As a current user of the G Pros X's, and a former owner of the Original Cloud Alpha's, I overall prefer the Pro X's for mic quality, customizability, overall sound, and comfort. But the HyperX's, to me they just look better and the console compatibility is a nice bonus.
I would not agree completly I sold hyperx cloud alpha S and coz mic was low than bought logi g prox and yes mic is better with blue voice and whatnot but sound quallioty no matter how many profiles u can download or customize it cant compare to my ex alpha S so Im thinking about buying them again and try with logitech mic and dac see what happends
if youre on pc. i would say get the alpha s. pair it with Steelseries GG to give yourself eq and spatial sound editing. perfect combo. ive been looking for replacement headphones and i cant find anything thats comparable to the alpha s. even the new hyper x wireless versions dont compare. if the alpha s headphones just got the speaker and sound upgrade like the alpha wireless has they would dominate the market 10x over.
I tried both and have similar experience like you. Logitech sound seems limited and less comfortable. My right ear started to hurt from touching the driver. Hyperx wider sound makes better impression and easier to distinguish various sounds. Also very comfortable after hours of wearing. Adjustment on hyperx is not stable enough after few years I have to adjust pretty much each time so it started to be annoying. I had software issue with Logitech just getting stuck at "loading resources" and making it unable to enter headphones settings after longer use. I prefer hyperx cable braid making it feel much better quality. When I touch Logitech one it feels like it might break any second. Thanks to Hyperx length it makes it easier to put behind desk with other wires and connect to back panel of PC.
Yea I find the g pro x to be uncomfortable very quickly and the wire is definitely on the delicate side. I do find the cable to be better quality on hyper x but I don't like the wire being very hard to move and deal with.
Honestly for music the more neutral sound of the Logitech would be better however the hyper x does movies a bit better and does music really well so I'd personally push you toward the hyper x plus if you want less bass it's just an easy switch on the earcup

I'd say the alpha s for single player games it's got a fuller sound and rich environment detail however the cloud 2 have a bit more detail in the high mids but the good thing about the alpha is you can turn down the bas with the sliders I do think for the price tho the cloud 2 are great but I'ma say the alpha s

I have the steelseries arctis pro + gamedac. But I feel like they are awful for the new warzone 2 game so I’ve just purchased the Logitech G Pro X wired. I’m hoping it’s an improvement
I've recently gotten a ps5 and have been testing both with and without 3d audio and I really think the Logitech sound best on PS5 but you might be a lil better off with the s due to better comfort and those bass sliders on the earcups plus they sound great with a much wider sound stage
(forgot to mention) when it comes to using 3d audio with some games I would say the alpha s sound better where as the g pro x can sound somewhat staticy and boomy but some other games g pro sound a bit better so it's a back and forth thing when it comes to 3d audio

I think there both great the g pro x with call of duty has great directional audio but the footsteps when grenades and other explosions are happening the footsteps disappear but I haven't tried the alpha with cod however they were great for other fps games I've played

There both great headsets I guess it really boils down to what do you play if you play a lot of competitive games I realized the g pros succeed but more story focused games I really enjoy the clouds but there a bit heavier in the low end some might find a bit darker
Neither cause you need a headphone jack to use both of these unless you have a 3.5mm adapter then probably for regular use and mobile gaming I'd say the Logitech g pro x especially considering it's more durable
The rode procaster not the USB version. I love the mic, I also put a fuzzy cap pop filter on to help with plosives although this mic does already have an internal pop filter.

You can get the cloud alpha s for much less then 100 that's my main recommendation however if your on PC the Corsair hs80 USB is an excellent option as well
Neither of these are wireless but if your gonna use a dongle or have a phone with a headphone jack then yes I truly think the g pro x lend better to competitive games and the cloud alpha for more immersive titles
I got the hypercloud lls yday. Super dissappointed, not a good headset for games like for say Call of Duty Warzone 2. The bass and the ambient noise is way to loud, specially with shooting or things blowing up covering all other sounds like footsteps etc. My G35 Logitech broke and thought I would get the hypers, sent them back and ordered G Pro X now.
As of writing this comment the hyper x cloud alpha s is on sale on Amazon for $70 which is crazy

the hyperx alpha s has a better sound, it has 65ohm against only 35ohm on the logitech

G pro x is cleaner and richer but the cloud alpha has a deeper bass rumble and overall warmer sound signature and still has high end detail

My favorite fps headset is the hyper x cloud 2 but now I highly recommend cloud 3 for fps gaming

The USB DAC seems to work on PS5 but I'll be honest I didn't try the virtual surround on it. I do know that the tempest 3d engine works great tho.
