I also have both because I got the original G PRO X and was very excited when the wireless came out. Few things I noticed that I thought I should add: 1) The mics may look the same and they may fit both headsets, but they are not the same. The ones that came with the Wireless ones are far more sensitive. If you put the Wired ones on the Wireless headset, you will notice the difference and it will barely pick up any sound (however the inverse gives you a fantastic mic). 2) The microphone quality for the wireless is actually pretty appalling for its price tag, if compared to the wired versions. There is very noticeable compression (of course this is relative to wired - but still sound OK in the grand scheme of things). This doesn't just make you sound bad, it is also an issue if you use software to reduce background noise like RTX voice or KRISP. The loss in fidelity means that the AI is unable to differentiate voice from background noise. The wired version allowed me to use RTX voice at full noise suppression and I can't even do 10% on the wireless ones. 3) Whilst both boasts 50mm drivers, the Wireless ones actually sound better. This may have to do with the batteries within the Wireless headsets directly powering the drivers (rather than via a 3.5mm cable) which gives it a bit more clarity. it is minor but I have noticed sounds I did not hear before when on the wired ones. 4) The G Hub software for the Wired works fine but the Wireless ones are extremely buggy - I am hoping this gets fixed in a future update. That said, the freedom of no cables is great, and so I will likely be sticking with the Wireless ones.
@@wave6427 I spent about 8+ hours of gaming, calls, music on the wired pro X version: there's no ANC (active noise cancellation). The wireless's only boon over the wired is its long battery life, and that its well..... wireless. If you can go with the wired; do it.
I've tested both and while sound is subjective power is not. The wired headphones have more power definitely which means deeper ear cup rattling bass, especially when used with the DAC that comes with the headset. I tried using them without the DAC on just my phone and the sound quality wasn't as deep which is to be expected. I'm assuming if you have a smart DAC that can detect headphone impedance these will sound good on your system. Both the wired and wireless versions are crisp and clear at max volume, the wireless headset is not as loud or punchy as its wired counterpart which left me wanting. I took two samples with the mics and the blue voice off and as everyone else has mentioned the wireless mic is not that great, the wired mic is great but you'll need to use the Logitech BLUE noise canceling software if you want to get rid of keyboard and mouse noise which brings the quality of the mic down to a similar but slightly better level than the wireless mic. In the end the mic quality is a toss up if you're using discord or streaming it wont matter. (If you're doing the latter you should be using an stand alone XLR mic anyway.) If you don't care about wired v wireless but only care about sound and like more power/bass get the wired headset, if you don't care about bass get the wireless. Those are my thoughts.
