You applied the Rubber Cement incorrectly. You should put it on both surfaces (you want to stick together), let it get tacky, then put the two surfaces together carefully. Because once they touch, they will not separate.

I recently bought a katana shift knob but I couldn’t pull the reverse lever. I got scared and panic so I reverse park with no shift knob in a packed area

I had a Kartboy Short Throw Shifter and Bushings installed today along with a Raceseng Reverse Lockout and Redline Goods shift boot. However I was not able to do the ebrake boot because I did not know what adhesive to use. It's been about 8 months since you did your install, how is the adhesive holding up? Any waves or the boot pulling apart?
