I’m studying abroad at Fudan this Fall and you’re seriously one of the only people who has actual helpful vids/ what it might be like so thank you 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
H izak. Hi! I applied through a study abroad group through my current university! If you are in college now, I recommend going to your school’s study abroad website and looking there or going to the study abroad office and talking to an advisor as well as your current academic advisor. If you’re not in university yet I’m not sure exactly how to apply. How this helped! Good luck 😊
Hey man, I plan to go to Fudan University next semester! Your VLOG really helped me out to find out if Shanghai and especially the Fudan University is the right thing for me to do! Thank you for your content and nice work! Last question to you personally: what's your conclusion about your exchange? was it worth? Was Shanghai the right thing to do for you? Pros and Cons? Maybe you could do a last "resume" kind a thing Video. Wish you the best :)
Hello! I'm Brian Allen from Mexico City, I'll be starting classes at Fudan in February 2019 and I've been watching all your videos. Thanks for uploading all those incredible videos, I have no doubt that they will help me a lot. I wanted to ask you if you could help me with a question I have, do you know how to select the best possible room in the main building of foreign students? I have heard rumors that the number of your room (depends if it is even or odd) determines which direction the balcony will be, is this true?
I m loving these vlogs man! For how long are you going to stay there man? Ii m planning to go this year and I'd LOVE if i could meet you! Also, I m planning to study MBBS. Do you know whether that's in Guanghua tower or is it in another building? Thanks in advance :)
Hey Bro. I've enjoyed your content on the topic of Fudan. Few questions: Does the international dorms have a curfew + what is the situation with having someone stay? How many foreigners roughly are there on campus? Is there any good clubs/bars/night life nearby? Appreciate your time.
Hey man, thank you for watching! To answer your questions, 1. After 12 am, the international dorms will close the gates, and each person must show their room card and write their name down in order to enter. But, if you want to bring friends, there is ways around it. 2. I don't know the percentage of foreign students in Fudan, but it is pretty low. If I had to guess, it's prob less than 10%, but don't quote me on that 3. There are clubs all over Shanghai, and all of them are average~20 min away from the int. dorms, but if you don't want to go so far, there is a big bar called La Bamba like half mile away from the dorms that foreign students always go to to dance and hang out, on top of a few other bars. Hope that helps! Let me know if I can help with anything else
Did you speak Chinese before going to China? I saw in your video that your parents speak Chinese so I'm wondering how yours was. I'm planning on studying at Fudan University next year, but I haven't been learning Chinese for very long. How difficult do you think it would be for me to get around in Shanghai?
Far out man I was there in 2013 and my dorm was in lvl 3. This video brought back so many memories. No much has changed there! edit: Wouldn't be surprised if my bike is still chained there lol
Amazing??? What the fuck! You are a foreign student entitled to reasonable on-campus living conditions while I, as a local Chinese student, was obliged to live in a pigpen-like filthy dormitory room for four years. This inhuman treatment not only caused serious mental pressure on me and negatively affected my academical performance but also nearly ruined my life. It was so unfair considering that I was admitted as an elite high school student but was treated like a prisoner. This made the most important reason for me to leave China and stay overseas permanently.
mate, you also paid not even half as much as international students for their dorm lol. You could have just rented out for a little bit more than what they paid.
