A very productive way to build with cob! why the brick? In the past, the cob building has been limited by requiring a supporting roof structure like straw bale had (Pima cty az) Any news on that? thanks Bruce tucson az
The cage forms are actually easy to build. 2x4's for the framing, and then just nail on the wire. The only challenging part is finding the right wire gauge and hole sizes. It's usually special order.
That's beautiful. I love your technique. Keep innovating!
So cool!
EXCELLENT work Alex!!! one of the best methods i love so far is yours!!! thank you!!!
Glad you like it!
this is cool. i like cob.
now THATS GOOD HOLIDAY MUSIC!
Absolutely the best result!!! ❤😍
Beautiful! Love this 'modern' look with the bricks!
Thanks!
Beautiful! Wish i saw this sooner... I made a cabin from GRP fibreglass and OSB
NM I just saw your video on the new cob bldg code 2021 irc, still curious about the brick though
How long do you have to wait for the next wall to put on top?
So the interior wall is all plaster over wire mesh?
No wire mesh is actually required over cob walls. The plaster can go straight onto the cob, which is really nice!
How many days did it take to build this and what are the dimensions please?
I like the brick idea, to keep moisture from splashing the bottom of the house when it rains or floods. How much did this cost?
The brick stem wall maybe cost me around $800.

I mostly just like the brick aesthetic for the stem wall. Not required to do with brick.
Hi, how did you make the cages for

An overly complex cobb shed? Seems unnecessary.
It's proof of concept
You keep commenting how overly complex this is. I don't think you understand what we're trying to accomplish here.
