I thought waypoints just carried on flying without signal. Plenty of vids showing it does

Not with the mavic air 2. The drone doesn't store the waypoints onboard the drone the days is all external which is why it has to maintain a connection to the remote.

Excellent video showcasing Litch app, does it allow shooting longer hyperlapse with multiple batteries?
Example :- Battery 1 covers 30% distance & it returns home, change battery & it goes to the point when last shot was take & then continue further.

It may be possible by stopping the mission and then restart the mission at the last waypoint it "executed". I'm not sure how accurate that would be though and I would think you'd want to overlap a little to make blending the two videos together easier. I'd try it out but I sold my Mavic Air 2 and the Mavic 3 I have now is not supported by Litchi which I really miss. But the the video and photo quality of the Mavic 3 is so much better. Now if only dji would release an SDK for the Mavic 3...the best of both worlds. 😊

The manufacturer of that particular strobe is Lume Cube. You purchase one from Amazon at the following link.
