Hazard is a really flexible tank. If in the future we got 6v6 as the standard format I could see teams using Hazard interchangibly as both main and off tank just because of his ability to deny the enemy's attempts at taking space while simultaneously having the ability to peel for nearby supports.
Yeah thats how hes been fitted into 6v6 comps currently, often with another off tank where the offensive pressure does alot of heavy lifting during cooldowns
It took 3 minutes in the practice range to figure out his kit is overtuned (not overloaded) and that he will dominate especially in coordinated lobbies.

Is ranked and actual competitive play that different? I constantly hear about genji being trash and how hazard was underwhelming and now I see both played at the highest level.
Ranked and professional play is night and day. Its quite easy to understand how a pro team that has some of the most skilled players could figure out that x characters can be strong. But even then, they use strategies and specific comps to make hazard or genji work. Ranked and pro gameplay is completely different hence its not that x heroes are bad, its just pro players utilise them a lot better and can pull off plays most cant.
Professional play is the only real indicator of how strong a hero really is. That is because hero strength is not only dependent on individual factors such as damage/healing numbers, but also depends on the current meta and synergies (Genji was used over Tracer for the last few months to deal with Juno Brig with burst damage even though Genji never received a buff). Either way, Genji is good right now and Hazard is also very good, even in ranked. The difference between ranked and pro play is that ranked allows you to 'get away' with more things. Want to play Junkrat? The opposing team won't hard counter you so you can get away with it, but in pro play you are completely out of luck.
@Coach_Ocie that makes sense, I typically play fighting games so aside from execution requirements a strong character is gonna be strong at almost every level.
i have to ask, ocie have you played celeste (i asume that you have)? and if you have how many golden berries have you gotten? because analizing a hazard mirror meta looks more difficult than getting 7-b Golden
Top down view is something I like to use when I can, but I often have very little time to record footage (in this case I had 2 days to grab every POV while I was working on a different video so it was difficult). I agree that it's sometimes optimal to explain certain concepts or show things, but in this video's case (and many others) I often won't have the time or opportunity to get those shots.
