
@@Daxter250, that was one of the first things I found out and still do. Especially if I have a metric ton of them and several cities/whole lotta land. I just tell my workers, “okay, do what you think is best, just, don’t clear forest tiles we need those later”

In a way, it makes me melancholic because it's like I'm standing outside my palace reminiscing all the wars and stuff that made my civ the way it is in the modern era.
Civ V had absolutely wonderful music! But true, they weren't so good with setting the atmosphere of the era, especially with the terrible leader portraits.
It scares me when some random war units approach me and cross my borders and I try to contact them and they refuse... Then I know: "The war has just began..."

I came here because the music in Civ 6 is so sad and dull. I found myself reflecting on the music of previous games, and I'm now playing this over the pathetic offering Civ 6 has. Sometimes you don't appreciate how good something is until it's gone.

I really hate how it's still like that in Civ VI where leaders are wearing completely inappropriate dresses. Very unimmersive.
