Diff-REE-ential ?? 🤣🤣 sorry couldn’t resist!! Very cool tractor!!
😂🤦🏼♂️
Had one on the farm back in the 60s. Great tractor for a small operation.
Nice!
Grew up on a 1967 Model. Great tractor. Dad still has it.
Nice!
I love your tractor man I learned how to drive my grandpa's ford tractor on accident when me and my cousin were messing with it we just about drove it into the pond
Thanks for the video. I drove one when I was 10 years old back in 1981.
Cool!
We owned 2 of these, memories! 👍🥇🇺🇸
I always hated those synco range when I first started driving it , they where a pain to shift if you were new to synchro range
Yep, I always thought they were pretty finicky and easy to get stuck in between gears if you were new to the pattern. Power shift was head and shoulders above IMO.
that 1960s tractor looks way cleaner than a 1985 john deere 1140i drove once
Remembered everything from practical lesson thanks to this video
As an engineering student, it would be an embarrassment
Terry Wagner. They sure were. On 50 to 100 acre farm they'd do it all
I had a 2630 it did not have the synchro range it had a different shift
System with a High and low range and a gear shift 1 2 3 4 but it also had a shuttle hydraulic lever which had hi-lo which I think was direct and a under drive similar to a Torque Amplifier on a IHC.
Interesting!
Mabye a stupid question, but you talked about gear ranges. If i say wanted to go down from 6th to 2th for some reason. Is it like a car where I have to slow down so I don't over-rev? Or do I have to stop? Just qurious. Very good video btw! Loved it!
With the Syncro range you can simply clutch between the gears in that range and the gears will be "synced." Going between ranges just need to be careful not to grind the gears basically and possibly slow depending on what gear you are going to.
Just acquired my grandfather's that he bought new. I will be working on it for some time to get it where I want it but should not take long to get it going. Do you happen to know what category 3 point implements work with this? I just have the one blade he had with it
It has a catagory 2, 3 point so anything category 2 will work, it might work with category 1, but you'll need the adapters.
@@radozeman thanks. Someone just told me it was a category 1 i figured too big for that. Been really enjoying your videos on the restoration and repair on this. I just got my grandfathers tractor so i am about to start some repair and will do restoration a little at a time.
Cool we have like like it
Nice!
What is the 3 point load control positions for? Mine is not working right and somewhat stuck. only works when the handle is over half way up and not much power. Please help. Where should it be set at to work properly? Thanks
Mine is set in the D position (all the way down), I've noticed the same thing if put in the L position, I don't fully understand how the functions work.
@@radozeman Hey thanks for the reply. Seams like mine is very hard to move. Any advice?
WD40 around the lever maybe?

i got it. Thanks for the video. Great help. Works great not
I've always heard you want to let an old diesel tractor run from idle to half throttle for 5 minutes before you run it and let it idle for 1 minute before you turn off. The 5 minutes is annoying . It's what it says on my 1974 Ford 3500 and same with 1 minute idle before turn off. Thoughts ?
I always try to warm the tractor up and let it cool down, all depends how hard you working it if you ask me.
Did you buy it from the auction
Buy? Buy what? 😎
Any hidden greats lol
Not any more 😎
