To me it's about knowing our worth, our limitations, embracing it all, and standing up for our needs and what's good for us. We are wired to connect and build intimate relationships, but if all society offers us these days is to serve as meat/ entertainment for immature men, it's crucial for our own sanity to be able to say no to poor treatment and choose to rather stay alone. I still believe love is out there, but there has been a total revolution because of social media, online "dating", the hookup culture, women being pushed to lower their standards in order to please men.. therefore it is harder to find love and experience it long term. That's why I also think self love is the key here. Finding how to truly love ourselves will keep us uninterested in fake/abusive relationships with men who are not good for us. Instead of looking for validation in our relationships/men so much, we need to learn how to be more self focussed, in a good way, and be inspired by how (most) men are more focused on what benefit them.
