    For those that may be wondering... based on the looks of that rear differential, it looks like the internal axle shaft slid out due to probably either failure of the splines or the spider gears exploded. The axle shaft slides into the rear diff and engages into the spider gears via a splined end. It's then retained in place and via a C-clip. If the axle shaft twists off the spline end, or the spider gears fail, the C-Clip can no longer retain the axle shaft, so it can basically just slide off freely.
    Spinning those huge tires/wheels like that is hell for an axle. I don't care how well built it is. 🤷‍♂️

    @Caprice1977 2 роки тому +7

    To everyone out there stay away from Ten Axle’s This happened to my friend years ago use Moser axle’s you could always call Them and tell him how much power you’re running and I’ll make you a special Axle just for your car ,
    And another thing to always check your fluid in your differential and make sure you have enough because if It gets
    to low the bearings they will become extremely hot and weld themselves together and I’ll start cutting up your axle.
    It doesn’t matter how big your wheels are I see a lot of people making that comment at the track we run slicks
    So we can put the power straight to the ground the car lifts up instead of you burning out that’s how all differentials break and Transmissions etc..
    1. use Moser axles
    2 . Check your differential fluid
    3. Stay away from aftermarket differential covers nothing disperses the rear differential fluid better than the factory one.
    4 use arp Heat treated 8740 chromoly steel rated a 190,000 psi wheel studs

    The power is not what weakened the lug studs and axial. The underlying problem is larg wagon wheel and rubber band tires that shock load the studs and axial. I have seen the same failure with a stock low power engine. If you run this kind of tire and wheel you must check for cracking studs and axial often.you see a tire spinning has very little traction so the load is also low .
