I'm glad your favorite song wasn't take warning or bad town. That would be hard for your daughter to explain to the other kids at school. Lol. No, seriously though that's awesome, I can honestly say I fully support that decision.
Back in school I was responsible for the music playing in the cafeteria and this album was of course one of the CDs rolling on repeat. One day one of the leisure educators brought me to the principal office to discuss the music. This song was, in some weird way, interpreted as a Hitler salute instead of "Sleep long, sleep well". I tried to explain that they were fiercly wrong and realized that I could show them the booklet with ska-man's backpatch. The symbol of peace! The leisure educator managed to fool the principal that the symbol actually was an old nordic variant of a swastika. I was relieved from the DJ responsibility and the kids at school had to listen to bad music again. No one ever apologized or admitted that they were wrong. I was 15 and ashamed for no reason, due to adult ignorance!
Jamaica Man, non ti ringrazierò mai abbastanza per le lyrics in descrizione... Grazie Grazie Grazie e grazie 🙏🏻 Sei l'unico (nel mondo) che ha postato i testi totalmente completi ❤

i have listened to all sorts of music, just like everyone else. all sorts of punk and rock and etc. and nothing can even compare to operation ivy, yet still i look down the page of comments to find three other people interested in this song... i can find more that that on a video by hanna montana. im angered.
@kingxskippy i like melodies, thats why i love op ivy, it combines my two favorite elements, btw, most punk songs choruses do have melodies, you are referring to hardcore, even then though, some like bad brains songs, and black flag songs have some touches of melody
@CortneyMinusYou i almost got a keychain at the punk record store that said "fuck hot topic" but my mom said i wasnt allowed to bring it to school.now how will i fend off posers!
The most powerful rocking song ever written about the harsh life of being homeless
Ain't that just the truth, man. I rode the AC Transit bus on those streets, and this is exactly how it felt.
They played such a huge role in my upbringing, I named my only daughter after my favorite song....UNITY! !!!

I must have been about the same age when i too received the life lesson that you can't win against stupidity (or self-righteous ignorance anyway)
How in any universe is the peace sign a nordic swastika? Make it make sense.

A song about spiritually awakening to this demonic matrix 🕶
